[Solved] Error when running nodejs application
Luigi123 replied to closer1's topic in Escalated Requests
The first time your node application is accessed it will take a little longer to load, but it will cache the website and subsequent visits will load much faster. After some time has passed without any page views your node application will automatically uncache itself to reduce load and memory usage on the server. If you make changes to your application, and find that the changes aren't appearing when you view the page in your browser it is because an older version of your site is cached. You can force your node application to restart and load any changes by doing the following: Create a /tmp directory inside your node application directory. /home/username/node/tmp Inside that /tmp directory create a file named restart.txt. Now refresh your browser and the changes should show up. Here’s another note from this site that I just found earlier when I did some dig on Google: https://airbrake.io/blog/http-errors/304-not-modified @Heliohost Teams: delete this if I get it wrong, I’m learning new things. -
[Solved] Creating a RESTful API for PostgreSQL database
Luigi123 replied to mtarsa's topic in Escalated Requests
I don’t it’s possible to do that on the shared host as it would require additional source code to be built. You will consider need a VPS if you really need that. I’ll escalated to our root admin Krydos to see if it’s possible to do it on the shared host. Eventually he’ll say the same what I said. Escalating -
[Solved] Privacy Error Potential Security Risk
Luigi123 replied to trvricks's topic in Customer Service
You need to install the SSL Certificate and wait up to 12 hours for it to work. This is the recommended for Johnny: http://wiki.helionet.org/Installing_a_Let%27s_Encrypt_SSL_Certificate Johnny doesn’t do auto SSL, only the other two servers of Tommy and Ricky do support. -

If you are talking about the email accounts inside the cPanel but using those domains that you listed and you wanna use the same email accounts on your new account, I think you can do it as long there’s no existing error message showing up then you will be fine. If it says it, let us know or if you want, create a different email addresses.

Johnny is a slowest sever and pretty much he has been running really slow for all year! If you need a better performance server, get Tommy server. Keep in mind that the next Tommy's signup button reset is not until at midnight and you have to be quick enough before it gets filled fast during the day. If you don't want to wait in line or you can’t stay up at midnight, you can consider making a donation of minimum $1.00 by visiting this link: https://www.heliohost.org/tommy/ to skip the line. An invitation link will be sent via in your email to registered. Please deleted your johnny account first by visiting this link: http://www.heliohost.org/classic/support/scripts/delete. Users are only allowed to have ONE account.

Done. You should be able to login now and your site is working too. Please clear your cache if you see the suspended page.
-
Please take a moment while the system process to have your account unsuspended. It’s really slow today, but I’ll let you know about it.
-
Your account was suspended for causing high server load.I have unsuspended your account, but please try to limit the load you put on our servers as it slows down not only your site, but the sites of all other HelioHost users sharing your server. If you still see the suspended page, please clear your cache. If you need help figuring out why your site is causing such high load let us know and we can try to help. If the high load is simply because your site is getting a lot of traffic, you might want to consider purchasing a VPS instead. https://www.heliohost.org/vps/ VPS hosting gives you an entire virtual server to yourself, including no load limits, a dedicated IP address, and full root access.

Interesting, that might be the /tmp is full again or a user had cause the server goes down or something else. I’ll have Krydos to take a look at it. Escalating

The load had settle down now. Your site is working and ready to go. If you see it again, that likely you’re running a wordpress site. Other users having the same issue like you cause they are running a Wordpress site. Which I wouldn’t recommend It. WP is just really badly written, It's the number one cause of weird errors, suspensions, and even accidental bans. A 500 error with WP is almost always due to installing defective, bloated, or simply too many plugins. I highly recommended it that you should never run Wordpress on our servers, it’s really terrible and it thrown’s in a lots of errors. We have a lot of users successfully installing Joomla on their sites. @byeyoubp: You are currently on Ricky which it’s the slowest server. If you need a better performance server, get Tommy server. Otherwise you’ll have to wait for the load to settle down again.
