  1. Since you're OK with a new account, a Johnny invite has been sent to the email address on your forum profile.
  2. Unfortunately, since we're based in the USA, international embargoes and sanctions prohibit us from offering our services to users in the country of Iran.
  3. I'll have to let Krydos answer that, but based on the recent issues with Tommy, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Java (Tomcat's been to blame for much of the load spikes lately....)
  4. Causing high server load. 517% more memory than #2Now that's a lot of memory. Please fix whatever is causing that ASAP. If you need help identifying it, please let us know. Unsuspended.
  5. It sounds like he needs more emails, and I'm not even sure where to begin with his scenario. Every single request I can remember has been for business use or for mailing lists. He looks to just be using us for personal email hosting for a custom domain. The questions normally asked (examples, where you get email addresses, unsubscribe info, etc.) don't really apply to personal use...
  6. Spambots usually. The bots are probably trying to sign up for comments or forums, causing activation emails to be sent. Similarly, they sometimes are seen abusing a contact form, etc. Botproofing these features, or just turning them off if you don't need them, will help with this. If you run something like Wordpress, it's possible that it got hacked. Hacked WP is a common cause of this here. The hackers who hit WP usually set up either a spambot or a phishing site. The best solution for hacked Wordpress, is to not use Wordpress. It's infamous for terrible security.
  7. This finally finished. Please clear your browser and DNS cache.
  8. Perhaps make Tommy donation-only for a while? That'd cut down on new account load without sacrificing users who already use our other servers and want to move for better performance. Some other ideas: Make domains take up to an hour to activate. It's not instant, but still better than Ricky and Johnny at up to two hours.Reduce the number of Java slots Tommy has.Speaking of Java, with Sparkie around, have we considered building a Java-only server? That'd stop Java load from impact normal PHP users while still letting us offer it. Also, several users have wanted more than one Java app deployed. Perhaps we could offer 1 app for free, and $1/month per app afterwards?Turn off metrics processing for some or all of the metrics apps.(Very extreme solution...) Swap Johnny and Tommy (i.e. put Tommy on Sparkie and Johnny on Eddie).
  9. Notepad++ can do it I believe. There should be an option for line endings or file format. On an iPad at the moment so can't check... If you are using Linux, you can do it in vim, command :set ff=unix will change the file format to Unix line endings.
  10. The cgi-bin folder showing a forbidden message is normal unless you have an index file or specify a file name. The scripts themselves seem to be broken. I switched startdiscord.py back to 3.7 and added a "script start" debug message to http://alpriven.heliohost.org/cgi-bin/startdiscord.py and it shows, so the server is running the script when triggered. Also, be aware the stuff in the bots folder still has dos line endings...
  11. It's basically a virtual PC. It comes with a bare OS installation and you install whatever you want. We have people using a VPS to run Tomcat apps, game servers, regular websites, email servers, etc. If you need help getting that installed, Krydos can assist with getting it running for you.
  12. Not sure if Krydos can get logs on this or not. As for 50 emails, pooks answered that. It can be 1 message to 50 people, 50 emails each to 1 person, or any combination. Doesn't matter how it's sent, once 50 people receive something, number 51 gets you suspended. We used to do 50 emails (with unlimited recipients), but phishers started sending 50 emails to 100 people each to make sure their phishing got out, so we started counting recipients instead of actual messages.
  13. It was for failed imap logins. Please check your mail client. Unblocked.
  14. You're suspended for sending too many emails. Please keep your email use under the limit of 50 recipients per day. Unsuspended.
  15. You're suspended for sending too many emails. The limit is 50 per day. Unsuspended.
  16. Ns2 is down at the moment. http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/
  17. No problem. The .br domains are a known issue due to the .br TLD not following industry standard practices used by nearly every other domain TLD out there. As a result, DNS issues with these domains are common.
  18. The settings are still not correct. Make sure you actually set custom DNS servers, and allow several hours for the settings to take effect. We see this: https://bybyron.net/php/tools/dns_records.php?domain=phabricademoda.com.br&rec=NS A correctly configured domain will have records similar to these: https://bybyron.net/php/tools/dns_records.php?domain=raxsoft.com&rec=NS
  19. Unblocked. Also, if you use https://heliohost.org/login/ this won't happen.
  20. He can change his email address without starting over. There's an option for contact information in cpanel to update it.
  21. You should've gotten an email with a link to create your replacement account. Did you not receive it? The Ricky account will be left alone since it's not yours.
  22. PhpPgAdmin is the data manager for Postgres. There should be an option for it cpanel. https://ricky.heliohost.org:2083/3rdparty/phpPgAdmin/index.php Postgres is quite clunky in my opinion, but it does work. Most people just create the database and user, then install software that populates the DB as part of the installation process.
  23. You can always buy a VPS. https://heliohost.org/vps/ You get full root access on a VPS so you can run whatever you want. For one app, the cheapest option will do. Proc_open is annoying. I have a few apps that I had to put elsewhere for the same reason.
