  1. I'm not really sure what you're trying to ask, but generally all you need to do to get hosting from us is to log into your registrar's system, in your case log into your godaddy account. Look for a link to a DNS changing tool and set nameseerver (NS) records pointing to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org

  2. Your account was suspended for the following reason:

    Malware. 8 file(s). Trojan.PHP-43 FOUND

That means that there are some malware files found on your account.

For your safety and to protect your website from potential further corruption the account has been suspended.

To find the infected files we recommend making a backup of your site, download the backup file to your computer, and scan the backup using a reputable virus and malware scanner. If you're having trouble locating the offending files please ask and we can provide more information.

If you are you certain that it is a false-positive, we strongly encourage you to file a false positive form here: http://cgi.clamav.net/sendvirus.cgi

Your account should be unsuspended now, but keep in mind that this is a temporary unsuspension. You have 24 hours starting at the time of this post to clean your account of any and all malicious files or your account will be resuspended.

  3. Mail is working just fine for me. Again I ask that you change your password, and please stop posting it, we do not need to know it and will never ask you for it, all you do is run the risk of someone seeing it and hijacking your account. I checked mail about a minute or two before I edited your post, perhaps in the 25 minutes between your post and mine an admin went and fixed it, but please try now.

  4. That really isn't what we asked for anyways, what we're wondering is what your program's intended behaviour is.

The only thing I can possibly think of is my program went into an infinate loop?

No, that's not all it is, the servers operate using daemon programs, meaning programs that by definition run as infinite loops in the background, so again, what was it that your program was meant to do.

Perhaps I should have tested them on my local machine.

Yes, that's always a good plan.

I just wanted to learn to write gci in my favorite language, without having to pay.

I can understand that, in fact I kinda like C/C++, so I bought a C/C++ CGI book for $0.28. I also love Ruby so I rewrote a C++ assignment that used functions not supported on the servers in Ruby as a CGI script, so believe me I'm quite familiar with wanting to stick with what you know.

  5. One way to do it is to have emails from separate subdomains routed to separate servers. The default to have mail routed to the cPanel webmail login is just your domain, cPanel handles the rest basically. If you do something weird like set 2 MX records with the same priority you'd have user1@yourdomain.com and user2@yourdomain.com splitting their individual emails across two servers, meaning the local server will have half the emails they each try to get and the remote mail exchanger will have the other half, which is probably not something you want. If you do something with multiple MX but different priorities then mail will go to the server with the lowest priority ranking and if it's busy/down mail will reroute to the next highest up, which may mean that the servers with higher priority may never receive a single piece of mail or it'll happen very rarely.

  6. Your account was suspended for causing high server load. I have unsuspended your account, but please try to limit the load you put on our servers as it slows down not only your site, but the sites of all other HelioHost users sharing your server.

This is your second suspension for high load, another may be permanent.

If you still see the suspended page, please clear your cache.
