We don't have a card on file for you. PayPal probably has a card on file for you, but we don't have access to just charge that without you taking any action. You do have a VPS but the subscription can only bill you for $21.60 every 6 months like you agreed when you signed up. If you go to https://heliohost.org/dashboard/move/ and click the Morty prepay link you can move your account yourself though. If you can't get that to work we could send you a payment link, and then move you manually once the payment goes through.

You can reactivate your account yourself at https://heliohost.org/dashboard/storage/ or tell us what to delete. I took a look around and didn't see anything obvious to delete, but I did notice that httpdocs/UX root@tommy [/home/gmpintus.helioho.st/httpdocs/UX]# ls 'Aulas 2019 Bootstrap.zip' desktop.ini scripts _notes favicon-16x16.png site.webmanifest android-chrome-192x192.png favicon-32x32.png sitemap.html android-chrome-512x512.png favicon-old.ico sitemap.txt apple-touch-icon.png favicon.ico sitemap.xml archive google0ceedb67767e8d75.html 'slide gallery 2.js' assets google8e9fdfe4817222e5.html 'slide gallery.html' cgi-bin images 'slide gallery.js' contact-form-handler.php index.html 'slide gallery2.html' contact-form-thank-you.html index2.html 'slide gallery3.html' contact-form.html 'lightbox test.html' styles.css cssbox.css main.js styles2.css curso-de-ingles.html old-index.html validation curso-de-italiano.html robots.txt vantagens.html Appears to just be the same as httpdocs root@tommy [/home/gmpintus.helioho.st/httpdocs]# ls 'Aulas 2019 Bootstrap.zip' favicon-16x16.png robots.txt UX favicon-32x32.png scripts android-chrome-192x192.png favicon-old.ico site.webmanifest android-chrome-512x512.png favicon.ico sitemap.html apple-touch-icon.png gmpAcademy sitemap.txt archive google0ceedb67767e8d75.html sitemap.xml assets google8e9fdfe4817222e5.html 'slide gallery 2.js' cgi-bin images 'slide gallery.html' contact-form-handler.php index.html 'slide gallery.js' contact-form-thank-you.html index2.html 'slide gallery2.html' contact-form.html 'lightbox test.html' 'slide gallery3.html' cssbox.css main.js styles.css curso-de-ingles.html old-index.html styles2.css curso-de-italiano.html professorparticular validation desktop.ini professorparticular.info vantagens.html

When we started offering Tommy accounts as a thank you gift to people who donated $1 or more back in 2016 the fees on each dollar were 3 cents, and we got 97 cents. That's 3% fees. Fast forward 9 years, and that same dollar now has 52 cents of fees taken out of it, and we only get 48 cents. That's 52% fees. We think that is completely ridiculous! PayPal and the credit card companies like Visa and MasterCard just keep getting greedier and greedier, and punishing the people who do small transactions. There's not a lot we can do about it unfortunately. We recently set up a Stripe account and the fees are about the same. The $1 donation was never meant to be a way for us to get rich. We just choose a small donation amount to help separate the donors from the free accounts, and make it easier for people who don't want to deal with the short signup window for free accounts. With that in mind, we have reduced the price of the 7000 MB, 6000 MB, 5000 MB, and 4000 MB Tommy donations. The 3000 MB Tommy donation is staying the same, and we're increasing the donation amount slightly for the 2000 MB and 1000 MB plans. On the 1000 MB plan we will now be paying 27% fees which is still ridiculously high, but much better than 52% fees. We have also added a cryptocurrency integration into the Tommy signup page. Depending on the wallet, the cryptocurrency, and the network you use the fees could be less than 2 cents. If you decide to use the new cryptocurrency integration we would love to hear some feedback on how it well it worked for you. If people like it we could add crypto payments to Morty accounts and VPS as well.

[Inactive] Issue with Storage Space Upgrade
Krydos replied to emmanuelfosso205's topic in Escalated Requests
It looks like you have 2 accounts. The first account is emmanuelfosso205 which was created on Johnny on 2024-09-29, and on 2025-06-06 you paid $5 to move the account to Morty. The second account is emmanuelfosso206 which was created on Johnny on 2025-05-21, and on 2025-06-06 you paid $1 to move the account to Tommy. Each person is only allowed to have 1 account on Johnny or Tommy, so from 2025-05-21 until 2025-06-06 you were actually violating our terms of service by having 2 Johnny accounts, but since 1 of the accounts is on Morty now you're fine. I don't see any storage space upgrades though. What is the transaction ID of the storage space upgrade? -
[HH#991924] Enquiry regarding free-tier (Johnny) web hosting

We put together a list of helpful tips on how to get a free account that you can read here https://wiki.helionet.org/Signing_Up#Helpful_Tips_for_Getting_a_Free_Account_on_Johnny -
Your VPS has been powered back on, and your new subscription has been linked to your VPS.

Thank you for letting us know. Sorry about the suspension. It looks like your account is active again now, but if you need any of your files they can be found at https://heliohost.org/backup/

HelioHost is happy to announce that we're disabling ads across all of our websites and hosting plans, including the free Johnny plan, starting now. Back in 2008 through 2016 or so HelioHost was 100% funded by ads, and we made so much ad revenue that we even managed to save up quite a bit of money in our bank account too. It might come as a shock to some of you, but it isn't free for us to provide free hosting, so we still have to pay for stuff like electricity and internet access. As the years went by Adsense kept paying less less and less each year, and our bills kept adding up to be higher than the ad revenue. So our bank accounts kept dwindling lower and lower. There were a few scary years in there where we had to make some hard decisions whether or not to just give up and shut down entirely. We didn't think anyone would be willing to donate to us, but we didn't really have a lot of other options, so starting in 2016 we began asking for donations. We were then, and still are, completely shocked by how generous people can be. After finishing a record setting fundraiser to purchase a new server earlier this year, we discussed it and decided that we don't need ads at all anymore. As long as people keep donating towards our non-profit mission to provide free or low cost hosting, we don't need to bombard you with annoying advertisements. Thank you to all of our donors for making this possible.

[HH#620842] Please add my new domain to my profile: pieterkeeve.co.za
Krydos replied to HelioHost's topic in Email Support
I recommend waiting an hour or two and trying again. Since you recently changed your DNS settings it can take a bit for the changes to propagate through the internet. I'm still seeing some DNS servers around the world serving the old A record. -

No. Are the hacked Wordpress sites deleted? https://tommy.heliohost.org/smb/outgoing-mail/list/type/subscription

The rebuild has been started and you'll get an email in about 10 minutes when it's done. Your next free rebuild will be available on 2025-07-03. If you need additional rebuilds prior to that date they can be purchased for $1 each.

[HH#991924] Enquiry regarding free-tier (Johnny) web hosting
Krydos replied to HelioHost's topic in Email Support
No problem. If you haven't seen the news yet, free signups opened again about 6 hours ago, and will open again tonight at midnight UTC. That is about 6 hours from now. -
Free signups on the Johnny server will be reopening in about 10 hours since the maintenance for the last week has been completed. The performance of PHP should be much faster than before, and the number of 503 errors should be much less. Let us know if you notice any difference. Webmail is now disabled by default on the Johnny accounts, but you can enable it yourself if you will be using it.

[HH#991924] Enquiry regarding free-tier (Johnny) web hosting
Krydos replied to HelioHost's topic in Email Support
We are doing some maintenance on the Johnny server right now, but we're almost done and signups should reopen later today or tomorrow. We'll make a news post when signups are available again. -
Is FTP working faster now on Johnny? We're almost done with the maintenance.

Your IPv4 reverse DNS, and IPv6 reverse DNS are both set up correctly for the domain mail.wiimart.org. If you want us to switch it to some other domain just let us know. There is one PTR record for your IPv4 and one PTR record for your IPv6. If you're talking about this CNAME 149.191.19.65.in-addr.arpa. 86385 IN CNAME 149.subnet144.191.19.65.in-addr.arpa. your friend doesn't know what they are talking about because that is how reverse DNS control is delegated to subnets that are smaller than /24. The only way it could be removed is if we either bought the entire /24, which costs $256 per month, or contacted our ISP every single time some VPS user wanted to change their reverse DNS. If your friend is talking about "should only be one present" meaning one PTR record between both IPv4 and IPv6, once again they have no idea what they're talking about because if your VPS sends email via IPv6 then that PTR is used and the remote server(s) don't even know about the IPv4 PTR. Likewise if your VPS sends email via the IPv4 then the IPv4 PTR is the only one that matters and remote server(s) have no idea that the IPv6 PTR even exists so they can't possibly interfere with each other.

[HH#309525] Please add my new domain name: mathslit.co.za
Krydos replied to HelioHost's topic in Email Support
Yes, PHP is available on all domains by default. You probably just need to click the "Dashboard" tab on your domain. By default it starts on the "Getting started" tab I believe. -
I added the solution to the locked thread for you. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully someone who has a similar issue can search and find it.
