[Solved] Addon Domains 0/0, Can't Add Domain!
Krydos replied to infoharv's topic in Customer Service
Take a look at your A records. You've got two of them. The one that matches your shared IP address is the correct one which is 216.218.192.170. The other one 65.19.143.2 needs to be deleted. -
Dedicated IP granted. You can get your CSR on this page http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/frontend/x3/ssl/index.html

Yeah, that's why I combined all the duplicate threads. I guess it's working now for everyone then?

[Solved] Mysql Server Has Been Offline For At Least 7 Hours
Krydos replied to gacanepa's topic in Customer Service
I'm a little confused why you didn't report this after 1 hour or as soon as you noticed, but yes MySQL on Johnny did seem to be having some issues. It wasn't actually down, but it was being so slow that it may as well have been. It seems to be working better now. Thanks for reporting this issue because we can't fix things that we don't know about. Let us know if you're still having issues connecting to MySQL. -
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It should be working now. Let us know if you're still having problems sending mail.

We recommend all Heliohost users follow our official twitter account @Heliohost, or you can also find the latest Heliohost news right here in the forum News section.

Does that mean that horde email is working fine for you now too? What do you mean by "broken"? Also you might want to create a separate topic for this since it's an unrelated issue.
-
Can you post the steps you use to reproduce that error? Horde is working fine on both servers for me.

The most common way for hackers to gain access to your site is by offering free themes and plugins that have some sort of a shell hidden in them. You download the theme or plugin and install it and it phones home to the hacker letting them know it exists. Then they can come along and alter files in your directory, send spam emails from your accounts, or just gain access to your data. Yeah, no problem. Your account is now showing up as clean. Thanks for taking care of this.

[Solved] Suspended : Donovan
Krydos replied to djalmabright's topic in Suspended and Queued Accounts
It's been almost 12 hours already and this still hasn't been taken care of. Here is a hint: /home1/donovan/public_html/wp-content/themes/GPeece/js/jquery-ui-personalized-1.5.2.packed.js You only have 12 hours left to take care of this yourself or your account will be suspended again. -

Yeah, PMs on Helionet fall under the category of "not official and at best your experience will likely be slow and inconsistent". You're welcome to send PMs I suppose, but I rarely check them and I know a lot of the other admins don't provide support through PM either. Anyways, most people go to great lengths and spend gobtons of money to publicize their domains to generate more traffic to their sites so I'm a little confused why you don't want the added boost that posting your domain on our well-trafficked forum would create, but whatever you say. Use this link then http://stevie.helioh...ail/addfwd.html type in the address you want to forward, type in your gmail account that you want to forward to. It's that simple. If you click the advanced options you can see that there is an option to discard the local copy of the mail. I don't really see why it matters if there is a copy saved in both mailboxes, but if you check that option it won't keep the mail in your Heliohost email box. Like it says in cPanel though, this option is not recommended because you could end up losing emails. You must have it set up wrong then because it works for me. You could also check your gmail settings to make sure that the emails aren't getting deleted by a filter or placed in your spam folder or something. This is completely unrelated to your other question and you should probably create a separate thread for it, but I think what you're asking is not to create a subdomain, but rather create a CNAME record that points to your main site.

I do check my mail; probably twenty times a day. If you're referring to checking my mail to see if the above process works, then yes I have tested it and it does work. If you're referring to an email you sent me regarding Heliohost support, unfortunately Heliohost does not have an official email support system. We recommend posting here in the forums to receive the quickest and most efficient support for your Heliohost account. Our official IRC channel is also a good place to post, but be aware that there isnt going to be a volunteer online 24 hours a day to help you via chat. Any other method to contact the Heliohost staff is not official and at best your experience will likely be slow and inconsistent.

Automatically. Well, the wiki says delete, wait 48 hours, create, wait 48 hours so it sounds like the guide is accurate. Account creations, and deletions are based on server load so the only way to rush anyone would be to ask everyone on both servers to stop visiting their sites or something. Well, the problem with that is what if 500 people all try to create their account at once? 500 instant account creations would surely crash the server. Part of the reason we can provide 99%+ uptime is because we balance out the load as much as possible. Nope. Thanks, we think so too. No, the problem with services that offer paid services is they try to pressure you at every turn to buy their paid services. Whether it is disabling all sorts of useful features, and then telling you that you can upgrade to premium or something like that. Another common scam is registrar's making it so complicated to host your purchased domain anywhere other than their bundled hosting that you just give up and let them take your money. I raise my eyebrow at you in a questioning manner as to why you would even ask this question, but if you don't live in the US then yes our servers are located "offshore". If you do live in the US then the servers are on the same shore as you. I guess it just depends on your perspective.

Sure, here you go: /home1/ethanh/files/docx/test.docx /home1/ethanh/backups/backup-201206011815.zip I'm guessing the second one is the same file archived.
