I didn't accidently delete anything. If people don't log on at least once every 30 days then their accounts get deleted. It's pretty simple.

Did you check the suspension note before you unsuspended it?

Severe Load And Mysql Time Out Occurring On Stevie
Krydos replied to n30n's topic in Customer Service
I suspended a couple accounts that were causing a lot of load on mysql and the server monitor indicates that everything is returning to normal now. The swap usage does seem rather high, but maybe that will drop with time too. -
Did you wait 24 hours after you added that subdomain?
-
If you want a dedicated ip address pay $12 to admin@heliohost.org paypal account. Once you have done that make a post here lettings us know the payment has been made and we will give you a dedicated ip address.
-
Which looks suspiciously like what I said all along. Interesting that the auto-config thing doesn't work though.
-
These settings should work for you. Remember your account is limited to 2 cron jobs per day.
-
What is your reason for wanting an account on both servers?
-
Is the error still occuring?
-
What server are you on? What is your username, because HelioUserName doesn't exist and I'm guessing you edited it out for security? If the answer to the first question is stevie, then that error is probably because a user was maliciously abusing mysql to cause high load and errors. That account has been suspended and the load and mysql connections should return to normal.

Heliohost Has Encountered An Error During Installation
Krydos replied to mahai's topic in Customer Service
themmc and themmc2 both are partially created, but neither are located in the database. Likewise with mahai and mahai81. @xaav, this is the same issue I posted in moderator forum, but they aren't actually being deleted fully like I originally thought, they are just being deleted from the database. -
Heliohost Has Encountered An Error During Installation
Krydos replied to mahai's topic in Customer Service
What server have you been trying to create those accounts on? -
A parked domain is just another name to get people to your public_html directory. If you give someone the address whatever.heliohost.org that is what they will see in the browser url bar. If you give people the whatever.com address that is what they will see in the bar. If all you give out publically is the whatever.com there is no way for a regular site visitor to find the whatever.heliohost.org. An addon domain is basically a shortcut to get to folders within your public_html directory. Say you own whatever.com and shortcut.com, then whatever.com/shortcut.com/index.html would show the same content as shortcut.com/index.html, but like above if all you gave out was the shortcut.com address no one would be able to find the root directory. Byron is sort of right. If you have subdomain.whatever.heliohost.org set up already then it probably resides within the directory subdomain, so when you park whatever.com you can reach the subdomain by going to whatever.com/subdomain, but subdomain.whatever.com won't work unless you go to the sub domain button in cpanel and link that C name to that directory. Hope that makes it a little clearer. Parked/addon domains are really the best way to go, but some people insist on changing their main domain so we have that tool, but honestly it's pointless in most situations.

I haven't actually looked this up to verify it, but I seem to remember something about crappy windows servers requiring "Name" <email@address.com> type format.

My bad, didn't realize that posting the survey here would close it; it's not like I wrote the multi-moderation. Ok, I have edited the multi-moderations so the customer service type forums have a multi-moderation called 'Problem Solved' that closes the topics, and the rest of the forums have a multi-moderation called 'Question Answered' that leaves them open. Good? Good.

Glad your problem got solved! Please spare a few minutes to take our brief survey: http://feedback.heliohost.org/ Your participation in this survey is greatly appreciated.

Both ns1 and ns2 are reporting the same information now and hprobotics.co.cc is working now.

Stevie Is Not Working. Should I Switch?
Krydos replied to njaohnt's topic in Technology and the Internet
White actually (usually) means that the server monitor itself was down. -
It's not completely taken care of if you look at my dig above. ns1.heliohost.org is still returning the ip of his old johnny account.
-
The DNS sync didn't seem to correct it either, and since cody is the nameserver that is correct at the moment, and stevie is the one that is wrong I suspect the incorrect information will overwrite the correct eventually. Incorrect: From ns1.heliohost.org: ;; QUESTION SECTION (1 record) ;; ;hprobotics.co.cc. You're going to have to be a little more specific. What server are you on? What is your username? What is the domain that isn't working? When did you park it? When did you set the nameservers? Is the problem still occuring? Anything else that might help us troubleshoot this issue?
-
There is no record for hprobotics.co.cc on either stevie or cody. There is this though zone "maths222.heliohost.org" { type master; file "/var/named/maths222.heliohost.org.db"; }; Dig for hprobotics.co.cc on ns1 shows the old johnny ip address still, and ns2 has nothing or just corrupted information. Ok, I've got it half fixed now. hprobotics.co.cc shows up right in ns2, but the old johnny ip is still coming from ns1. Sync should fix this now completely.

No account exists by that name.
