[Solved] VPS Subscription Renewal (and Morty Account top up)
Krydos replied to msbsurfi's topic in Escalated Requests
I took a look at Stripe and your subscription is still active, and it should bill $21.60 automatically on August 14th. If it fails for some reason we'll contact you and you can set up a new subscription. Here is the link to make a Stripe payment of $5 towards your Morty account. https://buy.stripe.com/7sI8wOe4p40y9q0147 -
Installed. You can see the current list of installed modules and their versions for Johnny's Python 3.12 at https://krydos2.heliohost.org/pyinfo/info3.12.py

There are supposed to be about 1300 binary executables in /bin for example. On your VPS there are only 19 left. Seems something deleted most of them, which decimated your operating system rendering your VPS unusable. I looked around a bit, but didn't see any obvious signs of being hacked, so not sure what happened. It's possible some code went haywire and deleted the wrong thing if you were running it as root. This is why it's always recommended to run software, even software you wrote yourself, as a user with limitations, not root.

If you're in the market for a new domain, we do have an affiliate program with Namecheap. Right now, you can get a .com for only $6.49 using the code NEWCOM649 and we will get $1.28 from the sale. For instance here is an available o1mark1.com https://heliohost.org/partners/namecheap/ You might have to disable your ad blocker (if you use one) because they tend to block affiliate links. If you get a cheap domain that is only about $1 we would still get about $0.23 for you using the affiliate link. It's not much for a single sale, but as you can imagine if thousands of people buy their domains with our affiliate link it starts to add up.

We don't add sub-subdomains to the default vps## domains. That's why I suggested something without vps35 in it.
-
The two domains have been created and are pointed at your VPS.

How about the domain adguard.heliohost.us or adguard.helioho.st? Cloudflare doesn't recognize our subdomains as being owned by different people so you can't put them all on different Cloudflare accounts. As soon as someone convinces Cloudflare that domain1.heliohost.us is owned by person1 and domain2.heliohost.us is owned by person2 then it will work.

[Krydos] Adding a domain to my heliohost account
Krydos replied to tabbythrowaway's topic in Escalated Requests
There is no exception for tabbygarf.club. The reason it doesn't get disabled is because you have your MX record set to tommy.heliohost.org. It looks like the new domain doesn't have an MX record yet, so it would get disabled unless you fix that. -
This was already handled here Marking this topic as solved. Let us know if you need help with anything else.

[Solved] Request to enable remote PostgreSQL access for my IP
Krydos replied to fitulus's topic in Escalated Requests
No problem. Glad you find our customer support to be high quality. We volunteer for HelioHost because we enjoy helping people, such as yourself. You may randomly receive an email asking you to rate our service soon. We would be really happy if you could click the link in the email to give us a 5 star review. It will only take you a couple minutes to write a sentence or two about your support request today, and it goes a long way to help us out. We recommend waiting for the the link to be emailed to you because 5 star reviews that don’t click the email link pretty much all get deleted. Our volunteers don't get paid in money because we are a non-profit, but our volunteers do get paid in smiles whenever someone lets us know they appreciate our work by giving a 5 star review. Thanks again! -

When I click this link it shows 10/10 for me. Is it showing 7/10 for you still?
-
Does it work now?
-
Yes, your account can be unsuspended as soon as you answer this.
-
Try testing now. Thanks!

Yep, it worked. Your account is moving to Tommy. Thanks for the donation. I also noticed that you randomly received a review email. We would be really happy if you could click the link in the email to give us a 5 star review. The unit is seconds. Each user can have 10 simultaneous queries running at once. So if you start 10 queries that all take 10 seconds to finish your MariaDB load number would be 100 over 10 real life seconds. What are you going to do to reduce your MariaDB load?
