Naynesh I hope you get banned forever. Taxes in some places in America are descent, but in my state I am getting tired of my local govt.'s ignorance. We have to pay whats called a "civil penalty" if we get a speeding ticket. An average speeding ticket here costs $200, but now we have to pay the $1000 dollar civil penalty fine! I thought this was simply to prevent large amount of speeding, and since I live right next to a popular express way to a popular vacation spot that got used a lot. But the weird thing is that if you are not a resident of where I live (ie. a vacationer) you don't have to pay the civil penalty! I thought this was stupid as we should tax tourists as thats a huge thing around my location. This is what vegas does, they tax the casinos so their residents don't have to pay as much tax. It's a great plan and I don't see why my state doesn't follow it. Joe

I really don't think we should try and "help" other countries by taking them over (as well as their oil). I'm sick of hearing about how we need to fight terrorism, and help iraq. If we wanted to help Iraq, why didn't we help them before 9/11? If were so concerned about terrorism why don't we do something about our border? If someone comes across the border armed, our army is not allowed to shoot at them! They have to retreat and call it in once they get to a safe location and by then it's way to late. Our govt. is really going down the drains in my opinion. Joe

Yes exposing corbondioxide contributes to global warming, but it is recycled by plants and trees that convert it to oxygen. The problem is that we are releasing much more carbodioxide than we would if we were just breathing. So much that the plants can't absorb it and convert it to oxygen faster than we are producing it. I know that we naturally contribute to global warming, but it's simply that we are contributing more than we naturally do. Thats what we think will speed up global warming.

So is there are federal holidays other than Christmas. Also the country was founded largely on the ideas of Thomas Paine, who happened to be an atheist. Also, by no means does god insinuate the Christian god. The statement that we are a Christian nation is just stupid, our nation is based on not being a Christian nation, or any other religious nation.

The live cd's are not just for troubleshooting, they're a convenient way to install linux as well.

I definitely think that thank that assembly is the best language to start with. (: JK, I would go with python as a first language, then to C,C++, or Java. Then take a step into assembly. Assembly is the hardest language I've run across so far, but it's also the most useful language I've run across so far.

I would say djbob hasn't been that active lately too. I haven't seen to many posts from him as well. But I have noticed that the forum has become more active than a month ago. Hopefully we will get some more regulars. To keep it active we need regulars who will come in and post often. Joe

That all global warming is, is the theory that we are speeding up the Earths natural cycle. The concern is that we might upset this process, and make it so that the graph does not go down, but rather keeps going up(or maybe keep going down). We know that we are affecting the Earths temperatures, we are just unsure how if any irreversible effects will result from it.

I bought a domain name on October 27, 2007, 8:47 pm, yet I am still unable to park the domain name. Is there some sort of issue on my part that is causing the domain name not to park, or is there some sort of delay. I am looking for some sort of explanation as I fell I have just been left in the dark. When can I expect my domain name to be ready, if ever? Joe

If enough people do it, it can contribute to global warming. Yes that is Earth's natural cycle. The concern is that we are shortening the time between cycles in a large rate. Instead of 450,00 years it may be 100,000 or 50,00 at the rate we are going. I wouldn't say 100 years, but a change in climate is closer on the horizon already due to our affect on the environment. We are not sure if we continue at the rate we are, if we will have an ice age, or simply disrupt the natural cycle the Earth goes through, and turn the Earth into a desolate planet in which is hardly habitable.

I have begun the whole evolution section in my biology class. It has created a lot of discussion on peoples beliefs, but one thing I found astonishing is that some people don't even believe that global warming is true. They think the Earth will remain the same for forever, even if we continue to use oil in the rate we are. I found this disturbing. My question is do you believe in Global Warming, and what do you think about it? Is it some big conspiracy, or should we be bundling up for the day after tomorrow?

Well I'm in my first science now, and will be taking chemistry next semester. I'm amazed at how much chemistry and biology relates though. I've seen the chemical reason for how our cell membrane, dna, etc. work. It's really cool in my opinion. Joe
