Yes, I believe you can use SSL certificates on multiple subdomains. This can be setup within cPanel after you get your dedicated IP. Are you planning on using a trusted certificate (eg. VeriSign, StartSSL) or are you planning to use a Self-Signed certificate? If you are using a Self-Signed certificate, please acknowledge that browsers may show warnings about self-signed certificates, and they are mainly used for testing purposes only.

An IP address is a series of numbers which each computer is given. HelioHost has one IP address which all it's websites are on (every website hosted on HelioHost has the same IP). However, if a website wants to use SSL, they will need a different IP address. This is known as a 'Dedicated IP'. Please can you provide your cPanel username and domain? Also, please can you confirm that you want a Dedicated IP?

What username are you using to login to the FTP server?
-
Oh - right. Sorry, I thought you said that your were on /home1/ a while back. As an alternative to the file manager you could also use FTP or Web Disk. Descalating...

Couldn't you just export/import the tables in the database instead of the whole database?

It looks like you haven't set up the nameservers for the domain (livingflint.co.uk). From the 1-2-3-REG website, add the following nameservers: ns1.heliohost.org ns2.heliohost.org Afterwards, it should take around 24 hours for your website to become alive.

The server load is quite high at the moment. Try again when it's below 20.00 . You can take a look at the server load by looking in my signature.

1) cPanel. HelioHost offers an award-winning control panel which allows customers to easily upload, edit and create files. 2) FTP. You can use an FTP client to upload, create and delete files to the servers. Host: ftp.yourdomain.heliohost.org - Username and Password same as your cPanel's. 3) Web Disk. You can use a WebDav connection directly from your computer - simple follow the instructions available from your cPanel.

I'm sure it'll be okay. My forum username is 3 chars long aswell!! Take a look here to find out when to signup: http://heliohost.uni.cc/sign-up.php

Aha!! I believe it is all the people who are on /home/ experiencing problems. However, (correct me if I'm wrong) Geoff is on /home1/ so he is not having any troubles. This support request is being escalated to our root admin.

That's due to your very long link to StackExchange.

@daman371 : I looked in the database and your main domain is already review-a-prof.com . It is possible that another admin changed it for you. Do you wish me to take further action? @tito : Your domain has been changed and should be working within 24 hours. If you haven't already, please set the nameservers on your domain to: ns1.heliohost.org ns2.heliohost.org

Moving to Web Management & Coding.

Yes, you could do that. You guys: Could you please login to your cPanel ans look on the left hand side of the screen. What does it say next to 'Home directory'? @admins Could it be the partitions?

Let me explain... A sub domain is an extra part of your domain (sub.domain.com) which is mirrored with another folder (domain.com/sub). A sub domain can mirror different parts of your websites (domain.com/folder/sub) but it can only mirror one folder. The physical address of a subdomain is very similar to a normal folder ( /public_html/sub ). To password protect a subdomain, go to 'Password-Protect Directories' and protect the physical path I told you about above. When you go to your subdomain, it says that the phsyical address you entered ( /public_html/index.php ) was deleted. Hope this makes sense.

We think we have fixed the caching problem, but it could take days to take effect. Glad your problem got solved.
-
@Geoff - Happens to me as well when Stevie's on high server load. Somebody may know a fix? (eg. clear cache)

I searched the database for jcxvyc and I couldn't find anything. I also searched for JcX (as your HelioNet username) but that also returned no accounts. I also searched for the email address that you used when you signed up for HelioNet (victory****@yahoo.com) and, again, found nothing. Your account was probably deleted due to inactivity (if you last logged in less than a month ago) - please feel free to create a new account.
-
We recommend you login through the HelioHost homepage.
-
Okay - fixed now. Thanks, djbob!

Done. Your main domain will be appmagz.co.cc within 24 hours.
-
Yes - this is due to high server load. At the moment, Stevie is under alot of pressure as he is trying to suspend and terminate as many inactive accounts as possible. We think he'll have finished by May. Take a look at Stevie's Server Load in my signature. When it is lower than 20.00 , it should work okay.
