If you search, you will probably find a long topic on it. Basically, this board gives djbob the option to charge a fee every time you make a withdrawal from the bank, and the credit card is an item that would allow you to make a withdrawal without being charged a fee. I have two computers in which I can connect to the internet, ones a whole lot faster as it is a somewhat newer computer, and the other is from back in the 90's.

I find that about 3/4's of the time I visit my site, I get server not found. Is this simply because the servers are overloaded, or is there some other underlying reason?

I run freebsd on my computer now, as well as windows xp. Freebsd doesn't have any driver support for my NIC so I can only get online with my xp computer. I really like freeBSD though. Joe

In a sense of religion I can not debate you. Many religious fanatics believe the world will end very shortly in some sort of apocalypse. I do, however, have to inform you that science in no way shape or form (maybe a few crazies) think the world will end in the next ten years. Yellowstone national park is a real super volcanoes but it would not even affect the entire United States directly, let alone destroy the entire world. We do have some disasters that very possible, but so far none of them would destroy the world.

It's a horrible load time indeed, but you have to keep in mind it's a free service. It usually loads real slow during common times of which lots of people are on.

Well I used to think the same thing, but after a long bit of thought, I came to think they would be quite different to us. We really take "normal" as a relative term. We are accustomed to the things that have been invented in the past. All of those things are based on things invented before that. I bet that they have technology that is totally different than ours. For example we found steel, and then began to use it to support massive forces. We don't think of anything else, what if they never discovered steel, but instead discovered a different material, that withstood massive forces, yet had different properties. Then their technology would branch off from ours at that simple point. Who knows how many different paths we could have taken.

Wow, I didn't realize at first that you just necromanced this topic, next time make your own. Second, how did you get the 5000 helions to get the domain name? Are you sure you didn't just sign up for free hosting? What's your hosting account? If you really did manage to get a domain name, I meant for you to go to the cpanel and get the error that comes up when you try and park the domain to the server, not the message you get from your browser when you try to go to the domain name. When I click on it I get the following error: 2082ERROR: Script not called from cPanel.

This happens when Helionet's server's are overloaded. Hopefully djbob will be able to upgrade the servers some time soon.

I would look into php or javascript. From what you are saying it sounds like you are going to have the person directed to a page depending on their answer, where is this is not what you want. You want to edit the page based on their answer. Joe
