[Solved] Renew SSL Certificate for daskunk.heliohost.org
Krydos replied to daskunk's topic in Escalated Requests
This is what I use on windows. https://github.com/do-know/Crypt-LE/releases You just run the le64.exe program on the command line and then use SFTP to copy/paste in the text for the file it gives you. It's fairly easy and you can use it forever for free. -

No, your hosting account on Johnny should be working the same as it ever has minus the ability to log in to cPanel, and email probably doesn't work either. If you're having trouble please start a new post in customer service rather than this news post.

I have been. I trained up Yash as a VPS admin so I wouldn't be the only person handling all the VPS stuff. Opening volunteer positions actually take more of my time up front because I have to do all the work plus I have to do the work of training someone new, but in the long run it ends up being less work for me once they're fully trained.

If you can't do a subscription you can still make a one-time payment for a VPS, but you have to do a 6 month plan instead of a month to month plan. The good news is you also get a 10% discount for paying for 6 months up front so it ends up being $3.60 per month instead of $4.00 for the Mercury VPS. The reason we can't do one-time payments for only a month is it's a lot of extra work for the staff to have to manually verify payments, and I don't want to have to manually verify 80+ payments each month. If you're able to do a subscription then it is zero work for our staff because the system automatically updates the expiration date each month. If this sounds good to you go to https://paypal.me/heliohost and then click Send and type in $21.60, and once the transaction goes through post the transaction ID here.

Personal medical issues plus my dad nearly dying in a car crash have delayed the process a bit. I'm still working on it though. Both my dad and I are doing fine, but dealing with all this is taking up most of my free time right now. I hope to have more free time when my dad can drive himself around in a week or so, and isn't on so many pain medications, and doesn't need to see so many doctors, etc. Thanks for checking in, and not giving up.

[Solved] Mars VPS does not support AVX2 CPU instructions
Krydos replied to Mahani's topic in Escalated Requests
Yeah, none of our servers have a CPU that will support AVX2. Your VPS is on Lucie now, but even if we moved you to Sparkie it wouldn't change anything. -

Thanks for the donation. The reason it didn't show up automatically was because your paypal email address has +paypal added to it. There you go https://www.heliohost.org/eta/?u=jbbdude

The last time you logged in was 2021-05-10 so your account was archived before our licenses were even revoked. You can download your backup from https://www.heliohost.org/backup/ Archived accounts won't automatically be transferred to Plesk. That's why your account isn't listed on the ETA page. You can download your backup, create a new account once Plesk is ready, and then restore your backup to your new account. If you're interested in recreating your account sooner it is possible to donate to get an earlier invite to create an account. You can get an idea of what each donation level will get you by looking at this user's ETA https://www.heliohost.org/eta/?u=rli The reason the ETA page doesn't list archived or suspended accounts is because they will not be transferred to Plesk automatically so there is no ETA for them. I have periodic database backups that I reference for these old accounts to find out what happened to them after they are deleted from the main database. For some reason the cliffm account wasn't added to the backup system, but I managed to find a copy of the archive hiding somewhere and added it manually. DM me on Discord if you want to know where the database backups are located and how to search them, otherwise you can just escalate things like this to me. I did notice that the ETA page doesn't handle non-existent accounts very well. I'll take a look at the code.
