  1. I've added that domain to your account for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for your new domain to fully work. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/Clear_Your_Cache In the meantime, please make sure you configure DNS for the new domain. You can either: 1) Set NS records pointed to the HelioHost nameservers: `ns1.heliohost.org` and `ns2.heliohost.org`, or 2) Manually create DNS records: a) Add an A record (IPv4) pointing to your server's IPv4 address b) Add an AAAA record (IPv6) pointing to your server's IPv6 address To find the correct IPs, please go to: Login > Plesk > Websites & Domains > [domain name] > and check at the bottom of the page.
  2. I've removed that domain and its subdomains from your account. Please note there is a risk of data loss when domains and subdomains are removed, since the folders for them inside Plesk will be deleted. I made a full account backup for you before I removed them, in case you need any of the old files. You can download the backup here: https://heliohost.org/backup If you're not sure how to extract the backup files, please follow our how-to guide here: https://wiki.helionet.org/Account_Backups
  3. Great news! Thanks for coming back to post that it worked, I am sure it will help other users who have the same problem who search the forum and find this thread. 🙂
  4. Sorry you're having trouble. While I cannot see any of their payment info, I can confirm we do have users from Nepal on the Tommy donor server, so it may be that you would need to try a different card. On this page https://heliohost.org/donate/ we have a "Fundraiser Info" button that will allow you to donate towards the 20th Anniversary Rebirth of Stevie Fundraiser, and the payment processer for the fundraiser is different than the one for the yellow PayPal button we've always had on there. I've just tested the Fundraiser Info button (it allows for a custom amount but the minimum is USD $3) and it will take cards or payment by bank transfer. Most of our current users in Nepal joined us before the fundraiser started last month, so they'd have used the yellow PayPal button. If you planned to donate USD $3 or more anyway, you might want to try the Fundraiser Info button since that uses a different payment processor, and let us know if you have better luck. If you're trying to donate USD $1 for a Tommy invite and using the yellow PayPal button, it sounds like you might need to speak to the bank that issued your card and let them know what error message you are getting to see if there is anything they can help with, or try a different card. I'm not sure if the USD $3 minimum amount on the Fundraiser Info method is something that can be changed. I didn't know there was a minimum before I tested it just now, so I've mentioned it in the staff channel and we can look into it. Edited to add: After checking in the staff channel, if you're trying to get a Tommy invite, a root admin can make a link to pay with Stripe and see if that works for you. Please let us know!
  5. I'm guessing you want Hestia since this seems to be the most popular control panel that folks ask for. I've escalated this thread to the attention of Krydos who can install that for you. Next time, if you have trouble with SSH or anything else, please could you give us more details about the problem. Things like: 1) what are you trying to do 2) what did you expect to happen 3) what actually happened 4) what else you tried to fix the issue 5) what error message you are getting. The more details you give us about the problem, the quicker we can give you accurate help.
  6. You're very welcome! 🙂
  7. Sorry to hear that didn't solve things. I've tested SSL on my own Tommy account and got no errors, so I'll escalate this thread to our root admins who can dig into this a little more for you.
  8. 9. The Bad Gateway error probably happened because Apache was restarting when you visited your site. It restarts every 2 hours: https://wiki.helionet.org/502_Bad_Gateway I have the same issues connecting to my Tommy account, using tommy.heliohost.org as the hostname, and reported it in the staff channel and we'll be looking into it further. Usually, using tommy.heliohost.org as the hostname is the right way to connect. But while this issue is happening, you can try a workaround and use the IPv4 address as hostname instead. We try not to post our server IP addresses publicly on the forum for security reasons, but here's how to find the IP address to use: Login > Plesk > Websites & Domains > [domain name] > and check at the bottom of the page You will see something similar to: IP address ##.##.###.##(v4), and then also the IPv6 IP that we don't need to worry about for now. Copy the IPv4 address (but not the "(v4)" part, just the numbers before it), and paste that into your FileZilla where you have the Host as tommy.heliohost.org That should allow you to connect over FTP in the meantime, but please let us know if you still have trouble. Also, I think you have a really excellent approach to troubleshooting, definitely more details are always better, and it's always good to recognize when a problem might be similar enough to something you've solved before, to at least have an idea of where to start tackling it! Repetition helps me retain what I've learned too. I still have to look loads of things up, but googling for answers feels faster the 2nd, 3rd, or even 7th time I have to do it. 😄
  10. Please try the steps to fix this provided here and let us know if you still have trouble: https://wiki.helionet.org/SSL_Certificate_Problems
  11. I've reset your account as requested. You should receive an email shortly so you can take the next steps to recreate it. I made a backup before the reset, so if you discover you need any of your old files, you can download the backup here: https://heliohost.org/backup If you're not sure how to extract the backup files, please follow our how-to guide here: https://wiki.helionet.org/Account_Backups When you are recreating the account, you will be able to select a main domain. If you also want that 2nd domain re-added, please request this once you have recreated the account and we can add it on there for you. 🙂
  12. I've changed the main domain on your account for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for your new domain to fully work. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/Clear_Your_Cache Please note there is a risk of data loss when main domains are changed, so I made a full backup for you before I made the changes, in case you need any files from the old domain. You can download the backup here: https://heliohost.org/backup If you're not sure how to extract the backup files, please follow our how-to guide here: https://wiki.helionet.org/Account_Backups
  13. I've removed that domain from your account. Please note there is a risk of data loss when domains are removed, since the folder for the domain inside Plesk will be deleted. 14. This support request is being escalated to our root admins.
  15. Do you want ojplanet.helioho.st or ojplanet.heliohost.us or something else ending with either helioho.st or heliohost.us? Once you let us know the full domain you want, we can make the changes for you. I've also moved your request to the correct support section: HelioHost > Customer Service Your original post was in General Discussion > Website Management and Coding which is great for general discussion about website management and coding, but if you post support requests in there, they could accidentally be missed.
  16. This is your 3rd suspension for high server load within the last 3 months, so this support request is being escalated to our root admins for their consideration.
  17. But you DO have your own site, and you're doing great! No one is born knowing anything about how to do any of this. 😄 The fact that you've pushed yourself to do something you don't 100% have all the knowledge on yet is worth celebrating, because not everyone would even have the courage to try. An IPv4 address is the type you probably think of when someone mentions an IP address, they look like 192.168.1.1. Every IP address has to be unique, so we can only have about 4.3 billion of them before running out of numbers. It feels like 4.3 billion should be enough, but when you consider that every smartphone, computer, internet router, smart TV, etc. has its own IP address, eventually we'll run out of them. IPv6 addresses look like 2001:0db8:85a3::8a2e:0370:7334 and we can have trillions of them so it's very unlikely we'll ever run out. They're also better than IPv4 in other ways, but they're not used everywhere yet, which is why we can use both to connect to the Tommy server, for example. There's a lot more information on the different kinds of IPs that become important if you get more into computer networking and security. Personally I enjoyed learning the extra details, but I think if you can tell the difference between an IPv4 and an IPv6 just by looking at the different ways the numbers are written, you're probably further ahead than most people on the internet. Your support request post is also a perfect example of the right way to ask for help. You gave us all the details about what you tried and the error messages you got, AND you checked the server status page before posting?! Most people don't know how to do all that! You're probably a lot more technically skilled than you might give yourself credit for, so keep doing what you're doing! 🙂
  18. I've changed the main domain on your account for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for your new domain to fully work. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/Clear_Your_Cache In the meantime, please make sure you configure DNS for the new domain. Please note there is a risk of data loss when main domains are changed. Even though your account is quite new, we try to make backups before changing main domains, so I did one in this case too. In case you already uploaded any files for the old domain and find you need them again, you can download the backup here: https://heliohost.org/backup If you're not sure how to extract the backup files, please follow our how-to guide here: https://wiki.helionet.org/Account_Backups
  19. This support request is being escalated to our root admins who can verify the PayPal donation and assist you further.
  20. The donation has now been confirmed. You should receive an email confirming the thank you gift, and see the increased storage on your account the next time you login. Thanks for your donation. 🙂 Some more details for other folks who may see this post: No other action is needed from donors once the donation is sent. Personally I think it's been lovely to read all the messages of support, so if you want to post a note on the forum saying you donated, we love to see it ❤️ but it's not required to do so in order for a donation to be processed. Once the donation is sent, the details are captured in the Donorbox system until they are confirmed. This usually happens within a couple of days after sending the donation. Once the donation has been verified, the extra storage is added to the account and/or the Java/JSP waitlist is updated, and an email is sent out to the donor confirming what's been done.
  21. I've removed kalydna-invest from your account. Please note there is a risk of data loss when domains are removed, since the folder for the domain inside Plesk will be deleted. I made a full account backup for you before I removed the domain, in case you need any of the old files. You can download the backup here: https://heliohost.org/backup If you're not sure how to extract the backup files, please follow our how-to guide here: https://wiki.helionet.org/Account_Backups I've also added the overthinkers domain, please note that it may take up to 2 hours for your new domain to fully work. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/Clear_Your_Cache In the meantime, please make sure you configure DNS for the new domain. 23. Google Translate: Hi, I would like a new domain please. Please do not post multiple requests for the same thing. All staff are volunteers, and posting repeated requests for the same thing is spammy and not respectful of the free time we spend helping users out. Your request for a new domain has already been received under this thread, please see here for further updates: https://helionet.org/index/topic/63517-new-domain/ Closing this thread as a Duplicate.
  24. There is no hosting account associated with your forum account. Please provide your hosting account username so we can look up your account to add the domain. Alternatively, please post your request from the forum account linked to your hosting account. The way we can associate forum users to their respective hosting accounts is because the forum and hosting account will have the same email address attached. Thanks.
