HelioHost Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Username: shree21, Server: Morty, Main domain: nrchoudhari.heliohost.usHi, My user id is shree21 and I would like to add domain CarCareUS.com so that I can upload the code and make this site live. Please share the documentation links for the host website and set up a cron job. Thank you, Nilesh R. Choudhari
KazVee Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Hello! I've added that domain to your account for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for the domain change to take effect, and it will not work until you set up your DNS with your domain registrar. To configure your DNS, please see the steps provided on our Wiki to either set NS records pointed at the HelioHost nameservers, or create A/AAAA records and point them to your server's IPv4/IPv6 address: https://wiki.helionet.org/Addon_Domains#Custom_Addon_Domains If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/Clear_Your_Cache Technical documenation about our services can be found in the Wiki here: https://wiki.helionet.org/ which offers a search function for key terms. In Plesk, cron jobs are called Scheduled Tasks, and you can find out how to set one up on this page: https://wiki.helionet.org/Cron_Jobs Please let us know if we can assist with anything else. Thanks!

KazVee Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Hello! All staff are unpaid volunteers who donate their free time to help others. Also, most staff are based in North America. You provided the Python version at 11:12 pm, so it may be that some staff were already asleep. Your chase email arrived at 11:02 am, so it may be that some staff are doing other things on a Sunday morning, such as work, school, or family commitments. While we generally try to reply within 24 hours, this is not a set ETA/SLA for our unpaid volunteer effort. We all have full time jobs and lives outside of this project. We run this organization in our free time, and if we don't have very much free time things don't get done very quickly. Most for-profit hosting companies have a staff of full time employees who sit around providing support and working 40 hours a week. It's very rare for any of our volunteers to work more than an hour or so each day. None of our volunteers are required to log a certain number of hours and may come and go as they please For support response timelines (SLAs and ETAs, and why they are not offered), kindly see: https://wiki.helionet.org/ETA For further information on how Community-Powered Technical Support works, kindly review: https://wiki.helionet.org/FAQ#How_does_community-powered_support_work? To prevent future delays caused by missing information in your request, when asking for Python modules, kindly ensure to provide all required information in the initial request message: 1 - Your account username. 2 - Your server. 3 - The version of Python you're using. 4 - The module(s) you need, including any specific version numbers. You can find a list of the required information for Python package requests in our Wiki page here: https://wiki.helionet.org/Python_Tutorial#Request_Additional_Python_Modules When someone has a chance to progress this request, a reply will be issued to you on this email chain. Thanks!
Krydos Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Installed. You can see the current list of modules and their versions for Morty's Python 3.12 at https://krydos3.heliohost.org/pyinfo/info3.12.py Please note: The module typing_extensions is part of the default Python install so doesn't show up on the above link, and doesn't need to be requested.

Krydos Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Since SSH isn't available on the Morty plan you picked you could use CGI instead. You could also enable remote connections, and run the migrations from your development system. If you don't like those options SSH is available on the VPS plans which start at $4 per month. You're welcome to have a VPS and a Morty plan at the same time, but if you want we could also exchange the remaining balance on the Morty account to give you some credit towards a VPS.
HelioHost Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 Hi, The website is up and running now. Only one thing pending is getting errors 404 for the static files like css and js. Due to missing js and css files the UI looks weird. I have followed the steps mentioned in the dummy app but still no luck. Another thing is when I make any change in .htaccess the django app restarts is this statement correct. Krydos Posted March 10 Posted March 10 What directory are the css and js located in? Did you edit the .htaccess file to make sure the static css and js files are served directly, rather than being routed through django.wsgi?
