This support request is being escalated to our root admin.
-
If reliability and uptime can be sacrificed, move to Johnny. He has 5.3.23.
-
Sounds like you're blocked by the firewall. Happens sometimes, especially if you used FTP heavily. An admin can check and unblock you if needed. Moved to customer service.

Autoit is famous for FPs...I use it myself, and have to take steps to avoid flagging of my programs. Some best practices: don't use FileInstall() or UPX, don't pack binaries inside your files (e.g. packing them in file resources as RCDATA), and build apps using 3.3.8.0 or older if you can (I and many others been having major issues with newer versions falsing)

What is your username?
-
Did some digging...the issue appears to be related to someone on Johnny who managed to register stevie.heliohost.org as their main domain. Admins: Check the topic on this problem in the mods board for the account name.
-
Looks like a DNS issue... Stevie.heliohost.org resolves to Johnny's IP address. For what it's worth, that login form does work if you enter Johnny credentials in it (http://imgur.com/ZLWEhXJ)
-
An admin will need to do it then if it's supported. Also, is your server just vanilla?
-
I just checked into this again...do you already have an account with us?
-
Did you try to create a CNAME for play.mecraft.fr, pointed to Minecraft05.omgserv.com? If you know the IP of the game server, you might also want to try an A record pointed to the IP (I currently use an A for mine). After changes, wait several hours, then try to connect to the game server using play.mecraft.fr:10252.
-
All accounts are queued for a period of time after they're created until the configuration completes. Once it's created you can log in as you've discovered, but you won't be able to see your website until the setup finishes. On Stevie, this is usually 24-48 hours, and on Johnny, 3-5 days.
-
Moved to customer service. I'm not sure we support SRV...if we do, an admin will have to create it for you. I can't see how such a record would be required to use a minecraft server anyway, though. You probably can use a CNAME to give the server a subdomain under your domain.

I remember seeing a topic about gmx a while back...IIRC they block our mail as spam and are a known issue. I'd suggest you don't use them or you won't be able to do things like reset your password. As for the quota...yeah, the 3am signup sucks. I'm US East Coast as well and had to do that back in 2011 when I made my account.

Yashrs pretty much answered it. Try immediately after midnight pacific time and it'll likely work. Stevie usually hits quota for the day within a few hours.
-
I'll assume you're on Stevie... See http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/18875-stevie-mysql-common-questions-and-problems/ about half way down.

That account is not suspended. It looks like it's been hacked though...
-
Also gonna have to say PHP. Easy to learn, can be OO or procedural, not picky about things that others are (looking at you python...), and the errors it generates when you screw up are actually somewhat meaningful in most cases.
-
At most, apache logs (if we even have them, which I don't know, an admin would) would show the IP of who connected, which could be hundreds or thousands of entries. As for backups, that is the users responsibility. Put simply, you probably can't find out who did it, and no we don't have a backup for you. The best I can recommend is that you rebuild your site using all up to date software. Outdated software is the number one reason people get hacked.

You can't throttle/disable the email yourself. An admin needs to do that. (You can and should disable any email functions in your forum settings though once you get unsuspended). As for the source, it's likely coming from SMF (your forum software). Someone or something is abusing it, likely due to it not being set up improperly or not being updated to fix security holes. Softaculous is a tool that lets you install software easily. It won't send spam (or any mail for that matter except update notifications). It sounds like the folks who made the site for you used it to set up the forum.

[Solved] Is It Possible To Change Heliohost Username?
wolstech replied to energyuser's topic in Customer Service
I'm not sure if we can change that or not...never had anyone ask. Also, what is the wrong username, and the correct one? If you want, one thing you can do to fix it yourself is delete your account, wait 24 hours for it to delete, then register again with the proper username. -
Replace the localhost with the IP or domain of your game server. IIRC from when you had the port opened, your game server is not at that .tk domain. Also, this thing requires rcon. Is the query option in your config enabled and does the query port match?
-
PM me the IP if you don't mind. I'll see if I can find his account. I actually don't see anything wrong with what he's doing though unless the files exceed his space limit or are illegal/pirated, or the script he plans to use causes high load. I use my account to store large files regularly albeit it's not my sole use (I have several websites and web based software hosted on it.) Abuse reports can either be posted here or can be emailed to abuse@heliohost.org.

I'll be willing to bet you have an outdated Wordpress install or something on your account. Since you don't know how it was built, I'll assume you don't know how to update the software either. Web software, especially popular content management software (which i'll bet you're using, even if you're unaware of it) usually requires updates to be installed in order to stay secure. An admin might be able to disable the email functions...I know we can throttle it to like 1 mail an hour, so I don't see why 0 would be impossible.
-
Suspension is for 2500+ emails in under 12 hours...your problem is back. I'm not going to unsuspend this just yet because we can't have accounts spewing mail like that. We need to figure out the cause first. As hussam asked, what software do you have in the account? Things like Wordpress or joomla are commonly exploited by hackers to install spam bots or other malware to let them abuse the account. Also do you actually use email on your account?
