  2. TL;DR: How should one follow through with additional CSRs created via Plesk when submitting them to CAs? Webroot seems to be unavailable due to nginx blocking access to /.well-known/acme-challenge. Hey! I apologize if this question has been asked before in the forums, but I could not find a proper answer to what I've been looking for after a day or two of messing around with things. I would like to know what would be the correct way to get a CSR emitted via Plesk to be signed from a CA like Let's Encrypt. After looking through the wiki, I found out that we're using SSL It! to automatically generate SSL certificates for our websites, and that's great! But I'd like to issue a second certificate, separate from the one used by the website (for security reasons) for me to use on TLS authorization during connections in my applications. They currently run in my own computer (since I don't own a VPS yet), and it would be nice to be able to validate that I'm indeed connecting to the right server, which would be impossible with a self-signed certificate. Thing is, with the old cPanel (after verifying in Ashoat's old GitHub heliohost-wiki repo - Link), it was possible to create a /.well-known/acme-challenge/<requested-file> path that was publicly accessible - and therefore, would pass the webroot challenge of ACME clients like certbot. After the move to Plesk, and I assume with the advent of other changes, nginx has been set to forbid access to the acme-challenge path and throw a 403, and I'm unaware if there is a way to properly allow access to files within that path. I appreciate the time you guys put into reading this wall of text (I've put a little TL;DR up there if it ends up being a lot..), and I'm welcome to both suggestions and opinions as to what I should be doing, and most importantly: should NOT be doing 😄 - Fallbork

  4. Dear Support Team, How to setup a filter in Roundcube, that will detect and delete incoming e-mails with a ".gz" attachment? Some backgroud: I am experiencing annoying incoming fake e-mails which all have an attachments with a " *.gz " extension. I know it can be done, but how? I used Google to find answers. One solution I found is here: https://jensknipper.de/blog/roundcube-sieve-filter-attachments/ , but I do not know how to implement it. (In this solution a zip-file is mentioned; in my case it is about a gz-file.) I hope you can give me the proper instructions how to do setup a filter in Roundcube who will detect and delete incoming e-mails with a ".gz" attachment. Kindly awaiting your reply. 🙂

  10. Domain added, will take effect in about an hour and a half.
  11. Thanks! (Sorry for the delay replying-- I just logged back into my forum account.)
  12. I'd love to use the polygonal dotted line background I discovered on this site, https://ipscore.io on my website. Could you please guide me on how to do that?
  13. No problem. Thanks for reporting the issue. It was due to a bug in the code which has been fixed, and future Morty signups should work for other people now.
  14. 10 heliohost.us or helioho.st domains. If you buy a .com or whatever and use external DNS you can have as many domains as you want.
  15. I thought it might be worth talking here about some of the free public access *NIX systems that are available. These aren't the same as Heliohost, in fact their common feature is perhaps the main thing that Heliohost doesn't offer, which is shell (command line) access. They also don't generally try so hard to replicate the level of support and user friendliness of a commercial web host, like Heliohost do. All the same, many offer web hosting, and some are run by official not-for-profit organisations. SDF may be the oldest, dating back to 1987 and a 501( c )(7) non-profit organisation since 2001. Another is Grex, a non-profit dating back to 1991. Both offer web hosting, though with less storage space than Heliohost and no cPanel (administration is generally expected to be done from the shell (command line) after logging in via SSH. In recent years a lot of new services have appeared, many as part of the "Tildeverse". Tilde.club seems to be the largest, but there are a lot out there, some with only a handful of users. Here's a list. Not all offer web hosting, but many do. The exact features vary a lot, with the smaller "Tildes" generally less restrictive on the resources available to individual users. They generally aim to inspire a community spirit, sometimes following a particular philosophy. Very much on a hobby sort of level, commercial use is often discouraged/disallowed. Gopher, an internet protocol predating the web, is also often provided for a growing number of hobbyists. A list of Pubnixes is also on there: gopher://rawtext.club/1/~cmccabe/pubnixhist/ Or available via a Web-Gopher proxy. Most run flavours of Linux or BSD. Wilde is the sole Windows one, and if you're game there's even one running the obsolete DEC operating system TOPS-20. I just read SDF's long history page, and it was quite interesting to me (maybe not to the average joe). Anyway, not equivalents to Heliohost, but possibly of use/interest to some people here.
  16. Do not create multiple posts for a single request. someone will assist you when they can. See:
  17. An email alias just forwards an email to another email address. You cannot send mail directly from it. If you need to send emails from it, then you would need to create the email as a separate email account instead of an alias.
  18. The subject of the email you received has been changed to help reduce confusion for future users. Thank you for the feedback
  19. You can use Python, Node, and basically every other technology we offer (except Laravel) without changing the document root. If needed, you can enable CGI execution in your domain's root using .htaccess to avoid having the cgi-bin folder in your URLs. For Python (and related frameworks like Flask and Django) specifically, see https://wiki.helionet.org/Python for more information on how to run them here.
  20. No, if the payment fails we will email you and give you a chance to make a new payment before the VPS is powered off.
  21. Domains removed, and the new domain was added. it can take up to 2 hours for it to start working. You can also download a backup of your account before the domains were removed at https://heliohost.org/backup/
  22. Glad to see you were able to restore the data The domain kerryn.net has been removed. Please let us know if you need anything else.
  23. Domain added. it can take up to 2 hours to start working.
  24. Account has been reset and a new invite was sent to your email address. you can also download a backup of your account before the reset at https://heliohost.org/backup
  25. We cannot change domains directly like this, but what we can do is add and remove. I've added the scoobverse one from your request here. I have now removed the smurmel one from your account. If you want the content from smurmel to be on the scoobverse web address, you would need to re-upload the files inside Plesk. Please note there is a risk of data loss when domains are removed, since the folder for the domain inside Plesk will be deleted. I made a full account backup for you before I removed the domain, in case you need any of the old files. You can download the backup here: https://heliohost.org/backup If you're not sure how to extract the backup files, please follow our how-to guide here: https://wiki.helionet.org/Account_Backups
  26. I've added that domain to your account for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for the domain change to take effect. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/Clear_Your_Cache
