  1. Here is the second video in our Minecraft series. This video documents how to set up a modded Minecraft server on a HelioHost VPS. https://youtu.be/Fgmzvrtu7sA We are going to try to continue releasing new videos every 2 weeks, because some users find it much easier to follow a video guide rather than reading the text guides we have at https://wiki.helionet.org/ Please let us know if there is a specific topic that you think would be good for our next video. Also if you don't mind subscribing to our YouTube channel that would be a great way to get some free advertising. We are a small non-profit funded by donations so we don't have a huge budget to afford paid advertising, so the more word of mouth recommendations, the more social media likes, and the more subscribes we can get goes a long ways towards finding more users and continuing to grow. Even if you can't donate, this is a great way to help us for free. Thanks!

  3. The export laws do apply to software. I know with cPanel, since that company is headquartered in the US, therefore US export laws applied to us providing access to their software that we were running. Even though the software never leaves our US based servers, allowing people from countries that the government of the country of origin of the software decides if it can be "exported" even if there is no money changing hands, such as free hosting. Plesk is headquartered in Canada so I would assume it is Canadian export laws that would decide whether Syrians can use Plesk or not. Canada has also eased sanctions on Syria starting in March of this year, so I think Canada would be ok with us "exporting" their software to Syria. Plus there is precedent of other Syrian websites and webhosting companies are already using Plesk. The Canadian general permit is valid until August 25th of this year, and it may or not be renewed at that time. Likewise, the US agreement tentatively ends on December 2nd, but could be revoked at any time. Yep, definitely. Sure, but if either Canada, the origin of some of our software, or the US, the origin of our hardware, changes the rules again we will need to suspend all Syrian accounts immediately. You should be able to create an account now.
  4. Yeah, it's good that you told us first. When people login to multiple accounts they tend to get suspended because you're only allowed to have one account. If your client wants to grant you access to login to their account they can let us know from their own email address, and then you can give us support requests for either account.
  5. The requested modules have been installed. You can see the list of installed modules and their versions for Johnny's Python 3.12 at https://krydos2.heliohost.org/pyinfo/info3.12.py In the future if you request additional modules, please make sure you check this list and don't request modules that are already installed.
  6. Your VPS has been powered on, your old broken subscription has been canceled, and your new subscription has been linked to your VPS. Thanks for making a payment.
  7. Welcome back! Go ahead and sign up for a new account at https://heliohost.org/morty/ Once your account is created let us know your new username and we can apply the 5000 MB storage to it.
  8. Virtual environments for Flask don't work on Morty, Tommy, or Johnny. So you have a few options: Use Python CGI instead of Flask. CGI can use a virtual environment on Morty, Tommy, and Johnny. Use Flask and request the modules you need installed globally. Switch to a VPS plan where you have root SSH access to create as many virtual environments as you want. https://heliohost.org/vps/

  10. Does your website use Flask or Django?
  11. What are you planning on using the virtual environment for? Not sure how it got marked as solved. Maybe the solved button got clicked instead of the escalate.
  12. Yes, social networks are fine. Like the signup page says https://heliohost.org/signup/ You can have short bursts of 100% CPU, but if it's just pegged at 100% for hours we're going to have to have a talk.
  13. I just realized the donation email matches the account mgunlock, not the account diarykely. Which account did you want moved?
  14. Your account has been moved to Morty, and I gave you a $12 Morty balance for the $10 payment. It can take a few hours for the DNS to update. You will get an email when the entire process is finished.
  15. Here's what heliohost.org sitemap.xml looks like <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <urlset xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9 http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9/sitemap.xsd"> <url> <loc>https://heliohost.org/</loc> <changefreq>weekly</changefreq> </url> ... </urlset> Seems to be recognized by Google just fine.
  16. Never tried it before, but I created a file named /home/paginaweb.helioho.st/error_docs/504.html and configured Nginx to use that instead of the default. Feel free to edit it if you want. Let us know if it works.
  17. One of the most common questions we get is "Can I run a Minecraft server on HelioHost?" The answer is yes, and we've made a video tutorial on how to get started. https://youtu.be/JAXDD7VYHUk We are going to try to continue releasing new videos every 2 weeks, because some users find it much easier to follow a video guide rather than reading the text guides we have at https://wiki.helionet.org/ Please let us know if there is a specific topic that you think would be good for our next video. 18. In the US giving out a routing number and an account number means you can withdraw from the account just as easily as deposit. Then if someone withdraws from our account we would have to contact our bank and report it as fraud and it would be up to the bank to try to recover the money or not. If we don't notice the withdrawal fast enough it may not be recoverable as well. We do have a Stripe account which allows people to pay with e-check which is basically you giving Stripe your routing number and account number, and then Stripe withdraws the amount and sends it to us. The fees on that are extremely low though, but it takes 2 to 14 days to verify the payment. With the Tommy invites the goal is to allow the person to create their account instantly and get their website working as quickly as possible, so most people aren't going to want to wait 14 days to get their account. We had one person buy a $21.60 VPS and the fees with e-check were $0.17. That's only 0.7% fee compared to 52% fee on a $1 PayPal transaction.
  19. You could try posting on their forum.
  20. I took a look at it too, and it's very bizarre. Even on the PayPal website your subscription doesn't have an email attached to it somehow, even though every single other subscription we've ever done has had an email address. The payment itself has an email though. Thanks for letting us know. We may have to adjust our website code to handle this situation if it ever occurs again. For now it looks like a fluke though.
  21. You can create the UX folder and move everything to it, but the problem is you didn't move things you just copied them. When you copy a file it leaves the original where it was, and you end up with 2 of every file and it uses double the space. If you move a file it removes the original file and you end up using the same space before and after the move. Can you login now?
  22. You can reactivate your account yourself at https://heliohost.org/dashboard/storage/ or tell us what to delete. I took a look around and didn't see anything obvious to delete, but I did notice that httpdocs/UX root@tommy [/home/gmpintus.helioho.st/httpdocs/UX]# ls 'Aulas 2019 Bootstrap.zip' desktop.ini scripts _notes favicon-16x16.png site.webmanifest android-chrome-192x192.png favicon-32x32.png sitemap.html android-chrome-512x512.png favicon-old.ico sitemap.txt apple-touch-icon.png favicon.ico sitemap.xml archive google0ceedb67767e8d75.html 'slide gallery 2.js' assets google8e9fdfe4817222e5.html 'slide gallery.html' cgi-bin images 'slide gallery.js' contact-form-handler.php index.html 'slide gallery2.html' contact-form-thank-you.html index2.html 'slide gallery3.html' contact-form.html 'lightbox test.html' styles.css cssbox.css main.js styles2.css curso-de-ingles.html old-index.html validation curso-de-italiano.html robots.txt vantagens.html Appears to just be the same as httpdocs root@tommy [/home/gmpintus.helioho.st/httpdocs]# ls 'Aulas 2019 Bootstrap.zip' favicon-16x16.png robots.txt UX favicon-32x32.png scripts android-chrome-192x192.png favicon-old.ico site.webmanifest android-chrome-512x512.png favicon.ico sitemap.html apple-touch-icon.png gmpAcademy sitemap.txt archive google0ceedb67767e8d75.html sitemap.xml assets google8e9fdfe4817222e5.html 'slide gallery 2.js' cgi-bin images 'slide gallery.html' contact-form-handler.php index.html 'slide gallery.js' contact-form-thank-you.html index2.html 'slide gallery2.html' contact-form.html 'lightbox test.html' 'slide gallery3.html' cssbox.css main.js styles.css curso-de-ingles.html old-index.html styles2.css curso-de-italiano.html professorparticular validation desktop.ini professorparticular.info vantagens.html
  23. Yep. Does it accomplish what you're trying to do?
  24. It looks like it is a known issue in Plesk that hasn't been fixed yet https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/13302844000663-Plesk-Email-Security-extension-blocklist-does-not-work Have you tried using the filters in Roundcube?
