wolstech Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 Are you using your cpanel username and password for the credentials? You have to do so if you want to use SFTP. The additional ftp accounts you can create in cpanel are only supported using plain (insecure) ftp on port 21.

Sorry for the inconvenience of blocking you IP when you try to login with the wrong username or password too many times. We do so to protect our users from brute force attacks that would otherwise guess people's password and hack into their accounts.We have over 17,000 accounts, and on average only one or two people get blocked each day so it's actually a pretty rare occurrence to happen to our legitimate users. For the most part it's only the hackers and bots that get blocked.
