  1. Krydos can install these.
  2. Running as admin will solve the errors, but it's worth noting that the folders those links reference are typically either useless cpanel data (that .cpanm folder can be ignored entirely) or alternative names for actual folders that extract normally (e.g. that www symlink points to public_html). The data from the account should be in the output even if you ignore the symlink errors. The vast majority of users need these (paths may be slightly different since I'm trying to recall this from memory at the moment...): /homedir/public_html /mysql (if you use mysql) /pgsql (if you use postgres) /homedir/mail (if you used email) /homedir/logs (if you want the access logs) Custom folders and files added to your home folder.
  3. cPanel is no longer available because our licenses have been revoked. Please see the News section for more information. We're working on a replacement that's based on Plesk. We have no official ETA, but my guess is somewhere between "several months" and "never". If you need to access your account, you must do so via SFTP. Files can be uploaded/downloaded, and databases can be managed by uploading phpmyadmin to your account and accessing that. Email does not work and domains cannot be added or altered. I believe Krydos can reset the password if you need it. Please let us know if so.
  4. Krydos can install these for you.
  5. Johnny is port 1373. Note that the protocol is SFTP, not normal FTP. See https://wiki.helionet.org/management/uploading-files for more information.
  6. Can you try 7-zip?

    Plesk ETA

Nobody has been moved. I just looked at his existing account and there is data in there just as Krydos said above. The old accounts still work, they just have to be managed using SFTP and there's no cPanel or email.
  8. Krydos can install this for you.
  9. Please see the news section. We haven't accepted new users since July of 2021 because our cPanel licenses were revoked and the replacement system (Plesk) isn't finished yet. There is no ETA on when that will be available (probably at least a few months), but once it is, you can send us your transaction ID and we can get you an account.
  10. Krydos can install this for you.
  11. That message is normal for VPS customers. We don't provide any sort of account or control panel for VPS users. You'll receive an email with credentials once it is built (can take up to 24 hours, but is less in most cases). Once the VPS is built, you have to administer it using SSH (linux) or RDP (Windows) using the information contained in the email.
  12. VPSes don't have any control panel or account you can sign into, so that's normal. Once it's set up (it can take up to 24 hours), you'll receive an email with instructions for logging into it. Linux VPSes are administered using an SSH client, Windows ones use Remote Desktop.

    Plesk ETA

It’s not so much lack of him sharing (and a lack of communication isn’t unexpected when there are more pressing issues such as those K is currently dealing with) as it is that none of us have the skill set he does. For example, If I were tasked with this project, the first step would’ve been “convert servers to Windows” since I know very little about Linux…
  14. Escalating to Krydos (split from email support since he posted directly: https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/52463-hh100949-python/#comment-210602)
  15. Your request has been escalated here: https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/52494-krydos-vps-purchase-help/
  16. Krydos is the one who can help with that. I'm going to split this off into a new topic and escalate that to Krydos for you since you posted directly anyway. I cannot escalate an email support ticket.
  17. Krydos can install for you when he gets a moment.

    Plesk ETA

Just 1 (Krydos). He's flying solo on the project. There's too many things we can't help with due to either a lack of knowledge of how it works, or a lack of skills to do the work (e.g. myself, I don't know linux beyond basic administration, I'm a Windows guy, so I'm useless for the development part of this project). Also, @KrydosSorry to hear about your father and your health.
  19. The email on your hosting account has been updated. It appears you've already changed and verified it on your forum profile, so everything should now match.
  20. I just set your PhpMyAdmin to use PHP 7.1 which has mbstring, it works now. You can change the PHP version for a single folder by putting an .htaccess inside with the handler assignment. If you're curious how, check out the .htaccess I created inside your phpMyAdmin folder. This also means you can use a newer version of PMA if you want. The server has up to PHP 7.4 if I remember right.
  21. That domain isn't hosted here. As for your account, it might be archived, but it's not showing in the backup system. Escalating to see if Krydos can find it. Also, as we no longer have a license for cPanel, we are not able to restore archived accounts, and are also currently unable to offer replacement accounts. If we locate your archive, it will be made available for download in the backup system but cannot be restored. At this time, we currently aren't able to offer free hosting to users who have archived or no account, and accounts that do exist are limited to SFTP for access. We're working to implement Plesk as a replacement for cPanel, but that is not ready yet. Please see the News section for more information about that. All of that said, if you need hosting now and don't mind paying for it, you can buy a VPS for $4/month as a solution in the meantime: https://heliohost.org/vps/
  22. Please see the News section. We no longer have a license for cPanel, and the replacement Plesk control panel isn't implemented yet. We are unable to offer new accounts to any users at this time, and existing accounts, if online, have no control panel and have to be administered via SFTP. Accounts that are still online will be moved to Plesk when it becomes available, but I cannot find your account which means its likely archived. If your account was archived prior the licenses being revoked, you need to wait until Plesk becomes available, then ask for an invite to manually create a new account (cPanel archives cannot be migrated onto Plesk automatically, but you can unpack it and use the data inside to restore your site). At this time, we have no idea when free hosting will be available again. It's been 7 months already with basically no visible progress (Krydos is flying solo on the migration project, and he hasn't said much other than that the migration script doesn't work yet). If you need hosting now and don't mind paying for it, VPSes are available (https://heliohost.org/vps/ ) for as little as $4/month, and can run anything you want, including Django and MySQL.
  23. Price for the VPS itself is the same as for Linux ones of the same specs, since we do not provide a license for Windows. It comes with the 120 day trial installed. You are responsible for properly licensing it after that time. Windows Server 2019 (Standard, which is the minimum license that can legally be used in a VPS scenario) is around $800 from most legitimate sources last I checked…to my knowledge only one person has ever took us up on a windows VPS.
