Yes to both. On Tommy you can deploy your .war files through cpanel, and then deploy new versions. This feature is not available on Johnny, but you can still upload your .war file to /home/mbbm/filename.war and request an admin to deploy it.

It's possible, but it's strongly recommended that you convert your video files on your home pc. The reason is there really isn't anything you could do on our servers that would cause more load than video conversion, and it's highly likely your account will get suspended for it. Would you like to proceed anyways?

The best debugging advice for a situation like this is start small and simple. Make sure it works, and then make some small changes and make sure it works again. Unless your home pc is running the exact same os and the exact same versions of everything there are going to be differences when you deploy it.
