You would install your application to the directory your subdomain points to. For example, if cow.com is hosted at /home/cow/public_html and fred.cow.com is hosted at /home/cow/public_html/fred, you would tell Softaculous to install your application in /home/cow/public_html/fred. -

A local database is usually fastest and recommended for most applications. However, some people have external applications that access their databases. In those cases it's a better idea to have an externally (preferably cloud) hosted database, so in the event HelioHost should have a service interruption, your external applications are still functional.

It looks to me that you are simply missing a forwarder for mail@illegalknowledge.com to illegalknowledge@yahoo.com. Go ahead and add it. If that doesn't solve the issue, or you have already set a forwarder, please post a screenshot of your forwarders page.- 11 replies

The domain your certificate protects depends on the certificate you buy. A typical certificate only protects one domain (or subdomain). When you setup SSL for a domain, you have the option to use http:// or https://. Your domain is not automatically redirected to https://, so you will have to do that manually. Yes, you should definitely use SSL for a social media site.

The best way to "reset" your account is to delete it at http://heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/delete and then sign up using http://heliohost.org/home/signup . If you think it is just within public_html, you can delete and re-create that folder. -

areadancefm.heliohost.org is showing HELLO WORLD. areadancefm.com appears to be set to CloudFlare. Check your CloudFlare settings. -

I think you might have to create a physical mail@domain.tld inbox for this to work. In cPanel, on the forwarders page, select the Trace function for one of the forwarders. Let's use mail@illegalknowledge.com as an example. Post what it returns here.- 11 replies

I often have trouble with my .tk domains, sometimes they take a week simply for the NS records to set so I can park them in cPanel. The best we can do is wait. You'll know it works when this page http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/tools/dns_records.php?domain=amalghosh.tk&rec=ALL doesn't take forever to load and returns something other than a blank page.
