[Solved] Why couldn't I access whm when I enter my password?
wolstech replied to robertzo's topic in Customer Service
WHM is for admins only. This is not correct. You can use https://johnny.heliohost.org:2083/ (note the 3, not 7) to log into cPanel, but you need to make sure there's nothing after the slash...if there's something after the / , it won't count for the 30 days. -
No problem. We usually recommend users with a paid domain use Namecheap, but as I said above pretty much any registrar that's not CF will work. Please keep in mind also that this restriction is not unique to us. Most if not all cPanel-based web hosts will experience this issue. CF registrar just sucks.
-
Correct. You can't get most functionality without transferring it to pretty much any registrar that's not CF. Google Domains would've worked, as would nearly any other major provider like Namecheap or GoDaddy. CF is about the only registrar we're aware of that simply cannot be made to work properly here. Even oddball services like registro.br, eu.org, and OVH can be tricked into working, but CF doesn't even have the options required because they force you to use their own DNS/CDN service.
-
You need to change it at the registrar and remove CF entirely in order for our services to work properly. You can't delegate the domains on CF, cpanel won't be able to see the name servers that way (it'll refuse to let you add them). Also, be aware that if you use it, domains purchased through Cloudflare Registrar are not supported. You can kind of cheat by creating an A record to your server's shared IP, but most features such as email, subdomains, etc. won't work with these domains since it's impossible to properly configure them.

Krydos does the VPS stuff, but my guess is this maintenance caused it: https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/42508-system-reboot/ -
Causing high server load. 557% more memory than #2 Ouch. Whatever you're running is either broken or too heavy. Please fix this quickly. If you need help identifying the cause or you get suspended again, we'll have Krydos take a look to help you fix this. Unsuspended.

Unblocked. It can take up to 15 minutes to be effective.

[Solved] I made a donation, can I go to the Tommy server

Tommy is being slow...it's still running at 14% done, I'll check it in an hour or so. -

Moving... -
That's load-related most likely. Johnny is usually too slow for it to work right because of his load. Try installing something manually and see if it works. With the load Johnny has, I question whether we should even have Softaculous on that server. It rarely works except for small scripts.
-
Yes. Try changing your cPanel password. That usually fixes issues with phpmyadmin not logging in.
-
Have you tried changing your cpanel password?
-
That's probably a good thing actually... Wordpress almost always gets users suspended for load due to how badly its written, and is also the leading cause of hacked accounts and accidental bans. Just about any other program is better.
-
The message in that email is actually incorrect. The account was disabled because the server you're on is being rebuilt. The account will be restored automatically when that process is complete (usually takes a week or so). In the meantime, if you want your account sooner, you can either sign up again at midnight on one of the other servers, or you can donate and I'll restore the account on Tommy.
-
It looks like it failed. I responded in your other topic and escalated that one as well.

[Solved] Queued: gekigek9 (transfer failure)
wolstech replied to gekigek9's topic in Escalated Requests
That's ... weird. Your account's domain and email are blank in the admin tools, and the account doesn't exist in WHM at all. The transfer appears to have failed. Let's have Krydos look at it... -
[Solved] move to tommy please just made payment
wolstech replied to sacredstarfamily's topic in Customer Service
For others who find this, whenever you switch servers (which involves deleting and restoring your account, even when done by donation, you just don't see it) or do anything else that involves creating a new domain, it can take up to 24 hours before the SSL works on the domain. It's usually much faster, but not always. AutoSSL has to run and then Apache has to restart before the certificates will be valid. -
Krydos can move this for you

[Solved] My account keeps shutting for inactivity, over and over
wolstech replied to esn024's topic in Customer Service
It's because the server is evacuating itself for a rebuild. https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/42387-ricky-to-be-upgraded/?p=183545&do=findComment&comment=183545 Servers usually undergo a rebuild once every 2 or 3 years. Your account is going to be offline while the server is out for rebuild (last time around it was 8 days), and should automatically unarchive itself when the rebuild finishes. -
Yep, those notices and the forced inactive state is because the server is in the middle of evacuating itself for a rebuild. Considering you're a donor, why are you on Ricky? You're welcome to a Tommy account.
-
The rebuild has begun and all Ricky accounts are being marked inactive in preparation for archiving and rebuild. Users may receive an email advising them that their account has gone inactive. There is no need to renew your account. If you do, it will go inactive again within an hour. The accounts will soon be archived so the old Ricky server can be decommissioned and the new one can be built.
