The best way to keep people from breaking into WP is to not use WP. Half the time when WP gets hacked, it wasn't brute-force anyway...it's the fact that the thing is so poorly written that it's full of security holes.

That account is not suspended. If you see a suspended page, please clear your cache.

Please create a new topic for that request. This one is a year old, for a different issue, and long since resolved.

That account could not be unarchived due to a server error (database owner already exists). Krydos can usually get these to unarchive, but your username will change when this happens. Lets see what he can do.

It's actually pizzan2. Unarchiving...

[Solved] Is Cloudflare IP ranges blocked from accessing Tommy?
wolstech replied to a topic in Customer Service
Yeah...I just unblocked nearly 100 of their IPs again. It should work now. It's a very common issue with Tommy and one of the big reasons we recommend not using CF's non-DNS offerings with that server. CF very often gets people using their app hosting offerings to run brute-force bots (when this happens, the server promptly blocks them). The even more annoying part is that when this happens, it only affects users in some parts of the world. Most of the IPs I just unblocked were Germany and USA. Users not using those data centers would probably never even notice the issue, while those who do get routed through there would think your site is down. -

Error in accessing MySql database from Java
wolstech replied to joomleex's topic in Customer Service
I'm pretty sure the whole thing fails if it won't start here. Our deployment procedure includes starting it...when you deploy it, the server renames the war if needed, unpacks it and configures Tomcat for it, then launches it. You're correct that in theory one could unpack/set up the war without actually starting it, but what's the point? Tomcat wars here run as another user, and from another folder you can't access, so there's no point in leaving a dead war deployed. You can't access the deployed files, so it's useless if it won't run. -
Krydos has to get these logs for you.

It’s never been asked before, but depending on what it is, I don’t see why not. Krydos would probably be glad to discuss this though

Not sure how this got marked solved. Do you still need this?

[Solved] Lost packets / poor connection from China
wolstech replied to liuzxdp's topic in Escalated Requests
Split from donation topic. Lets see what Krydos says, but I can't reproduce these results, so I suspect there's something on your end causing it. We have numerous users here who live in China, and you're the only one having such a performance issue. -
I've moved your issue here so Krydos can check: https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/35397-lost-packets-poor-connection-from-china/ Lets see what he says...I can't reproduce these results though, so I suspect there's something on your end causing it. It's worth noting that none of our servers are fast (when compared to something like a VPS), though Tommy is usually the fastest of them.

[Solved] Lost packets / poor connection from China

Ricky (our slowest server at the moment) has the newest version we support. Johnny is second, and Tommy is oldest. There are no plans to upgrade the servers at this time. Please note that the cpanel version does not affect speed either...Tommy just has more load than Johnny at the moment (which is odd considering Tommy is usually our fastest server). If you want the latest cPanel, you will need to be moved to Ricky, which is not advised (it will cause your site to be very slow). All of our servers are running at near-normal speeds at the moment, however higher ping times are normal for some users in Asia due to distance (I've seen 200ms when testing through VPNs). In the USA, ping time of 70ms isn't uncommon and is basically normal. Tommy is the best server for stability though. Johnny and Ricky see slowness from load a lot. All of our metrics and history can be seen here: http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/ (For accuracy reasons, this monitor is not owned or operated by HelioHost. It represents an independent party's view of our services' current and historical performance) -
The acconut liuzxdp has been moved to Tommy. The account liuzxdpx (with the X on the end) has been suspended since you're only allowed one account. Please clear your cache and flush your DNS if you're unable to log in or see your website. For the IP for Chinese users, please watch this topic for a response: https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/35396-ip-for-chinese-users/ Thank you for the donation.

Do we still have an IP specifically for Chinese users? I have a user over here who asked, and I haven't seen a post on this in well over 2 years... https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/28384-donate/page-2?do=findComment&comment=157109

Moving... As for a separate IP for chinese users, I will ask Krydos about this. We do not offer ad removal. Also, your second account will be suspended because having two accounts violates our terms of service.

Done. You should now be able to log in and your website should start working within 2 hours.

The username is actually geo (it comes up when I search by email). I'll unarchive it when I get to a pc later this morning.
