You were suspended for inactivity. Please log into cPanel every 30 days to avoid this. In the future, you can renew the account yourself here: heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/renew Your account has been unsuspended. On another note...that domain is flagged as malware by MalwareBytes, and is redirecting to localhost...

Just a heads up: http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/23416-queued-domain/

SSL is not free. Did you pay the required $12 fee for the dedicated IP needed for SSL? If so, please post the transaction ID so we can activate it for you.

Krydos/Byron, Can you take a look at the following for a user? He says he added it yesterday and that it's showing as a parked domain in cPanel, but it doesn't show in the ACP and is still queued. User account is jrimer on Stevie. Domain in question is jaredrimer.com
-
Something strange is going on...it's still not showing as added (let alone working) on my end. I'm going to give it the full 24 hours (until this afternoon) to see, but if it's still not working, I'll ask the root admins about your domain for you.

cPanel servers all work the same way...most just have the various services set to restart a lot more often than we do (some actually do it immediately upon change, one host I've used you could add a domain in cPanel and it worked in <10 minutes). But those guys have entire farms for their hosting company (and the huge amount of resources that come with that)...we have 2 little boxes (soon to be 3). The thing is, these processes cause load spikes when they reload, so we just do it once a day during a low-load period to reduce its impact on sites that are already working.

Yep, what you're experiencing is the process of it being configured. Your domain already did the DNS portion of its setup based on that ping (216.218.192.170 is Stevie, which is correct for your account), so you're just waiting on Apache now. The Account Queued message is normal until Apache restarts during nightly, so you need to just wait out the 24 hours. After that, it will work (you may need to clear your cache once the 24 hours is up). If you're interested: the technical reason is that Apache uses Virtual Hosts to direct different domains to different web roots. cPanel adds a virtual host to Apache's config for your domain when you add it to your account, but that newly edited config file isn't loaded until Apache restarts. If Apache is asked to serve a domain that isn't in the loaded configuration, it serves the default "Account Queued" page. When it restarts during nightly, the new config file will load and Apache will finally recognize your domain and serve your content.

You're suspended for having two accounts (okelapak and sagafx). You're only allowed one. Which one do you want to keep?
-
Same user as okelapak. See http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/23412-suspended-okelapak/

I don't see that domain in the system (only your jaredrimer.heliohost.org is associated with you right now), though that would be normal if you just added it today. I can't see it until the setup completes. Verify that the domain is showing in cPanel under your parked domains (add it if not). It takes up to 24 hours from the time it's added for the DNS and Apache setup to complete for a new domain. Domain setups are typically processed once a day on Stevie, so once it's added, it will get set up in the next cycle. When it starts working, I'll post back to let you know.

Your username has been changed.

I've moved this here hoping that someone else can answer this. I do know it works since I've seen others use it, but I'm a PHP programmer and just don't know how to set it up. From what I've seen though, it is one of the more difficult things to make work here.

Did you just add this domain to your account? Domains on Johnny accounts take 4-7 days to start working once they're added due to load. If so, you just need to give it a few days, then clear your cache.

Django is an extreme pain. I'll move this to questions so it has more visibility. Unfortunately I know nothing about python.

The server removes the job and suspends you for breaking the rules. Cron is a bit ridiculous on the suspensions in my opinion, but that's how it's always worked in the 5 years I've been here. We don't send emails other than for inactivity, though I agree this may be a useful thing to add. Thank you for the suggestion. We don't allow you to change the suspended page because allowing this would defeat the page's purpose. The intention of that page is to show something that the user cannot control so we have a quick way to remove everything from visibility and stop your resource usage if there's an issue (e.g. Phishing, copyright infringement, porn, script malfunction making server slow, etc.)

[Solved] Suspended Account Due To Use Of Cron
wolstech replied to banavina's topic in Suspended and Queued Accounts
Your account was suspended for running too many cron jobs. To help keep load low, we limit accounts to two (2) cron executions in a 24 hour period. This means that, if you only have a single job, it can run no more frequently than once every 12 hours, with two jobs, they can each only run once a day, and so on. Your account has been unsuspended. -

[Solved] Suspended Overused Of Cron
wolstech replied to pyepez's topic in Suspended and Queued Accounts
Yep, 4 cron jobs. The server should have already deleted the bad job for you. You've been unsuspended. Please clear your cache if you still see the suspended page. -
The account isn't actually active when it says it is. "Active" means cpanel is active, which takes a few hours in most cases. The DNS on Johnny takes up to week (currently about 4 days...). Stevie takes a day. After that, you have to clear your browser cache to get rid of that default page and see your index page. We can't move the account for many reasons. Just deleting it and making you register again eliminates one of the two DNS updates (and associated wait time) that you'd experience (the first one is canceled when you delete if it hasn't happened already), the risks associated with human error and the time lost while moving accounts (everyone who runs Heliohost is volunteer), along with the abuse that comes from people signing up for Johnny with the intention of asking to be moved to Stevie to get around our limit.

The delete process should just display a message when its successful. Even though it didn't show any message, I checked for you and it did work since I can no longer find your account. It's not just you frustrated by the performance on Johnny. This board, heliohost.org, and the admin tools all share the same physical hardware as Johnny and suffer because of Johnny's load. It took me 15 minutes for me to check the admin tools to see if your account was gone since I kept timing out! We did just buy some new hardware though, so this performance issue will eventually go away when the new box comes online. The new box is going to have Stevie's signup and load restrictions with Johnny's features, so those who need ASP.NET, Ruby, etc. have somewhere to go that isn't down all the time. Also, note that the midnight time for Stevie is in U.S. Pacific Time. It appears you're in California, so it should actually be midnight for you. When I joined here 5 years ago, I had to get up at 3am to get my Stevie account (I'm an east coaster...). I know the limit is a pain, but it's the big reason Stevie is stable (the others are resource limits and fewer features).
-
We intentionally disabled that for security reasons. You need to use our name servers. We don't support A and CNAME records for pointing addon/parked domains to our service. The inky wat to use a domain without using our name servers is to make it your main domain. Use this script to do that: http://www.heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/domain There is a limit of one main domain per user (changing will replace your old one), and an account configured this way cannot have a .heliohost.org subdomain (because it would have to be the main domain to have one).

You signed up two days ago. Accounts on johnny can take up to a week to start working due to that server being severely over capacity. Also be aware that Johnny's uptime is terrible for the same reason. Johnny's meant for experimental stuff and for many, Johnny is not fast enough nor stable enough for real websites. For what you're doing, you sound like you're looking for the performance offered on Stevie.
