  2. Krydos is correct- the early funding was from djbob, but HelioHost is now self-sustaining (plus some funds in the bank). In case you are skeptical, there is no catch. This is professional-quality hosting for free.

  8. Just to clarify, this fee is what our parent host charges us for dedicated IPs; HelioHost does not charge for this feature to make money (in fact, we don't make any profit off of it at all). As Tjoene said, once you Paypal'ed the money to djbob, we will escalate this and djbob will grant you your dedicated IP and you can set up SSL on your site.

    jje - I set up http://www.cl58services.co.cc/#hhcontest to make it a little easier to manage entries (if you want to use it - It's entirely up to you). The admin/management interface is at http://www.cl58services.co.cc/contests/ -- use the Joomla! password.

  21. As long as the other server allows remote access, it should be fine. Where do you see that error? I'm not getting it.
  22. PayPal shouldn't charge you any fees to use. You can use a debit card to directly take the funds out of your bank account (without giving your account number to GoDaddy). Regardless, to use PayPal, you will have to give either a credit card, debit card, or bank account number to them (it's safe, don't worry).
