[Solved] VPS Subscription Renewal (and Morty Account top up)
msbsurfi replied to msbsurfi's topic in Escalated Requests
Hello, I would like to review the Tommy (Previously used), Morty and VPS. I have no problem with Morty. But the speed of connection of VPS is sometimes annoying. I think the internet speed of the virtual server fluctuates (10Mbps or more to 100 kbps), I have tested that my connection is ok and can download/upload more MBs than the download speed from sites hosted in the VPS. Even when I was downloading the files, the other sites load much slowly. Is there any option to enhance the upload/download speed of the VPS. Or does storage type (SSD/HDD) causes slow transfer? I know it is a good practice to keep downloadable files in CDN buckets, but we don't want to take the hassle, and as we have enough storage in the server, we'd like to keep those files in the server. Is there any way to keep the speed constant? Regards, MD Shifat Bin Siddique - Today

Thanks, I already set this option to "Allow remote connections from any host" and also tried "Allow remote connections from". Both did not work. I still get the error message: Code: $conn = new mysqli( "lsvcam.heliohost.us", "lsvcam_webcamLSVdbUser", "xxxxxx", "lsvcam_webcamData" ); if ($conn->connect_error) { die("❌ Verbindung fehlgeschlagen: " . $conn->connect_error); } else { echo "✅ Verbindung erfolgreich hergestellt!<br>"; }v In Plesk, my Database server is: Database server localhost:3306 (default for MariaDB, v10.5.27) Can I change that to "lsvcam.heliohost.us"?

[Solved] Hi, I would like to add my domain.
MoneyBroz replied to freebeedee's topic in Customer Service
Domain added. it can take up to 2 hours to start working. -
Both SMTPmart and Brevo are good options, but they serve slightly different needs. SMTPmart is focused more on bulk email sending and is known for its simplicity and good delivery rates. Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) offers a full marketing platform with more features like automation and analytics, but it can be a bit complex for beginners.

Johnny doesn't support PostGIS because he's too old. Same with Tommy. Right now only Morty and VPS plans support PostGIS. If you'd like to make sure Morty can do what you need we can give you a week trial, and if everything works the way you want you can make a payment to stay on that server. We will be upgrading Tommy and Johnny to support PostGIS too, but it may be a few months out still.

And to give a more thorough idea of just how dumb this was, your actions caused nearly 3000 other websites across 988 other users to experience an outage.

Odds are you’re probably sharing a network or a computer with someone else who has an account. Either way, since the other account is still suspended and we haven’t heard from the other user, you’ve been unsuspended. it may take a few minutes to work again.

DKIM, SPF, and DMARC have been set up for the domain fallbork.helioho.st. We recommend sending a real email (not just the word "test" or a blank email) to https://www.mail-tester.com/ to make sure that everything is set up correctly. If you get less than a 10/10 score please post a link to the full report so we can help you fix any other issues that there may be.

Yes, you can have up to 10 domains associated with your account, including domains you purchased with a registrar or free domains like .helioho.st or .heliohost.us. Only staff members can add domains at the moment.

[Solved] Connection to database server
wolstech replied to dipeshshrestha's topic in Customer Service
For others who may read this, yes you do. Marking solved. -
Third party DNS is not supported for helioho.st and heliohost.us subdomains. This restriction is intentional and is for two reasons: Some providers don't understand that the subdomains can be owned by different users. CF used to be one of the biggest offenders of this, though apparently it does recognize the subdomains separately now. Prevents users from pointing our domains to a third-party host. This is to prevent someone from doing something like hosting a phishing site on a third-party server where we can't scan for abuse/investigate/ban them, and getting the entire domain blacklisted.
-
Marking solved because the user deleted the entire account.
