You just need to make sure whatever provider you use supplies the same records that our server does. Note that a few services like Afraid.org are known to be incompatible. The data of your account will not be affected, though your domains may stop working if you don't configure it right. The changes needed will all be made at your domain registrar and your new DNS provider's website, so you will need to contact them for assistance, as the process varies from provider to provider. Please note that something.heliohost.org subdomains cannot use a third party DNS provider. Also, as a reminder, please remember that we do not support any DNS providers other than our own because we cannot properly check for issues on servers we do not control. As a result, if you ask for support, you will be required to remove the third-party DNS and switch back to ours before we can help you.

It wasn't suspended as of my last post, but did get suspended for inactivity yesterday (9/23). I just renewed it for you. Try it now.

Seems to be working fine at the moment. It was definitely down earlier, but has come back up on its own.

That account cannot be unarchived at this time because it is on Johnny, which is down for extended maintenance. Your account's contents can be downloaded from https://heliohost.org/backup/ . If you wish to continue hosting with us, you can sign up again for free when registrations open, or if you're a donor, we can move this account to another server and restore it there for you instead.

Everyone is seeing that, there's something wrong with the server. See https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/34237-all-tommy-accounts-on-shared-ip-showing-inactive-page/

It looks like most if not all of the sites on tommy are showing that. The server is broken. Escalating to Krydos.

It looks like nearly every account on tommy that uses the shared ip is showing the account inactive page for some reason. I restarted Apache but it didn't help. Any ideas?

WHMCS is literally the only script that we don't allow...just about everyone here used to pirate it, so we banned it. You will need to find different software or a different host if that's what you want to run. Just about everything else runs here though. And yes, it's 1GB storage, and a $5 donation can double it to 2GB if you need it.

We only give away a limited number of free accounts every day. You're seeing that message because they've all been taken already. It resets at midnight UTC every day. Tommy's quota usually goes within seconds of opening due to demand, and Ricky usually lasts anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour before being full. Historical data can be seen here: http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/ (note that Johnny never opens because that server is currently broken). If you don't want to wait and hope you get an account, donors who contribute $1 or more receive a Tommy account as a thank you gift. Posting your transaction ID here on the forums will speed up the process of receiving it if you go that route.

You would need to download PMA, upload it to your account, configure it, and give out the url to it. Softaculous can also install it for you I believe. Remote access is for users who want to access the database over the internet from another computer like their own. There is a page in cpanel for it. You add the IPs of allowed computers, or add a % to allow all IPs. The user would need to install software on their PC to access the database with.

There isn't one. An admin has to delete it. Do you want me to delete your account?

That domain is already added and seems to be working fine. I see an html tutorial page. Is there something wrong with it? -
[Solved] HELIOHOST IS THE BIGGEST LOAD OF BULL EVER
wolstech replied to repo's topic in Escalated Requests
He got banned for Phishing. Posting this just earned him a forum ban too. What I don't know, is why he was banned for phishing to begin with. I didn't ban him, and I can't find any true phishing on his account. EDIT: Just realized I was looking in the wrong account. His username here belongs to someone else on Ricky...re-researching the correct account (fladnag). EDIT 2: I still can't figure out why this is banned. I see a copy of Open Web Analytics, and that's about it. On the bright side, his copyright claims are nonsense. Perhaps Krydos knows. I am going to leave his forum account unbanned, since I still have no idea why this account is even marked as Phishing to begin with. I can't find any form of malware or phishing site on it, there's nothing in the mail folders, and no abuse report. I suspect it may be the filenames used by his software... -
[Solved] Remote connection with PostgreSQL
wolstech replied to fjmduran's topic in Escalated Requests
Correct, we don't allow it unless you explicitly request it. Since the required info is in the connection string, I'll let Krydos look at this to set it up.- 3 replies
