Applications have to be in the form of either a WAR archive or flat JSP files. JSP can be uploaded like any other language, WAR is deployed through cPanel. JSPs don't require they be started, WARs start on their own after they deploy. If your application is in one of these formats, it might run here. We do not offer shell access of any sort, and Krydos has to provide logs by request if they're needed. Tomcat is version 8.5.24 on both servers, Java is 1.8 I believe, but not sure on the exact revision of it since I do very little with Java. Most on here typically ask about database connections using JDBC, that should work. I'm not sure if the others are supported here or not. Also, Johnny has a wait of about a month for Java access, so assuming you didn't already request it, you're looking at mid-September before you can do anything unless you want to move to Tommy (which has a wait of about 3 days). If you need something that doesn't meet the above supported program types, you need shell access, you need a different version of Java, or you need access without waiting, you'll need to buy a VPS instead. You get full root access on a VPS and can run whatever you want.

OK this is weird. I think he has and is using two accounts. He used the forum account for modapp to ask for a move for se2. Both accounts are active, and modapp is actually newly created today. @FitztianPlays: One of the two needs to be deleted since you can only have one account.

You should be using the tommy one now. Using https://heliohost.org/login/ will figure it out for you, but the direct link is https://tommy.heliohost.org:2083/

[Solved] "Suspended:_davidda
wolstech replied to davidrainzz's topic in Suspended and Queued Accounts
Odd name for a resume site... It’s banned for phishing. -
Last we were aware, our normal shared IPs are accessible in China. Is this no longer the case?
-
Unblocked. If you use https://heliohost.org/login/ you won't get blocked for invalid passwords. If you want to delete your account, use this: http://heliohost.org/classic/support/scripts/delete

Unarchived.

[Solved] Unsuspend account: tarkesh7
wolstech replied to tarkesh7's topic in Suspended and Queued Accounts
Wordpress is the number one cause of load suspensions here...I'm not surprised it got suspended. WP is a pile of junk that's infamous for this and many other issues such as getting hacked (it's just really badly written). There's no real fix other than to get rid of WordPress. There's tools that can convert your site into static HTML, or you can rebuild in something else. -
[Solved] Unsuspend account: tarkesh7
wolstech replied to tarkesh7's topic in Suspended and Queued Accounts
Your account was suspended for causing high server load. I have unsuspended your account, but please try to limit the load you put on our servers as it slows down not only your site, but the sites of all other HelioHost users sharing your server. If you still see the suspended page, please clear your cache. If you need help figuring out why your site is causing such high load let us know and we can try to help. If the high load is simply because your site is getting a lot of traffic, you might want to consider purchasing a VPS instead. https://www.heliohost.org/vps/ VPS hosting gives you an entire virtual server to yourself, including no load limits, a dedicated IP address, and full root access. -
Invite sent. The data from the old account is available at https://heliohost.org/backup/ if you need the content. I'll need the donation transaction information or a link to a previous topic in order to restore the 2GB storage. The backup system doesn't tell me much about the account (in fact, I only know you came from Tommy based on the dates on the archives, August 2019, which is when it crashed).

Please check your PMs. Yeah, the area took a beating from that storm. I personally wasn't hard hit aside from power outages, but there were tons of downed trees and other storm damage. Much of it is finally cleaned up thankfully. Power is back on pretty much everywhere, and all the major roads are open again.

Working on this now...

[Solved] Suspended due to "inactivity" - CPanel not counting?
wolstech replied to niemen's topic in Customer Service
What link are you using to log in? You need to use either https://heliohost.org/login/ or https://tommy.heliohost.org:2083/ (with nothing after the / ). Using other links, especially a cpanel link ending in .html, won't count. -
I've just been too busy to get to this. I'm also in PA and got hit by Isaias on Tuesday...between having no power until yesterday morning and the fact I have two jobs (one of which is extra busy because they sell disaster relief supplies), it'll probably be late tonight or tomorrow before I get to it. All of us are volunteer, so we do this in our free time...something I simply have had very little of since Tuesday. I've been doing what I can on my phone and my lunches until I get an hour or two to sit and just go through everything on here.

Lowercase table names are already supported. Only a root admin can restart the mysql server, and that's by design since there's thousands of people sharing it with you.

[Solved] My account is archived! Please help me.
wolstech replied to thakurg's topic in Customer Service
Unarchived. It will take a few hours for the domains to start working. -
It looks like bihourly is stalled on Johnny... All of the accounts from tonight are sitting waiting to be created. Also 1 delete and 5 renew pending and Apache has about a day on the clock since last restart.
-
To update on this, the new accounts from today have now all failed as well, and the scanner has also started malfunctioning. Apache has 36 hours since last restart too but I assume that's just a side effect of the space issue unlike last time around...
-
Try it now. (You're the second one today on Johnny that had an account listed as "active" after a renewal, but actually was still suspended. Not sure what's going on here...)
-
You need a cPanel account anyway, so get a tommy account for Node then request lily access. Lily accounts don’t count for the one account limit because they have to piggyback on a cPanel account due to how they work.

What are you seeing on the website? If it's invalid password, it's probably actually an issue with server load. The website will throw an invalid password error if it can't tell whether a password was good (usually because the server didn't respond). Unless you're trying to use one of the options on the site, just sign in directly: https://tommy.heliohost.org:2083/ (make sure there's nothing after the / when signing in). The logins still count for inactivity purposes. Please be aware that this form does not accept email addresses. Also, 2FA has been known to cause some odd issues from time to time in the past, but it usually works pretty well these days, especially if you log into Tommy directly.

The account tycoon has been removed and the domain of tycoon59 has been changed to http://tycoon.heliohost.org/ Please give it a few hours for everything to update, and if something still isn't working, please let us know.
-
The delete failing might be related to this issue: https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/40633-krydos-ricky-apache-restart-stuck/ Please check your email and reply to confirm you want the account above deleted manually and I'll remove it for you. Once I do that, I can make the domain match your old account. We cannot change the username of an account though.

Can Ricky's apache restart be checked? It's showing 2600 minutes, and at least one user has a domain from yesterday that's still queued. Scan looks stuck as well, but oddly accounts seem to be creating successfully...
