  1. Back up to ~375. Johnny stopped creating new accounts again for a while, but it should be counting down again now.
  2. It's either your account is deleted or you gave the wrong account name, but aamsur2 does not exist in the database. Yes, you can create a new account if you wish and restore your backup onto the new account to restore your website. Just make sure you log in to cPanel at least once every thirty days to prevent your account from being deleted again. If you don't have a backup of your site there is nothing that can be done other than starting over because once an account is deleted there are no remaining traces on our servers.
  3. Glad you got your questions answered. Please spare 2 minutes to fill in our quick survey: Official Heliohost User Feedback Survey Your participation in this survey will help us provide better service.
  4. I'm getting: Database error The database has encountered a problem. Please try the following: Load the page again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser. Open the sioui.heliohost.org home page, then try to open another page. Click the Back button to try another link. The sioui.heliohost.org forum technical staff have been notified of the error, though you may contact them if the problem persists. We apologise for any inconvenience.
  5. I, and maybe byron too, were thinking that it looked like a code error connecting to the database, or maybe the database was changed and no longer works with the code.
  6. He knows, because he did: http://www.helionet.org/index/index.php?showtopic=9736 It just didn't take.
  7. The reason you were unable to create a new account on Stevie is because there were still remnants of your Johnny account in the database. I am manually deleting those remnants and the process should be complete in a few minutes. Ok. The deletion has finished and you should now be able to create a new account on stevie. As of the time of this post signups are still available on stevie for the day. You can monitor if signups are available with this tool http://heliohost.uni.cc/sign-up.php

  10. Glad to hear that everything worked out for you.
  11. There are about 550 accounts in the queue and counting down.
  12. You domain has been manually unsuspended and should be functioning properly again. If you still see the suspension message when trying to view your website be sure to clear your browser cache. http://wiki.heliohost.org/wiki/Clear_your_cache
  13. But you were claiming stevie cpanel was down...
  14. Yes there is. If you try to create a new account with the same username as you are currently using and it hasn't deleted yet it will give an error saying that account name is already in use. You can also ask an admin if your account is fully deleted. As of the timestamp of this post your account is still active, and hasn't yet been queued for deletion. If you do decide to switch servers don't forget to back up everything on your current account first. There is no recovery once the account is deleted.
  15. I think this is supposed to be 2,500 users out of 18,000 accounts us co.cc Zeros can make a bit of a difference: If my boss had hired me for $100,000 a year and then gave me $10,000 for the year I would be a tad angry. "But I just subtracted zero!"
  16. Moved to Questions since this isn't a Customer Service issue.
  17. Wow, that will definitely affect a lot of HelioHost users. Thanks for mentioning it. Here I was just this morning watching the news and laughing about China censoring all movies other than their new communist propaganda flick http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1699513/and now google is censoring 11 million websites from showing up in search results? So much for Google's corporate motto I guess... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don't_be_evil
  18. Feel free to let us know what would make the wiki easier to find, easier to search, easier to understand, if there are any articles that seem to be missing, keywords that are missing from current articles, or anything else if you come across anything that seems strange, and we'll gladly take your input. These tools and all the work that has been put into them are only useful if HelioHost users can find them to use them and can understand them.
  19. http://wiki.heliohost.org/wiki/Moving_your_account Also, the reason the wiki exists is so that users can answer simple, commonly-asked questions themselves and reduce the amount of time admins have to spend answering the same questions over and over each day.
  20. Just to refresh your memory this is the statement you agreed to when you created your account on Johnny.
  21. Yeah, the edit drop down box, and the options drop down box, and the hover over the username drop down box and everything else seems to all be functioning again. It wasn't really a problem. Just thought I'd give the new toolbar a few days to get all the kinks worked out before I mentioned it.
  22. People ask for more space quite often, but I've never really understood why. If you don't mind my asking what exactly does everyone do with all their storage space? 250mb is a whole lot if you just have html and php and other text code. It's 500 images if you scale each image to 500k each (which I still think is pretty humongous for online.) It's almost an hour of CD quality streaming audio, and you could even fit some decent streaming videos into that space easily. I guess maybe my confusion comes from the fact that there are so many better places to host giant files like that, sourceforge, youtube, flickr, etc. I find heliohost amazing because it can host all of my web programs which are just basically text and for me 250mb of text is nearly infinite. By the way, this is all coming from someone who equally doesn't understand why my gmail offers like 8 gigs of storage when I use maybe 10mb of it. However, if heliohost was a remote backup solution I would totally agree that 250mb was next to nothing. I understand that this might be a fairly personal question, and if you don't wish to disclose what you host on your site feel free to just ignore me. I've just gotten rather curious after reading several hundred requests for more storage space.
  23. ...unless you need asp.net, or ruby on rails, or etc etc.
  24. The quick edit option has also been missing since then. It used to be when you clicked 'edit' it would open a little drop down menu with 'quick edit' and 'full edit'. It disappeared at the same time that the bottom menu bar was added I think. There must be some conflict between having them both running at the same time. Really not that big of a deal though.
  25. Thanks for the tip. I knew about those, but I hadn't thought about it as a solution. I'll keep that in mind if I ever come across a situation where I care if people are reading my code again.
