Reason: Causing high server load. 218% more cpu than #2. You're suspended for severe high server load. Let's see if Krydos can find out wha caused it. We'd prefer you know how to fix it before we unsuspend you so you don't cause this sort of load again.

[Solved] Suspended: hh_ayogilik
wolstech replied to ayogilik's topic in Suspended and Queued Accounts
Well, it is suspended for high load, but it doesn't really matter at this point since the server you're on died. https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/32759-johnny-backups/ You won't be able to make a backup yourself at this point. You'll likely need to until we make and offer them instead. In the meantime, feel free to sign up on Ricky or Tommy when registrations are open if you wish. -

No problem. Let us know if you need anything else -
Just watch in the News forum. When they become available, they'll be announced. All I know is that the archived accounts were backed up yesterday, not sure whether /home/ was already done or not.

[Solved] Cloudflare Error 502 for specific files
wolstech replied to piltonca's topic in Customer Service
Whitelisting them means accepting the abuse instead, which would lead to more compromised accounts. The whole reason the IP blocks exist is to prevent someone from easily sitting there and guessing passwords. You'd need a large botnet to overcome it (so you have all the public IPs of the bots at your disposal, with each bot having 5 tries). If you have a botnet, you're probably DDoSing instead of breaking into servers anyway. If we whitelisted a ton of IPs that anyone can easily use, we've defeated the purpose of our own protection. Besides, contrary to what many think, CF is not just for security...they also offer platforms for running applications like Amazon and Google do. -

They unblock themselves over time by falling off the bottom of the block list (there's a max number of blocks that can exist at one time), but that can take a week or two typically. Considering Tommy is stable, I'd personally recommend just not using CF if this is a concern. -
I think we did have it on one of our servers at one point in the past, but it tends to cause a lot of load and will almost certainly get you suspended for high load because it uses a ton of resources. I wouldn't recommend it, but if you really want to, I can ask whether this can be installed.

[Solved] Cloudflare Error 502 for specific files
wolstech replied to piltonca's topic in Customer Service
The usual cause of this is cybercriminals running bots through CF to break into servers. It's not something you did, but rather the fact that your connections to our server appear as a CloudFlare IP. which you share with thousands of other people (some of which are abusing it). -
Your account was suspended for inactivity, because you haven't logged into your account in the last 30 days. I've unsuspended it for you this time, but in the future, to reactivate your account, please visit http://www.heliohost.org/renew. To prevent this from happening in the future please remember to visit https://heliohost.org/ to log into your account at least once every 30 days. If you are still seeing the Account Suspended page after renewing your account, please clear your cache.

It's fully automated. The estimate I have right now says 5/5/18 (tomorrow) though the estimate tends to be longer than it actually takes. We cannot speed up a Java request in the queue because others are also waiting and you'd essentially be cutting in line.

His load is really high right now. http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/ No idea why though...lets see if Krydos can figure out why.

[Solved] Cloudflare Error 502 for specific files
wolstech replied to piltonca's topic in Customer Service
I just did some digging...the CF data centers in the UK and Germany were blocked for abuse, which would explain why it works for me but not you (I'm in the USA). All the blocks are for failed cPanel and mail logins (typical for abuse trying to guess passwords). I've unblocked all the IPs associated with these data centers -
At this point, we're just backing the data up so we can rebuild it. The file system was corrupt and it kept crashing. The past few times we lost a server like this (incidentally, all of the past 3 major failures were Johnny...this is Johnny's third death) the user data became available as a backup file for download, but I don't have any idea when that will be. For now you'll just need to wait. More information is available here: https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/32759-johnny-backups/

[Solved] how to set up my ruby file in helionet free host?

The server crashed. See https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/32759-johnny-backups/ -
There likely will be eventually, but not at this time. Usually we end up offering a tool that emails you a link to an account backup.

I'd give it at least a few weeks if we rebuild it (accounting for testing time, etc.), less if we somehow magically managed to fix the file system and retain the old Johnny. Account backups will likely be made available if we rebuild, but I don't know much as I'm not the one doing the repairs (Krydos is the expert on the linux servers).

WAR deployment is done from cPanel on Tommy. Check under the Software section for the Java options.

Paypal will do (https://www.heliohost.org/donate/). Post the transaction ID (and an email address to send the invite to if your paypal address is used by that Johnny account), and I'll get the invite sent so you can get back to work.

Right now, nothing. The server died. See https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/32759-johnny-backups/ I'd say odds are good we'll end up making backups for people at a later date, considering Johnny won't stay running long enough for most to back up. On the bright side, we didn't lose the InnoDB data this time around. Johnny has always been known for his lack of stability due to the unlimited accounts we allowed, and unfortunately that poor stability and the related crashes have finally damaged the file system to the point where it won't stay running. It needs to be rebuilt. For reference, this is the third time Johnny has died. The prior two losses were back-to-back disk failures. In contrast, Stevie (Ricky) has died only once (also disks), and Tommy has never died (though we did have to discard his archives because a disk went bad). We operate at a rather significant loss most months as it is, so we can't afford to get more servers, which is why we have to hold fundraisers for things like the NAS and overwork the servers we have to offer what we do. If you want, you can sign up on Ricky or Tommy when they open (be sure to use a different domain/email/username since they're still attached to the Johnny account for the time being). Tommy has the newest and most stable hardware, but is also very difficult to get an account on because everyone wants to use him. You can donate $1 to get an account easily if you want, and it'd be especially appreciated right now since Johnny is what brings us much of our ad revenue, but it's not required as a few accounts are offered for free at midnight.

Your account cannot be unarchived at this time because Johnny crashed. https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/32759-johnny-backups/ (You won't be able to make a backup since the account is archived, though it may be possible for me to send you the archive itself, which is identical to a full backup, I'll look into whether this can be retrieved since it's actually stored on Cody, or if you wish, you can donate and I'll restore your archived account on Tommy instead).

@subodhc: Make the backup when it's up. Johnny comes up for a few hours here and there, so you can make a backup if you catch him while he's online. http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/ @mover: No data loss (yet anyway). We even managed to get innodb to back up...
