Well now we are getting somewhere by removing the 500 error. I can now see your directory contents and your wordpress site in the folder "wp" loads fine, meaning it isn't an issue with Apache. I am not certain if DLL files are disabled on HelioHost's servers. If they are and your aspx pages are loading these DLLs, perhaps this is what is causing the 404? I know for certain including/loading files through URL is not permitted for security reasons. I'm sorry I am not familiar with ASP so I can't tell you exactly what the problem might be.

Do you use frontpage?

When accessing cntn03.com I got the account queued message. Have you tried using http://mail.cntn03.com? It should have already been created by cPanel

No, it shouldn't. The only error I could think of would be if $_POST['username'] isn't set. -

It sounds like the script you are using is too elaborate. Is it possible to break it up into smaller scripts? -

Python should already be installed and enabled, you just need to upload your files. -
Why Does My Directory Come Up On A Browser?

@medreda I received a 500 error upon viewing your site. Are your .htaccess files configured correctly? -
How did you originally create the user?
-
Try removing all .htaccess files from your site. Hopefully this eliminates the 500 error. Then we can have a look to determine the 404

Doe it give a page name, or is it blank? Yes, please post your domain name, username and server (Stevie/Johnny)

Hello, I am back after about a year of not signing into the forums (I would still occasionally read it), and have noticed huge amounts of change in HelioHost that I wish to inquire about. A few years ago before Twitter and Facebook rose to fame, if there was a problem an administrator would post a notice in the news. The administrators would collaborate to fix the issue, and the adventurous users paying attention to the forum would investigate to see if they could dig up any more useful information. Users would help other users way before an admin could respond, and the admins would point out useful bits of information. Despite there being thousands of users, HelioHost felt like a small village. Here we are now, with Facebook and Twitter ruling the world. Every company, regardless of size feels it is a requirement to be on these social media sites. They have to have a "professional" look and feel to them and please everyone. Even HelioHost has gone this direction, solving more problems on Facebook and Twitter than you probably do in these forums. It's not professional, it's buttoned up. What happened to the HelioHost that stood by the values of its administrators? What happened to the HelioHost where an actual person would post the news, not a bot-like mask account? I used to think HelioHost was like the farmer down the street. Now HelioHost has developed a corporate feel where the only reason someone will help you is to make themselves look good. Where did all the adventuresome users go? What happened to those who didn't care if they were an admin or not? You don't have to be an administrator to share your knowledge! Sure, people's situations change and they have to move on, but someone else can take over. Now the only user I see helping is anush. Thanks to HelioHost's corporate feel, users don't feel they can trust other users to help. It has to come from an administrator. An administrator who already has hundreds of other things to take care of. Before posting this, I read that pentester has returned. Welcome back! I have also returned and will begin helping after I catch up on some reading. In summary: I would like to see HelioHost retain some of its old characteristics while it continues to grow. I would like to see the administrators return to a more personal service and not hid behind the mask of a bot account. I would like to see user assistance encouraged, accepted and provided. I understand not everyone has the knowledge or time, but for those of us who are willing to help I encourage you to step up! The best way for users to help is by answering questions on the forums. Of course that would be useless if the forums aren't designated as the main place for support and strongly promoted as such a place... If someone has a different point of view on this situation, please share it. Perhaps I am entirely wrong and HelioHost hasn't changed at all. Any opinions are welcome, I want to know what others think.

An A record is only for IP addresses and CNAME records for other domain names. Your record for your travel subdomain needs to be an A record, not CNAME.

I would recommend using at least HTML4 <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

Wordpress Blog Hacked By Rea_Perz
Ice IT Support replied to Fledgeling's topic in Website Management and Coding
I think this is the perfect place to post this kind of topic. I had the same problem once. Someone replaced my index page with their own. I simply re-uploaded my backup index page and all is well. Re-installing Wordpress is a great idea. Your recovery plan will work for this situation. A few years ago Stevie or Johnny (I can't remember which one, maybe both) was attacked and anything with the word "index" was replaced/deleted. That is when you should become very, very worried. But that situation was a server-wide issue, therefore it was a customer support issue. This hasn't happened for at least one year and I trust HelioHost is protected enough to prevent this. Best wishes recovering your site! -
My site is up too

Stevie currently has a DNS issue that needs to be examined by the administrators. Your account is fine.
-
I can confirm this is a DNS issue. Not certain what caused it though...

The port for MySQL is the default 3306. To enable remote MySQL, use this: http://wiki.helionet.org/MySQL_Databases#Connecting_Remotely The username, password and database is what you set when you run the MySQL Database Wizard

cPanel automatically creates DNS entries fro matchfire.org AND www.matchfire.org. Unless you specifically change them in the DNS zone editor in cPanel, bot will point to the same site.
-
The admins will have to work with this. If I remember correctly, it is a cPanel/ account configuration error.
