I set up a Windows Server 2016 for a guy, and I think he found a license for around $30 since it's such an old operating system. It seemed like a pretty sketchy website that sold it to him, and I definitely wouldn't have given them any money personally, but I haven't heard back from him yet so I guess it was a real license. I don't think there are any legitimate discount sites for WS 2019. Also the evaluation period for WS 2016 and WS 2019 is 180 days not 120. After the evaluation period ends your VPS just powers itself off automatically every hour or so. I suppose you could back up everything, install a new evaluation, restore your backups, and get another 180 days. It would be kind of hassle though. The other thing to keep in mind is Windows Server takes a LOT more memory than Linux, so to get the same website performance as a 1 GB memory Linux VPS you would need a 4 GB memory Windows VPS like the Earth plan you mentioned. Windows Server also tends to read and write from the disk a lot more than Linux so that slows it down too. All of that said though, you're welcome to take it for a spin, and if you don't like it for any reason we can switch you to Linux for free or figure something else out. To answer your question directly, a Windows Server 2019 180 day evaluation Earth VPS would be $15 per month for 4 GB memory, 4 CPUs, and 200 GB storage.

[Solved] Mars VPS does not support AVX2 CPU instructions
Krydos replied to Mahani's topic in Escalated Requests
Yeah, none of our servers have a CPU that will support AVX2. Your VPS is on Lucie now, but even if we moved you to Sparkie it wouldn't change anything. -

Thanks for the donation. The reason it didn't show up automatically was because your paypal email address has +paypal added to it. There you go https://www.heliohost.org/eta/?u=jbbdude

We don't have a mailing list set up for when our servers become available, but we will post to Facebook and Twitter with news about our progress so we've been recommending that people follow us there if they want to know when free hosting is available again. Another option is you could donate as little as $1 to reserve a space on Tommy. If you take a look at this link you can see what position various donation amounts will get you https://www.heliohost.org/eta/?u=rli We have about 5,000 accounts to move to Plesk still and donating even just $1 will move you to position #553 which will get you a functional account much sooner. If you're on this ETA list you will get an email when your account is available to log in to. Regarding Morty, he's still a ways off, but that server will require a minimum of $1 per month subscription to maintain an account. Tommy is a one time donation of $1+ to be #553, or you can wait for all 5,000 accounts to be moved and hope to be fast enough to get a free Tommy account. Free Tommy accounts go quickly though. Usually within 10 seconds. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Sometimes it takes a few hours for paypal's end to go through, and that page says something went wrong because the payment hasn't finished processing yet. The payment has gone through now and your VPS is good until 2022-08-16. Thanks.

Ok, you can pay with this link to start your 6 month subscription on your existing VPS https://www.heliohost.org/vps/pay/?code=64plPwgSflv6kQcl

[HH#312667] Add more RAM to vps39 dont build new vps
Krydos replied to HelioHost's topic in Email Support
This was already discussed on Discord, but it's not possible to reduce storage on a VPS without reinstalling the operating system. -

TXT codes aren't private. Anyone can query a DNS server and see all the TXT records. For an example just run this command dig +short TXT @ns1.heliohost.org heliohost.org

When Yash said "VPN" he actually meant "VPS". We don't offer VPN service directly, but you can install VPN software on your VPS if you want to.

Alright, go to https://paypal.me/heliohost and click Send, log in to your paypal account, and type in $94.50. Once the money is sent let us know by replying to this email and we'll build the VPS for you and send you the instructions on how to login. Let us know if you have any problems with the above.

If you want to purchase 6 months of VPS service up front we could set you up with a one time payment instead of a subscription to see if that payment will go through. You get 10% discount when you sign up for 6 months as well. If so let me know which VPS plan you want (Mercury, Mars, etc) or if you have a custom VPS configuration you want to buy. We can't do month to month plans without a subscription, but 6 months can be done without a subscription. The other option is you could try a different card or contact paypal to see if they know why that card isn't available for subscriptions.

The last time you logged in was 2021-05-10 so your account was archived before our licenses were even revoked. You can download your backup from https://www.heliohost.org/backup/ Archived accounts won't automatically be transferred to Plesk. That's why your account isn't listed on the ETA page. You can download your backup, create a new account once Plesk is ready, and then restore your backup to your new account. If you're interested in recreating your account sooner it is possible to donate to get an earlier invite to create an account. You can get an idea of what each donation level will get you by looking at this user's ETA https://www.heliohost.org/eta/?u=rli The reason the ETA page doesn't list archived or suspended accounts is because they will not be transferred to Plesk automatically so there is no ETA for them. I have periodic database backups that I reference for these old accounts to find out what happened to them after they are deleted from the main database. For some reason the cliffm account wasn't added to the backup system, but I managed to find a copy of the archive hiding somewhere and added it manually. DM me on Discord if you want to know where the database backups are located and how to search them, otherwise you can just escalate things like this to me. I did notice that the ETA page doesn't handle non-existent accounts very well. I'll take a look at the code.
