  1. It does when he can't even install the certificates on our end so Chrome sees them. He has a self-signed cert by default, and every browser in existence will squawk at that. Chrome will show a privacy warning, then if ignored, leaves an HTTPS in the bar that's crossed out in red because the cert is bad. The secure/not secure/green https/etc. is a different thing altogether in chrome, and is specific to chrome. Other browsers don't do that.
  2. That's the thing, we can't tell you because we don't have any idea either...if we did, we'd have gotten it installed for you. Odds are it's just our server is broken though. Johnny has a ton of issues with involved processes like installing ssl or creating new domains. That's why he recommended trying Ricky, which doesn't have these sorts of issues.
  3. I had the same problem when implementing something for heliomine, and I don't even have asp.net on my account. I ended up just changing the extensions and making the program rename them. I'd love to see a proper solution to this though. Moving.
  4. You can use https://johnny.heliohost.org:2083/ to log in directly if our site won't work. Our website likes to time out a lot when signing into Johnny accounts. Those timeouts show up as the invalid logins you see.
  5. Usually that not secure error is a result of not waiting long enough (it takes up to 12 hours for Johnny to refresh and recognize SSL certs after installation), but considering you said it's been 2 days...I'm not sure what's up here. The fact you see a different site if you ignore the security warning is kind of odd...usually you get the same site with an invalid (usually self-signed) certificate. I'll let Krydos look at this further. Please note though that SSL barely works on Johnny, and it's known for being troublesome. You have to play with it until you get it working. I'd recommend moving to Ricky or Tommy if you can, they actually work reliably with SSL. Also, those servers don't even require you install a certificate for SSL since cPanel automatically gets one for you and renews it when it expires.
  6. Done. You should now be able to log in and your website should start working within 12 hours.
  7. @helio607: Please create your own topic for your issue in the future. I've done it for you this time: https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/31806-archived-helio607/
  8. Yeah, you're supposed to log in before that happens. Unarchiving...
  9. Krydos edited his post... We found it. It was in the regular donations. We can count that for extra storage for you
  10. You have to use plain ftp on port 21 for those extra accounts to work. It can't be FTP over TLS or SFTP, has to be plain unencrypted FTP. The default account is just your cpanel username and password. Hostname is Johnny.heliohost.org. Port is 1373 for SFTP (which is supported only for this default account), or 21 with plain unencrypted FTP. Unblocked.
  11. Krydos can confirm, but anyone who donated through GoFundMe's website prior to the announcement (and possibly even after, since you can still donate to the GoFundMe as of this post) will be counted I believe.
  12. TIL...I've never been able to get that function to work on Johnny. Maybe it's because I use SFTP (does that work with the extra accounts?) on Johnny. Does it require plain FTP to work? I use FTP over TLS on Tommy and Ricky so I don't have to fix the permissions after upload, but we all know that FTPS doesn't like to work on Johnny.
  13. Also, for reference, here's a good view of what our server performance looks like: http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/ You can see why Johnny isn't the best thing in the world...
  14. $1 or more will get you a Tommy account within 24 hours (an email will get sent to your paypal/skrill email address with a link to create it). You can donate here: https://heliohost.org/donate/ If you donate with crypto, please post on the forums with the txid, type, and number of coins sent. Or, if you donate $5 or more to our current fundraiser on GoFundMe, you get the Tommy account now, and an extra GB of space in a few months once the equipment is installed.
  15. Hm...seeing the same thing...lets see if Krydos can find this for you.
  16. Johnny is an experimental server and is not meant for users needing fast or reliable service. Johnny is severely overloaded due to us allowing unlimited accounts, and your experience with Johnny is normal. If you need something reliable, you need to pick one of our limited signup servers. Ricky is your best bet right now since we offer free accounts for that server. The registration opens every day at midnight UTC, and fills quickly. New accounts per day are limited to help keep him running fast. Tommy is also an option, but a donation is required for that server at the moment because it's almost out of disk space.
  17. That's odd. You're definitely not blocked on our end. These usually take up to 10 minutes to unblock though, so it's possible you tried too quickly. Can you try again?
  18. You changed your main domain, which deleted the domain abgcrp.heliohost.org. You don't have that domain anymore, which is why it produces an error. Whatever software you have installed is misconfigured and forcing a redirect to the now non-existent abgcrp.heliohost.org domain. I renamed your index.php to index.phx so it's ignored, and your domain is now working and showing a directory listing. You need to reinstall or reconfigure your software.
  19. There isn't one by default (I just checked, none of my cgi-bin folders have one). You should be able to just delete it. Python 2.7 should be available on all of our servers, but Python 2.7 with Django requires Ricky.
  20. @Byron: Are you having trouble finding these transaction IDs like me? I do a search in activity and none of them ever seem to come up...
  21. @miwilc: There's likely going to be a cPanel server in front of/alongside this, so Python will already be available. The IIS implementation is likely going to act similar to how a Java WAR does...Apache will proxy another web server. I'm looking into the RoR because Johnny's RoR sucks due to his performance (and it's also what's keeping us from updating that server). The DB offering is because the thing has 32GB of RAM in it and it'd be a waste to not use it
  22. Not right now it's not He ran low on disk space so we had to restrict it to donations only to avoid him running completely out. We're actually holding a fundraiser for additional disk space and a new server right now: https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/31373-fundraiser-for-new-server/ Once we get that equipment, we'll be able to offer free Tommy accounts again, along with a few new things like Windows-based ASP.NET hosting. If you donate to the fundraiser ($5 and up), I can give you a Tommy account now with the usual 1GB space, and we'll also give you a disk space upgrade to 2GB once we get the new hardware installed (it may be a few months for that since we have to wait until the owner can travel across the country to the data center to install it). You can post in the topic above if you have additional questions about the fundraiser.
  23. It was for failed SFTP logins. Someone probably saved the wrong password in an FTP client somewhere. Check that you're using the correct password and if you can, disable the auto-retry option in your FTP client. Unblocked
  24. The server was likely still working through its backlog from being stopped for the past day. Your account seems to be working now though. If it still shows queued for you after clearing your cache again, try another browser and internet connection (e.g, a cell phone on its data plan).
  25. Unblocked again. This time it was for failed cpanel logins. Use https://heliohost.org/login to avoid that. Please be advised that if you're on Johnny, the "additional accounts" options for ftp, webdisk, and similar features don't work properly. They've been broken since the server was built. The only supported way to upload files is SFTP or plain unencrypted ftp using your cpanel username and password, or the web based file manager tool. Other options may work, but will not be reliable if they do.
