I think our emails crossed paths, the one with the domain you want added just arrived in the inbox so that's great. We're still missing your username though, please send us that and we can add the domain for you. Many thanks,

To add a domain to your account, please let us know: 1) your HelioHost account username, and 2) the full domain that you want added, including the top-level domain (TLD). For free HelioHost domains, you can have endings of either 'helioho.st' or 'heliohost.us'. If you have your own custom domain you'd like to use, please make sure you provide the full domain with the the TLD (such as .com, .net, etc.) Once we have the missing information, we'll be able to help you further. For more details on how to request additional domains, please check our Wiki guide here: https://wiki.helionet.org/management/addon-domains Many thanks,

I've added the domain for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for your new domain to fully work. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/misc/clear-your-cache Python is enabled by default, both versions 3.9 and 3.12 are available. You can read more about how to check for what packages are installed, and how to ask for any others you may need at the following link. Please make sure to check the list of things already installed, so you don't ask for packages that are already available: https://wiki.helionet.org/tutorials/python The default webroot on a main domain is the /httpdocs folder. The webroot for the addon domain will be the folder named 'coursewagon.helioho.st' inside the Home directory. Since you deleted and recreated your account only a short while ago, these defaults should be in effect. If you see something different in your File Manager, please give us a screenshot of the issue to help us troubleshoot further.

I've escalated your request to the root admins who can change your forum display name for you. ?

I've added that domain for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for your new domain to fully work. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/misc/clear-your-cache In the meantime, please either: - Point your domain to the HelioHost nameservers: `ns1.heliohost.org` and `ns2.heliohost.org`, or - Create A and/or AAAA records and point them to the IP address for the server you're on. You can find the IP address to use inside Plesk > Websites & Domains > [domain name] > and check at the bottom of the page.

I've escalated this request to the attention of the root admins who can help with this. Just in case you weren't already aware, you can request to change your forum account name, instead of deleting and starting over (if that's your intention behind the deletion). If you'd prefer a rename, just let us know what new forum username you'd like and the root admins can help with that, too.

If everything is working as expected now, I'll mark this thread as [Solved] but if you need help with anything else please feel free to start a new request thread and we'll be happy to help. ?

[Solved] Requesting to add another domain to my account pandaaaa
KazVee replied to pandaaaa's topic in Customer Service
Hello! We don't own the ".in.us" domain so this isn't one of the free domains we can offer. We can offer domains ending with "helioho.st" and "heliohost.us". Your other option was possible, so I have now added "insider.in.heliohost.us" to your account. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for your new domain to fully work. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/misc/clear-your-cache -
Hi Atiq, It's great that you're happy with the service. Since you already have 1 domain ending with "helioho.st" on your account, I took a guess that you wanted "compliance.helioho.st" and "afghanpharma.helioho.st" added to your account. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for your new domains to fully work. If after a full 2 hours they don't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/misc/clear-your-cache When adding domains, we need to know the ending (the "helioho.st" and "heliohost.us" endings for our free domains, or if you bought a ".com" or a ".net" domain that you wanted to use on our service, for example). If the free domains I've guessed aren't what you were asking for, please let us know the full domains you want, including the endings, and we can make the changes for you. Many thanks!

Hi Joanne! You haven't mentioned which type of database you're using. If you're using MariaDB, remote access is something you would be able to enable yourself when creating the database inside Plesk. If you're using PostgreSQL, Plesk (like most control panels) doesn't have great support for Postgres, and remote access to the DB is not enabled by default. You would need to request remote access, and an admin can set it up for you.We have more details on PostgreSQL connection errors here: https://wiki.helionet.org/common-errors/postgres-remote-connection-error To request remote access to PostgreSQL, please provide: 1) your database name and 2) the database user name you want to have remote access. It's unusual to not get any error messages on a failed connection attempt. You may also want to check your Plesk error logs, as these may offer more information about what is going wrong: https://wiki.helionet.org/tutorials/plesk/view-error-logs

Hello! Users cannot yet add subdomains themselves, but an admin can make the changes for you, just let us know what subdomain you want added. There's more details on subdomain management here.

I've added the k79 subdomain for you, please give it a full 2 hours to fully work. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/misc/clear-your-cache Per your request, I have removed and re-added the next subdomain, please also give it an entire 2 hours to work fully. When domains are deleted, their files are also deleted. I took a backup before the delete, so in case you need any files from the old domain. You can download the backup here: https://heliohost.org/backup If you're not sure how to extract the backup files, please follow our how-to guide here: https://wiki.helionet.org/tutorials/plesk/account-backups If you continue to have issues with the Softaculous install, please create a new topic for the issue, since this thread was for 'add a domain' and has been marked as [Solved]. In the new topic please make sure to provide 1) the name of the software package you're trying to install, 2) the settings you used (if different from the defaults) when installing it, and 3) any error messages seen during the install inside Softaculous.

I've added that one for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for your new subdomain to fully work. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/misc/clear-your-cache

I have now added domain 'projects.helioho.st' to your account. Typically we need to know the full domain including the TLD ending but since your main domain ends with helioho.st I took a guess that you wanted a similar TLD to that one. Please let us know if this isn't what you wanted. You can refer to this guide on how to request more domains, if you'd like more added later on. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for your new domain to fully work. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/misc/clear-your-cache

[Solved] Request to change primary domain
KazVee replied to strongestleo's topic in Customer Service
I've changed the main domain on your account for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for your new domain to fully work. If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/misc/clear-your-cache Please note there is a risk of data loss when main domains are changed, so I made a full backup for you before I made the changes. You can download the backup here: https://heliohost.org/backup If you're not sure how to extract the backup files, please follow our how-to guide here: https://wiki.helionet.org/tutorials/plesk/account-backups -
Those have both been added for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for them to fully work. If after a full 2 hours they don't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/misc/clear-your-cache

Users cannot yet make domain changes themselves, but an admin can help. Let us know the domain you want added as your new main domain, and we can make the changes for you: https://wiki.helionet.org/management/main-domain Please note that removing domains will delete the files associated with the domain so make sure you have a backup first: https://wiki.helionet.org/tutorials/plesk/account-backups#making-your-own-manual-account-backup

Thanks for confirming. I'm guessing you updated the email address on this forum account because I've now found a hosting account attached to the same email address as your forum account. That's how we double-check identity to make sure a reset request actually came from the account owner. ? I've reset your account as requested. You should receive an email shortly so you can take the next steps to recreate it. I made a backup before the reset, so if you discover you need any of your old files after all, you can download the backup here: https://heliohost.org/backup If you're not sure how to extract the backup files, please follow our how-to guide here: https://wiki.helionet.org/tutorials/plesk/account-backups

Thank you for confirming. I've unsuspended the account associated with that domain, please give it a few minutes to get back up and running. To prevent further account suspensions, please make sure you follow the Terms of Service.

You're not messing anything up by replying. We mark issues as [Solved] to make it easy to tell if there's a reply on non-Solved threads. However I saw there was a reply on this thread, so we do still check them anyway. ? I'm glad to hear that the billing page is behaving now. Once you're ready to add credit, I'd suggest making a new thread just so your new request isn't accidentally missed, but it's no big deal either way.

I've escalated this request for Wolstech's attention who can answer your question about how the existing domains will work as well as set up a Lily account for you.
-
I've added those for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for them to fully work. If after a full 2 hours they don't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/misc/clear-your-cache As explained in our Wiki here, the folders for the addon domains will be located in your home folder with a name that matches the domains you requested, so the folder name will be 'halapp.helioho.st', etc. This should work fine for most use cases but if your specific software requires something else, please let us know and we can look into it further.

I've escalated this for the attention of Krydos who can cancel your VPS subscription for you. He will reply in this thread and confirm the cancellation and that there'll be no further charges.
