  1. Yeah, at this point, Tommy is the only server that works reliably. Stevie and Johnny are reportedly both suffering from hard disk problems (if I had to guess, due to age seeing they've been in service for 6+ years).
  2. What server are you on? Stevie and Johnny are both down at the moment.
  3. You need to change your nameservers and add it. cPanel actually supports configuring CloudFlare's records for you now too (there's an option under the "Software" section of paper lantern). After you get it added to cPanel, go to the CloudFlare option and set it up. It takes several minutes the first time you use it. Once it loads, your domain will probably show as being set up as a "Full DNS Zone". cPanel should send updated and missing records to CF for you. After that, just make sure the records shown are correct, then change your nameservers back to CloudFlare.
  4. We're making progress on him. There's no official news yet, but Krydos did manage to get it booted off a flash drive with HE's help, and the good news is we now know the accounts appear to still be there.
  5. You'll likely get one today or tomorrow. Krydos manually sends them when he sees the notifications we received a donation. If you don't get one by tomorrow afternoon, start a new topic for your invite (be sure to include that number you posted) and I'll escalate. Also, be aware the invite goes to your paypal email address, so that's the address you need to check. Check the spam bin too, a few users reported the invite ended up there.
  6. It's worth noting that the above link will not work and the options are invisible if you use the x3 theme. If that's the case, switch to paper lantern and try again. The icon for Krydos' link shows up under the Software section IIRC.
  7. We already have a load management that does this (or supposedly do). Not sure if Krydos ever got it set up again on Johnny after the rebuild...
  8. Stevie crashed. Please see http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/26726-stevie-didnt-boot/ You can move to Johnny or Tommy as an alternative. Johnny registrations open daily at midnight UTC and fill quickly. Tommy is also available, but is by invitation only (you can donate to get one, or hope you're randomly selected ones to get a free one, odds are about 1 in 20,000 though). If you wish to change servers, please post your username and domains so they can be removed. Please note that we cannot recover account data from Stevie at this time, so you will need to use whatever backups you may have to restore your site.
  9. He's not actually crashing. He's bogging down under load like he used to, though with so few accounts, it's more likely due to DDoS or someone causing high load as opposed to overcrowding. I'm not sure if Krydos ever set up the automatic high load suspensions after he was rebuilt...the only suspensions I've seen on the new Johnny are for phishing, which we clean up all the time.
  10. Johnny no longer requires a dedicated IP address. You should just be able to install a certificate and have it work.
  11. At this time, we cannot accept donations from countries where PayPal is not supported. We are looking at offering a second service that covers most non-Paypal countries though, as you're not the first to ask.
  12. The only reasons for #1045 are either the DB is not assigned to the DB user, or the username and password are wrong. If you're sure the password is right, make sure the username is in the form scalar_dbuser (all database users will start with your account name and a _ ), and make sure the DB has been assigned to the user.
  13. Split topic. @lafl: See here: http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/26800-tommy-account-creation-failed/ for your password issue.
  14. That account has something wrong with it. The domain returns NXDOMAIN and I can't reset the password, even though it shows in the admin tools. It probably failed to create for some reason (if I had to guess, it's because the first character of the username was a number). Escalating.
  15. While I'd normally agree, with so few accounts it should be nowhere near capacity. If I had to guess, it's likely either a malfunction, a ddos attack or abuse. Looks consistently down now. Escalating.

It resets everyday at midnight UTC. Today it filled in under 10 minutes due to the number of people looking to migrate.

You can't use Johnny if they're already listed in our system as being used by a Stevie account. He's just going to rename the Stevie account and delete the DNS for your domain so you can sign up again with the same information.

Escalating to have the domains and username removed.
  19. Skrill. This was the one I was literally just looking at. Looks decent and seems to be recommended by many as a Paypal alternative. Oddly though, they say in several places that they support over 200 countries but don't seem to list which ones anywhere...can anyone find the list? Bitcoin could also work...there's the risks associated with it's value changing with the market though unless we sell it (and eat any associated fees) as soon as we get it.
  20. The server crashed: http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/26726-stevie-didnt-boot/ We got 6 years of near-flawless service from Stevie, then he up and crashed with zero warning I lost my account too...had to move to Tommy and restore a month-old backup... You need to move to Johnny or Tommy. Johnny signups open at midnight UTC daily and fill quickly (like Stevie used to). Tommy is by invite only. You can donate to get one (as little as $1 will get you one), or just hope you get one of the randomly distributed free ones. If you want to reuse your username and domain, please let us know and we can remove them for you. Also, since your forum username is the same as your hosting account username, we will need to rename your forum account if you want to reuse your username on the new server. EDIT: bdistler posted while I was writing my reply. His links are the best places to look for more details.
  21. This support request is being escalated to our root admin.
  22. I just tried resetting the cPanel password for you and the one I changed it to didn't work either :-\ Might be blocked for too many attempts... Escalating.
  23. You're welcome to sign up on Johnny, registrations open at midnight UTC every day and fill quickly. If you want to use Tommy, you can donate to get one, or hope you receive one for free at random. If you want to reuse your username and domains, please let us know so we can remove them for you. Also, be aware that if your hosting account and forum account use the same username, we will need to rename your forum account in order for you to reuse the username on Johnny.

Stevie is beyond (remote) repair, so he has to wait until a root admin can visit the server in person to fix it, likely January or February. While it's unfortunate that he failed, Stevie ran great for over 6 years before failing (a long time for any server to go without needing some form of repairs). You need to move to Johnny when his signups reset, or donate to get an invite for Tommy (if you do this, be aware that the invite will be sent to the email address used to donate). If you want to reuse your username and domains, let us know and we'll remove them for you so you can sign up on Johnny. Be aware that you will need to restore your site using whatever backups you have, since we do not have any way of retrieving data on Stevie at this time.
