Hi,

My mail, sent from test@stampaner.nl or info@stampaner.nl is being blocked by Outlook.com with the main message 'Unfortunately, messages from [65.19.154.90] weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list (S3150)'

We've been testing a new site so maybe our domain (stampaner.nl) is blocked because we did something wrong / sent too many messages... don't know. Full error message is below. Do you maybe know if this is something general related to the Tommy server? Or is this specific/only for our domain?

And do you maybe know what we can do to restore this?

Best regards / Thanks again,
Richard

This issue is likely because SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are missing from your domain. a root admin can help you set them up escalating.....

Posted

DKIM, SPF, and DMARC have been set up for the domain stampaner.nl. We recommend sending a test email to https://www.mail-tester.com/ to make sure that everything is set up correctly. If you get less than a 10/10 score please post a link to the full report so we can help you fix any other issues that there may be.

Thnx Krydos,

Tried again. Still blocked. The mail-tester report scores 7: please see https://www.mail-tester.com/test-55wv0sn14

I've sent an email from test@stampaner.nl that was rejected. The info@stampaner.nl mail is auto-forwarded (no mailbox) so couldn't directly test it with mail-tester.
If needed I can do that as well (need to temporarily create a mailbox than).

The score changes for me too when I check the report link you shared. I saw it at 9/10 and then I refreshed the page and it went to 7/10. I don't know why it's happening but figured I'd pop a note here so you know it's not only you seeing this happen!

It seems the content of the email message you sent was basically just "testing", and this can cause a lower score because of the message contents. You should have better luck getting 10/10 with a message that looks real. If you send out a regular newsletter or something, then try using some text from one of those. It doesn't have to be a long message, I think I've gotten 10s with just a quick pretend "reminder of tomorrow night's shopping plans and a list of items to buy" or something like that, that looks like a genuine non-test email.

I can't remember the limit per day that we can use the mail-tester site, but I remember I got limited because I tried too often, so my suggestion would be to wait for more help with that -3 section first, and then if you're asked to send another test email, make sure it has a real-looking message inside it as well.

There were two SPF records on the name server for that domain...

stampaner.nl. 14400 IN TXT "v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4:65.19.141.77 ~all"

stampaner.nl. 14400 IN TXT "v=spf1 ip4:65.19.154.90 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::1002 ~all"

The .77 IP isn't valid anymore so I just removed that one.

Try running that test again now.

Thnx. The mailtester scores a 10/10 now: https://www.mail-tester.com/test-hd877lyb2

But the mails from tommy / info@stampaner.nl still bounce at outlook.com with the following message:

Unfortunately there isn't much more we can do on our end for this since it's Microsoft's decision not to accept mail from Tommy's IP. More often than not, this fixes itself over time as the IP's reputation improves. I tried sending an email from my own Tommy account to your Outlook account and it also bounced, so it is definitely the IP and not the sending email address.

We could offer you a dedicated IP for $20/year if you'd like in the meantime, which would separate your mail and websites from the rest of the users on Tommy. If you want to do this, let us know and we can set this up for you.

Or, you could move to Morty, which has a different (but still shared) IP. Morty has a recurring monthly fee, but it doesn't require you log in to keep it active, doesn't have a load restriction (you pay more if the load goes up, though since your account uses basically no load you'd just pay the base $1/month), and is quite a bit faster than Tommy too. If you want to do that, you can do it yourself: https://heliohost.org/dashboard/move/ (I've sent you a test email to confirm this option would work so you don't waste money if it's also blocked...)

Thnx Wolstech,

That's a pitty that Tommy's IP is blocked at the moment. Thnx for looking into this.
I'll check what we'll do now.

Best regards

Ps you mail from Morty did arrive indeed.
