  1. You are given a deadline to remove this at a reasonable time with this post (with the limitation of 3 hours) or face privacy violation charges within (and if later on removed after 3 hours shall have to prove in trial [the reason]). Also I wonder if "Heliohost" really is an operative company and not a band of people collecting donations illegally (as required for a non-profit, and not a company). 1. The TOS has been around since 2011: http://wiki.helionet.org/index.php?title=Terms&action=history and there is a check box you have to check in order for the registration wizard to let you click next. If you happened to somehow register without seeing this, please let us know how so it can be fixed. 2. I've opened an internal discussion on this and am waiting to hear back. You're the first in 12 years to ask for a privacy policy. I sort of agree on the quality of the language in the TOS, however our goal is to make it easy to read as opposed to the "wall of text" legalese that most of these agreements are. There may be room for improvement here. 3. We do take our users' privacy seriously. We don't release the only two potentially identifiable pieces of data we collect (email and IP). Our TOS addresses our handling of your data (that we may inspect or delete it to enforce the TOS, that we don't guarantee you won't lose your data, and that we won't be held responsible for the damages if you do). We allow users to use VPNs to access our services. We provide free SSL encryption for all websites. If you need support privately, PMs are accepted by some of the admins including myself. 4. You are welcome to not use our services. As a service that has hosted 50,000+ users over the past 12 years, you're the first to complain about our support methods or lack of a privacy policy. Also, you say "in your country", what country? We're a legal company in Washington state, USA, and we make every effort to comply with relevant US laws. While our service is on the internet and thus available globally, we cannot guarantee it will meet legal requirements in other countries. I've disabled your hosting accounts per your requests. If you wish, I can hide this topic and remove your forum user accounts as well, however you will not be able to post once I do. Do you want me to do this? In addition, if there is any other data you would like removed, please let us know.
  2. Care to explain where exactly we released personal information? We don't collect any information besides email address and IP address that could be considered "personal" (and we don't make these two items public). We do not consider usernames to be personal (pretty much no website does), and in fact, during sign up, it informs you that we've created a forum account with the same username, so there should not be any expectation of your usernames being private. You're required to agree to the TOS during sign up (a document which you evidently did not read seeing we're having this discussion). Also, Privacy Policies are not legally required in the USA (though it's good practice to have one). You're the first in our 12 years of operation to have asked about one. Perhaps Krydos has some input on this (he's the one who runs the servers). I've opened an internal discussion into this issue. Your accounts have been disabled at your request. The request may take up to an hour to fully process due to the number of accounts you have.
  3. To add to this, I noticed that most of these accounts are various domains/subdomains of Freenom domains. If you were unaware, you can have more than one domain on a single account. Also, for reference, here are the Terms of Service: http://wiki.helionet.org/Terms Please let us know the name of the one account you want to keep, or why you think you should be granted multiple accounts by 12PM PDT. If we don't hear from you, all of your accounts will be suspended.
  4. The particular domain you posted is currently suspended for abuse... They can't access your files, but our username list is public (every hosting account has a matching forum account with the same username), and every account has a public_html folder, so assuming /home/youraccount/public_html exists is reasonable. By the way, you are aware our TOS only allows you one account right? I see 18 accounts...can you please explain why need so many (disk space is not a legitimate reason)?
  5. That name is already being used by someone else.
  6. Done. Let us know if you need anything else
  7. Then you should be able to just sign up again. It will just tell you during signup you already have a forum account named WhiskeyJack and should associate it with the hosting account. The only other reason a username would be unavailable is if someone else already registered it. What is the username in question?
  8. The Stevie accounts are long gone. Did it have the same username as your forum account? If so, this is what's blocking you from recreating the account, and I need to rename your forum account until after you sign up.
  9. Changed. Let us know once you sign up and we can change it back.
  10. 30 days is best thought of as 720 hours from your last login, ignoring the calendar/month length entirely. If you logged in today (5/13), you need to log in before the end of 6/12. If the last login were February 14, you'd have to log in by the end of March 16, and so on.
  11. What is your username and what domain is it?
  12. The account cromarko has been deleted. I've also renamed your forum account so you can reuse "coldwin" for a hosting account. Let me know once you've registered and I'll rename you back. We don't have a Stevie backup for an account named coldwin, so the account cannot be "recovered", you'll need to sign up again and rebuild your site. As for needing a production server, I recommend either Ricky or Tommy. Ricky is Stevie's replacement (lives on the hardware that used to be Stevie). Tommy is on new hardware we bought last year. The major difference between them is that Tommy offers ASP.NET and Java, whereas Ricky does not.
  13. It's because of your forum username. I've renamed you to aepadmin2 so you can reuse the username. Let us know once you've registered and we can change it back.
  14. You need to back everything up, log into https://www.heliohost.org/ and delete your account. Once it deletes, sign up again when registrations open at midnight, add your domains, and restore all your files and databases.
  15. Marking solved since the account in question has been permanently suspended for failure to correct the issue.
  16. Removing a domain does not delete the folder, it just removes the domain and it's related DNS entries. If you want to be sure, add the new one first. Also, you don't need to remove the old one. If you leave both of them, they'll both work and show the same content.
  17. Just add the new domain as another addon domain and set the document root to the same folder as the old one.
  18. The uptime of Tommy is similar to what used to be offered by Stevie. In addition, we'll be releasing a new server named Ricky soon as well. This will be the "real" Stevie replacement (he's a VM that lives on Stevie's hardware).
  19. Unsolved so he re-deploys it.
  20. It got hacked again already. I'm seeing a "hacked by rapozof" banner at the top of your page. Please remove everything including your store software from your site ASAP. It has a backdoor or security hole. Also, please change your password. I've already given you 2 chances to fix this malware/hacking issue, this is your last chance. If this is not fixed within the next 12 hours, you will be permanently suspended.
  21. Glad to hear. The server is severely overloaded though...http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/ It's been down most of the past day. This is normal for Johnny though...it's intended to be used for testing/experimentation, not a production website. For better up time, I recommend moving to Tommy.
  22. It's an old server and is overloaded because we allow unlimited sign ups and more resource use per user. Johnny is intended as an experimental server, so this downtime is normal. If you need something stable, you should move to Tommy. Tommy has much better performance and up time and can run everything that Johnny can except for Rails applications.
  23. That account is not suspended.
  24. That account has been unsuspended. You have 24 hours from now to remove the hacked website and all malware from your account.
