[Solved] Cpanel Not Licensed Message On Johnny
Krydos replied to zoso1976's topic in Customer Service
Fixed. -
Your account was resuspended for failure to take care of the malware problem during your allotted 24 hour period. The offending files have been deleted, and your account has been manually unsuspended. If you still see the suspended page then you should try clearing your browsers cache.

[Inactive] How can I point my domain to Heliohost.org?
Krydos replied to indiaweb's topic in Customer Service
What domain are you talking about? That error usually means that the nameservers aren't set right, but if you tell us what domain you're trying to add we can check it for you. Also, keep in mind that changing the nameservers can sometimes take up to 48 hours depending on your registrar, and that error could occur if the changes haven't gone through fully yet. -
That account cannot be unsuspended.

I think the main problem is the time you run your cron jobs. Is there any reason that it has to be run at exactly midnight PST? That's obviously a really high load time anyways. I suspect you'd be fine if you just moved it to a non-peak time of the day. If there are 50 people all running crons at the exact same time, and yours is causing the most load, and the server performance starts to drop then the highest load account gets suspended, which is yours.

Are you trying to connect to MySQL from a remote location? If so you need to allow remote conenctions first http://johnny.heliohost.org:2082/frontend/x3/sql/managehost.html

Yes, you can use SQLite as your database if you want to. For most cases I imagine MySQL will perform better though. http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:SQLite#Installing_MediaWiki_on_SQLite_backend

Can you upload a version of your catechesi.war that uses the logic:NotPresent tag. I'll leave your current version deployed, but I'd like to try some testing with it.

Your account is showing up as clean now. Thank you for taking care of this.

Wow, I've read that post probably ten times and always read it as "global server wide" each and every time. Here's to seeing what you expect to see instead of what is actually there. With over 4000 posts I admit I probably skim over things a bit faster than I did when I had less than 100 posts. The reason I'm hesitant to change any settings is because the settings are the way they are to help prevent abuse from one account. If we let one account go nuts and overuse mysql then the other several thousand accounts on the same server would have poor performance. What makes the one account so much more important that the other thousands? We all pay the same amount for the hosting here. Furthermore, I have raised the limits before, but usually when the limits need to be raised we have 2-20 people on here at the same time complaining about the same errors. Remember what I said about thousands of accounts? Why are all of those other accounts, the majority of which use mysql too, not having any issues with the current settings, but you (and only you) are? Sure, some people are never going to report a single error with their website, and some people report an error each time they sneeze and there is a spot on their screen, but those are outliers on the bell curve. Anyways, let us know if your most recent change solves things or if it doesn't. I'm willing to tweak the settings for you a little, but it's best to make sure you aren't doing something odd first before potentially breaking the whole server.

I believe the reason your subdomain is behaving the way it is is because you installed osclass to rentersguild.com/rent instead of installing it to the subdomain. Try removing the install through softaculous, and then reinstall it but this time choose the corect subdomain that you want it to work as. Yes, as current root administrator, of course I have access to anything on any of the four servers that I want. However, you can fix this yourself. It's your account not mine. If there is something wrong with the server that is the stuff that gets highest priority for my time. This is just a software/code error. One of my personal policies I try to keep in mind as an administrator is, "If you give a man a fish, he eats for a day; if you teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime." I could just give you a fish by fixing this for you, but what about the next time you don't know how to do something? If you just learn how to do this stuff yourself you won't have to bother anyone else for help, and you might even become a contributing member of the Heliohost community by being able to help others. That's the reason this service is free, because it's run by volunteers helping each other. Most of us were just as or more clueless than you feel right now when we started, but we were willing to learn. Once we had learned enough we were able to pay back the community that taught us so much by helping the next generation of newbies.

You can do whatever you want with it; it's your file and your account. If you wrote all the code in the file and you're positive it's not a virus then file a false positive report with the link in Tjoene's post. If our automated scanners still detect a virus on your account in about 17 hours (24 hours from the timestamp on Tjoene's post) then your account will be resuspended.

Users are allowed to use cron http://johnny.heliohost.org:2082/frontend/x3/cron/index.html Please do not ignore the bold red text though. Each user can run a maximum of two cron jobs per day, and if you exceed this limit your account will be suspended. Here are the versions of python currently available on Johnny: #!/usr/bin/python2.4 Python 2.4.3 #!/usr/bin/python Python 2.4.3 #!/usr/local/bin/python2.7 Python 2.7.4
