We have to limit the number of new accounts each day to prevent the servers from becoming overloaded. However, anyone who makes a donation https://www.heliohost.org/donate/ will receive a special invite that allows you to create your account at any time even if the server is full for the day. During the signup process just enter your domain that you own, and set your registrar settings to use ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org as your nameservers. Once you have your account created you can build your website in html, php, jsp, aspx, python, ruby, perl, django, etc. Let us know if you have any other questions, or if we can help in any way.

Krydos Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 We have a webpage builder called softaculous that allows you to install various software packages like wordpress or joomla, and then depending on which software you use there are different themes you can use.Since you mentioned Wix and Jimdo I went and looked at their sites. For Wix you have to pay $14 per month or more for unlimited bandwidth, and Jimdo is even worse at $20+ per month. Heliohost is all free for everything including unlimited bandwidth and a lot of other features that neither of those services can offer. Let us know if you have any other questions.

For instance you could use https://www.softaculous.com/apps/calendars/Booked if you need to do appointment scheduling on your website. You could maybe use https://www.softaculous.com/apps/blogs/WordPress for the front end of your website because there are literally thousands of themes that you can find for free. I'm not sure what features you would need though so I'm just guessing.

On the server selection screen choose Tommy, and then use your new domain to create your account. At the registrar's website that you purchased your .de domain set the nameservers records to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org and then your domain will be hosted.

Did you have to set a password of some sort when you purchased the domain? If so, you probably can log into a customer area on their website and set them. If you can't figure it out, contact their support and ask them how to set the nameservers to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org. Many will even do it for you if you ask. All registrars are capable of setting nameservers since every web hosting company requires this same process to use your domain with the hosting company.
