The admin who maintained that site was hit by hurricane Sandy, and he survived but we haven't seen him too much since then. I was kind of figuring it'd be best for him to update the links and his site since it doesn't belong to me and it was a project he took on himself, but that co.cc thing has been down for quite a while. I poked around on his account and I think this http://cl58.tk/services/heliohost/v2/faq.html is the newest version of the FAQ. I fixed the link on this page http://wiki.helionet.org/Terms Let us know if you find anymore broken links. Plus if you get 20 posts and are a member of Helionet for two weeks or more you could request wiki access http://www.helionet.org/index/forum/79-wiki-access-requests/ and edit the wiki pages yourself. Welcome to Heliohost. That perl cgi should work just fine, but cgi in general can be kind of touchy to get working the first time because all the permissions and file encoding and syntax all has to be perfect. If you can't figure it out feel free to post and we can help you. Chat can be kind of dead sometimes especially in the middle of the night, but since Heliohost is a community more than a company it means that users are here to help other users. A lot of people ask really simple common questions, and it doesn't take much hosting or even computer knowledge to help them. The more users help out with the easy questions the more time it will free up for the admins to work on bigger issues or roll out new features. All of the Heliohost staff started out exactly like you are now, and when we notice how helpful certain people are we sometimes offer them promotions so they can be more helpful.

You can and should do #3 on your link. This is something you can do yourself for each domain you own that you intend to send email from. Here's a link to get you started: http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/frontend/x3/zoneedit/advanced.html Then select your domain (if you have more than one), select TXT from the drop down box and enter your values. It might not solve your gmail issues, but it won't hurt.

The other thread wasn't closed prematurely. ICE IT unsuspended your account, and it was active and working fine for roughly 36 hours. The reason it's suspended now is because you never logged in while it was active, and when a staff member unsuspends an account it doesn't count as your 30 day login so then it got suspended again, but this time for inactivity which you can fix yourself. Also, the way topics getting closed on the forums works is if it's flagged as [solved] the thread stays open for 48 hours for users to add additional information to the thread or report that it isn't actually solved after all. If there are no new posts for 48 hours then the thread is closed to keep the forum clean and tidy. If someone posts on a solved thread every 48 hours or less it can stay open forever. Your account was suspended for inactivity. To reactivate your account, please visit http://www.heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/renew. If you are still seeing the Account Suspended page after renewing your account, please clear your cache.

Your account has been manually unsuspended. If you still see the suspended page then you should try clearing your browsers cache.

The account reedreed has been unsuspended. Only one account can be unsuspended at a time. If you wish we can email a link to download a backup of the suspended accounts so you can combine them into one account, or we can unsuspend the accounts one at a time so you can make your own backups but only one account will be unsuspended at a time. Her account looks remarkably similar to your accounts but that's just my opinion I guess, and you've been more honest than most people are about everything else so far, so she can keep her account too. Have her create a forum account and request the unsuspension on the new forum account though so we have a record of it please.

http://www.heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/domain Make sure the domain you are changing to is fully deleted from your account before you hit submit though or it won't work. If you've never added your new main domain as an addon or parked you don't have to delete anything though.

There is no numerical value for what is too much load unfortunately (and fortunately in some ways.) Basically, if MySQL is no longer performing up to a certain standard the cause is determined. If the cause is abuse by users the highest MySQL load user is suspended first, and then the second and so on down the line until MySQL is once again performing within the parameters. Since this is a shared host we have our settings tuned to favour many small fast queries. If your queries are huge and complex and take a long time to execute you have a higher chance of being suspended for them. Also if you forget to close your MySQL connections or use persistent connections you have a much higher chance of being suspended. Furthermore, if your account is located on Stevie you have a much higher chance of being suspended as the normal operating parameters on Stevie are tighter, and we let Johnny users go a lot crazier before they earn themselves a suspension. This can sometimes lead to load spikes and downtime on Johnny, but we figure it's best to offer one fast, stable server (Stevie) and one server with a lot more freedom to experiment and a lot more freedom from suspensions (Johnny). That way users can choose which they would rather have. Some other hosts have a set limit of how much load each account can cause before they are suspended. This policy can sometimes lead to unnecessary suspensions in my opinion though, because as long as it doesn't negatively affect the performance of the server as a whole who cares if some number is higher than another number? We allow our users to do whatever until it starts to affect the other users on the server.

Not from us you can't. If you want to have a dedicated IP address on your account you need to send $12 USD to admin@heliohost.org paypal account. If you can find someone who will give us free IP addresses then we can give them to users for free, but since we get charged $12 per IP we have to pass the cost along to the person who wants it. We make no money from providing dedicated IP addresses.

What browser are you using, and have you tried using a different one? http://drupal.org/node/481758#comment-5519734 Also, since you're using drupal 7.19 anyways, have you tried using softaculous to install drupal 7.19 and then install the drupal theme once you have a working install?

The transaction ID isn't really necessary, but knowing your Heliohost username so we know which account to grant the dedicated IP to is. Also, it can take a few days for the payment to go through depending on the banks involved and paypal. Once the transaction is finalized you will receive your dedicated IP address.

Source: http://www.heliohost.org/home/signup/stevie and http://www.heliohost.org/home/signup/johnny It's bright red, right below the terms of service, and right above the create account button. If you can think of a more obvious way to let people know that only one account is allowed we're open to suggestions. I don't really understand what is so unfortunate about it. With unlimited addon domains, unlimited parked domains, unlimited databases, unlimited bandwidth, and unlimited ftp accounts you can host as many different websites as you can fit into your 500 MB. Your accounts use 62 MB, 384 KB, 360k, and 8.2 MB so it's not like you made multiple accounts to get around our only real limit: disk space. Like I alluded to in my previous paragraph, I don't see why you can't host all of your websites on your one account. You're welcome to the data from all of your accounts, but you're only allowed to have one account unsuspended at a time. If you want us to unsuspend one so you can make a backup of the data, and then unsuspend the next just let us know. If you'd prefer a link to the backup emailed to the contact email address of each account I could do that for you too. The account rdmtcmi has been unsuspended.

I don't really know what you mean by "gets full" because as long as your error_log doesn't fill your whole 500 MB quota it's not really full. You could write a script in php or whatever scripting language you're most comfortable with to connect to a remote FTP server, upload the error_log, and the clear the error_log on your account. Then just call it via a cron job once every 24 hours or however long it takes to "get full." You could also fix the errors that are being logged into the file too. That way it would never get full.

To create new email address or manage your existing email addresses log in to cPanel at http://heliohost.org/ and then click the Email Addresses link. If you want to log into a specific email account through web mail without logging into cPanel you can also use this link http://johnny.heliohost.org:2095/ The username is the email address and the password for that address.

Your account was resuspended for failure to take care of the malware problem during your allotted 24 hour period. The offending files have been deleted, and your account has been manually unsuspended. If you still see the suspended page then you should try clearing your browsers cache.

Your IP was blocked on February 8th for suspicious numbers of FTP connections. 222 connections before it was blocked on the 8th. 284 connections on the 7th. 282 connections on the 6th. 287 connections on the 5th. 281 connections on the 4th, and so on. Recently we've seen a large number of bots trying to brute force their way into accounts on our systems, and your IP seems to have been caught up in our response to those attacks. Your IP address has been unblocked, and you should now be able to connect to your account normally. It sounds like you have something automatically uploading with about 300 FTP connections per day, and glancing at your website I'm guessing it's weather data? If this is correct I can whitelist your account to prevent this from happening again.

[Solved] Changing Domain Name - Unchanged After 4 Days
Krydos replied to diabolicfreak's topic in Customer Service
Have you tried changing your main domain again since you deleted the addon domain? When you log into cPanel on the top of the stats section on the left side of of the screen it will show your current main domain, and if the main domain change goes through it will instantly show up there for you to verify that it worked. Let us know if you're still having problems changing your main domain. Oh, and by the way, your username isn't diabolicfreak.
