If you want to host people, you will have to buy your own server, and do something similar to what djbob has done with helionet. "just hosting" people isn't going to just happen. Joe

No you can't give other people the same kind of hosting that you receive, but if you want to go through the trouble, you could set up a subdomain for each person and put their content on it. Joe

I am starting a new site called at JProjex.com, the domain name isn't up, but you can see it on www.awsomejoe23.heliohost.org. I'm not to good with graphics, so if anyone would take a gander at the site and make a descent favicon and/or affiliates card I will be glad to pay you. All prices can be negotiated, I would start around 125 for the favicon, and 300 for a good affiliates card. If you do better than I expect I'm always willing to throw in some more for it. Joe

Most game developers make less than the average software designers. I wouldn't base your pay on the ones that make half-life two, but more on the low-income games in which you will probably be working on. I enjoy game development to however. Take a look at www.gamedev.net they have a bunch of good info on it. Joe

Yes but some look better, work more efficiently, have better user interfaces, and have more capabilities. They aren't all the same, just like computers, cars, etc. Joe

I'm not sure if this is be sheer coincidence, but my browser seems to crash randomly, and only when loading a heliohost page. I haven't had it crash on any other site at all. Is this me or is it occurring to others as well? Joe

I don't like religious schools, they indoctrinate their children as I was when I was a kid. But I can see they have an excellent English class!

I use it a lot at school, as it doesn't seem to have as many blocks.

Portal is actually a simple, quick game. You do have to be quick to think, so you might not get it the fist time, but fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me! It is a very easy game that I beat in two hours. TF2 is also a real good game which can lead to hours of enjoyment. I really haven't played the Half-life games them selves, just mods that I have found for them. (: Joe

Those are my interests in computer science as well, but I have to say, unless your programming for microsoft or mac, your not going to make any money for os development, and game development isn't all that great either. Game developers actually make less money than that of a normal software engineer.

Does anyone here have any experience in OS development? I have just recently picked it up, and I am learning assembly right now as it's very demanding of efficiency as well as space, and assembly can provide the most optimized of both of these. I've found the subject very interesting, and think it's fun to be able to write your very own OS even if is simply an image, or if you manage to allow for some sort of dos like interface. I hope someday I can make my very own GUI operating system, as that would be my ultimate goal So what do you guys think about OS development? Joe

I'm sorry but that really doesn't seem like you wrote it, more as though you copied it off someone's website. Perhaps you can provide a link to it. Also I don't believe you need all of that to protect your computer. All you have to do is stay away from the obvious porn sites, and learn about windows(as thats the os that has the problems) and check your computer yourself. You can very easily go to system processes and check what should and should not be going on. I simply suggest you switch to linux, and if that is not possible, learn to use your operating system and switch to mozilla firefox.
