msbsurfi Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 I am facing the same problem with webmail. 503 error. I imported user accounts using v-add-mail-account as root and succesfully all users are added. Then I tried to login to webmail and succesfully sent mail. But after I try apt update and upgrade as root it upgraded 2 pakages one of whom is Hestia. After success full upgrade I see this error again like the previous installation. Can you please figure the problem. I haven't run any critical command or command that I don't know how it works. Service Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. Additionally, a 503 Service Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Quote

We've had dozens of users using Hestia on Ubuntu 24 for the last 8 months or so and no one has reported any issues. If you want we can do another free rebuild to see if Snappymail works better on Ubuntu 22. Since it looks like it might be an OS compatibility issue, not your fault, we won't charge you. 16 minutes ago, msbsurfi said: Set it for dmcrac.org please RDNS for VPS112 is now set to dmcrac.org Quote
msbsurfi Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 The issue solved. https://github.com/hestiacp/hestiacp/issues/4808 this article is helpful. May be the problem is caused if hestia is upgraded to its latest version from any older version. Reinstallation not need. and many many thanks for helping me setting up the vps. Quote
msbsurfi Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 Sorry for changing PTR record again. I thought it should the domain from which I am sending mail. But after searching I see it should be the SMTP server that is sending the mail. Am I correct? If yes, please change the PTR to mail.dmcrac.org I appreciate your suggestion if I am incorrect. I see a rdns mismatch at mxtoolbox and finding all mail sent from the domain at spambox. Quote
Krydos Posted February 16 Posted February 16 You would have to check the email headers to see where the emails are being sent from, but yes most email systems use some subdomain, not the main domain. It's not a big deal to change the RDNS. Quote
msbsurfi Posted Sunday at 11:35 AM Author Posted Sunday at 11:35 AM Hello, $5 is donated using email msbsurfi@gmail.com Can you please check and increase 1GB in hosting username: hhfn Regrading the VPS: I have tried with complete DNS records, but mail is going to spam in Gmail and Microsoft. Once I mark one email as safe, the next emails arrive at inbox. That means That means mail will keep arriving at spambox until you mark one of the mail as safe. And also I see headers are well and mails are sent from VPS. I had a spf that rejects all mail from other IP addresses. Also used hestia generated DKIM. Now I am using SMTP relay by Mailgun for 1 year. But after 1 year it will be too much costly to afford. It will be a good news for us if you can increase IP reputation by this period or get a way buy fresh reputed IP from your ISP and attach them with our VPS. We are willing to pay if needed for a fresh IP address having no bad reputation. Quote

No, I haven't tested. But now I created a subdomain and made 2 test. Heliohost: 7.8/10 https://www.mail-tester.com/test-319xwymrx But After this test, I tried to send mail to my personal Gmail account, and it directly goes to spam box. Mailgun: 7.2/10 https://www.mail-tester.com/test-85e91yoda I tried this sending to several Gmail, outlook accounts. All mail go to inbox. I think Gmail and outlook keeps the mail in spam box according to their own blacklist. Can you please tell me how can I change ssh port? Now my VPS is in production mode. So it is necessary. I tried to configure another port. But everytime I try to connect, it refuses connection though firewall policy is correct and not blocking. So I haven't turned off default port. And many thanks to you for continuing a long conversation. If you think it's getting longer you can close the ticket as my VPS is now running well. Best Regards, MD Shifat Bin Siddique Quote

Emails like this always get flagged as spam. Send a real email and then post the report for it. Quote

But I sent this email to 4 accounts (2 Gmail and 2 outlook) along with mail-tester. While both Gmail kept it in inbox, both Outlook kept in spambox. I've sent an email with good content and a link to our website. Quote
Krydos Posted Monday at 03:17 PM Posted Monday at 03:17 PM Since you just registered your domain recently most mail services are going to be wary of it. Give it a few weeks and see if it gets better. 1 Quote
