[Solved] Queued: Tw.jetwd.cu.cc
wolstech replied to jasonymy's topic in Suspended and Queued Accounts
They can and do queue, but the last few times I made one it started working within a few hours at most. My sub domains that point to non-HH servers started working in minutes. Then again I'm on Stevie so his will take longer being on johnny. His DNS still doesn't look right though, and he'll be queued forever if he never adds it in cpanel. -
[Solved] Queued: Tw.jetwd.cu.cc
wolstech replied to jasonymy's topic in Suspended and Queued Accounts
The right way to do this is to use NS records pointed to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org on the main domain jetwd.cu.cc. Delete the CNAME from the tw.jetwd.cu.cc subdomain. Once everything starts working, create the tw subdomain through cPanel. I'm seeing A and CNAME records, which aren't supported for this. The fact it works at all is interesting since the jetwd.cu.cc domain isn't your main domain. @yashrs: Only actual domains (addons/parked/main) normally queue when being set up. -
[Solved] Malware suspension...which file?
wolstech replied to wolstech's topic in Escalated Requests
That'd be mail cache for a webmail client I run for somebody. For what it's worth, that is actually an accurate detection. The content is a phishing mail for customers of a German bank. Deleted. -
A lack of fully functional MySQL does not render the server useless, especially since it is functional if you use the older engine (myisam). Postgresql is also offered if you wish to use it. Because the server still works (albeit poorly) I wouldn't call it down. Incapacitated describes it better.

Thats odd... Try changing your cpanel password. On the password change page, make sure you check the "Allow MySQL password change" option if its not already checked. That might fix phpmyadmin. If phpmyadmin works again, try recreating your database users to fix them.

Do you mean add a second domain to your account or get a second something.heliohost.org domain? There is no way to get a second heliohost subdomain with a single account, and you can only have one account unless an admin has given you permission for two. If you mean regular domains, like those offered by .tk, you can add them using the add-on domains function in cPanel.

Wait a little longer. Johnny accounts can sometimes take up to 5 days to come out of the queue.

Nothing has been said either way on it, but it's still broken
-
Not sure if it was restarted or not, but I agree that it does feel faster. I'm curious as to what the downtime was for...

No they will not appear in softaculous when the MySQL server is fixed, however these installations that do not appear in softaculous can be treated as if you manually installed it. If the installed software works, there's no need to remove them. If you want to remove them for some reason you will need to do so manually.

It broke on February 17th I believe, and nobody knows when it'll be fixed. As yashrs said, you can just delete the files and drop the database. As for installation of software, download it from the maker's website, upload it, and unpack the archive in file manager. Then just follow whatever instructions it comes with for installation. If it gives you database errors, you'll need to ask the maker how to modify it to not use InnoDB tables. I'd avoid remote install scripts. I've used a few that got flagged as malware. Also, cURL causes quite a bit of load. If anything, it adds complexity and probably increases your chances of being suspended.

That account is not suspended.

It is indeed inactive. You can use this script to renew it: http://www.heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/renew
-
Use this script to change your main domain: http://www.heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/domain

The database server is up on Stevie at the moment. Did you change something recently? Check your configuration to make sure the username and password are correct, and verify that the database user is assigned in cPanel.

Can you reach your website and other services like FTP?

http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/18875-stevie-mysql-common-questions-and-problems/ See "Softaculous does not work properly". I noticed it 2 weeks ago myself when an installation vanished on me.
-
Even I haven't heard anything about repair progress in a few weeks, so I wouldn't expect a fix in the immediate future. I'm in the same boat as everyone else, frustrated by frequent downtime due to database issues. Unlike you guys though, I can't switch to a different DB like postgres or sqlite since my applications are mostly custom stuff.

Appears to be fixed.

That happens every few weeks. An admin will fix it shortly.

[Solved] Suspended: "alihost"
wolstech replied to alidoom2010's topic in Suspended and Queued Accounts
Your account was suspended for the following reason: Malware. 1 file(s). Win.Trojan.Agent-303721 FOUND That means that there are some malware files found on your account. For your safety and to protect your website from potential further corruption the account has been suspended. To find the infected files we recommend making a backup of your site, download the backup file to your computer, and scan the backup using a reputable virus and malware scanner. If you're having trouble locating the offending files please ask and we can provide more information. If you are you certain that it is a false-positive, we strongly encourage you to file a false positive form here: http://cgi.clamav.net/sendvirus.cgi Your account should be unsuspended now, but keep in mind that this is a temporary unsuspension. You have 24 hours starting at the time of this post to clean your account of any and all malicious files or your account will be resuspended. -
I somehow got myself suspended for malware...rax on Stevie. The malware was "Heuristics.Phishing.Email.SpoofedDomain"...I unsuspended myself and ran an AV scan on a backup, found nothing. Can an admin tell me what file this was for?
-
No it cannot. If you weren't the one engaging in the phishing, odds are you were hacked and the hacker put up a phishing site. It's happened before. Either way, unsuspending it would let the phisher retrieve any stolen data that might have been collected. If you weren't doing anything that might be classified as phishing, I'd recommend that you create a new account and just abandon this one. If what you were doing could be mistaken for phishing, feel free to explain, although you will probably still need to create a new account. An admin might know what got the account flagged (for example an Abuse report). If you were phishing, illegal activity is not welcome here.

You just created it yesterday, so just give it more time. Johnny accounts can take up to 5 days to become active. -
[Solved] This Is Embarrasing: Please Unsuspend Again [Ufni]
wolstech replied to heycm's topic in Escalated Requests
That's what I was thinking too...we do not condone nor allow our resources to be used to commit piracy, so it should removed if that's the case. Either way, proxies in general are a common source of high load. I'd recommend that you not run a proxy on our servers especially since there are thousands of them already in existence.
