    PHP Mail

Well... not really. It just GET the string that user input, as name, not valid email address. And in my hotmail inbox, it displays the sender as jcx@server.heliohost.org if I typed JcX in the Name field. or djbob@server.jcx.heliohost.org if someone typed djbob. It just simply replace the name@server.heliohost.org. So... I just don't know why it malfunction after I migrate to Stevie. *Note: I don't find it in my junk mailbox either.... EDIT: I guess I know the problem why... the domain of sender has been modified to @stevie.heliohost.org

That's weird... I was in my college at that moment, well.... the wifi here is kinda slow... And then the file manager loads as v2, not v3

well...I see new changes to Helio now... I see the FileManager has changed to v2. No wonder I experienced slow loading at the moment. Again, great job!

    PHP Mail

This problem seems to occur after migration to Stevie. My PHP mail() function seems like not working anymore. I've a script on my site, whereby will send automated mail whenever user post in my guestbook to notify me of it. but recently, it seems like not working anymore. Could you please check for me?? Thanks for supporting. Earnest, JcX

That's very nice to be heard. I need HD space a lot since sometimes I need to store some music files and pictures which I don't like to get Photobucket, etc to host it for me. Anyway, can I purchase some extra HD space with Helions? Please inform me if Stevie can support this request. Goodjob and bravo to djbob on improving this site to the best!
  7. Oh yea..... no more AdSense or whatsoever ads. Well.... I did install AdBlock but I didn't activate it. I only block those annoying ads or graphics that gets in my way of browsing.
  8. You're right at some stage, but consider this, when a movie company is trying to make a website that attracts more people for the movie. How should the site be made? 100% with flash? Or an advance webpage with JS, CSS, PHP, AJAX with a lot of marvelous graphic?? Well, flash will be more eye-catchy if you noticed, that's the reason why all movie promoting site uses flash as their media. And if you notice, if you put a lot of graphic on your site, the end result is the total size of a page is greater than a flash. (my personal site just sizing 330KB, not really much heavier than a site nicely decorated with a lot of graphics.)
  9. Funny question... Why not?? When someone make the wiki, he/she must be considered about the open-source risks. There must be always some groups to monitor the source input by the user to ensure that whatever they modify, is based on fact and latest. Well... of course, wiki doesn't always provide full info about what you want. But so far, I haven't get any wrong info from wiki yet... did anyone??
  10. Oh well... make the mod apps up and let the mods handle each forum with their responsibility. Granting Helions by reviewing the posts inside (this would take time for mods) OR penalize Helions from those spammers found inside. (this is better one) That could make full use of mods right?
  11. Actually, if djbob is ok with the bandwidth usage due to spam, your idea is ok. But I did prefer to save the bandwidth for necessary objective e.g. HelioHost hosting bandwidth not for unnecessary things e.g. Forum Games.
  12. Because the energy liberated from the annihilation process is huge. If we can minimize the energy required to obtain antimatter, the net energy gain is a profit for anything. That's what so special about it. *Of course, it's very hard to realize this dream.
  13. I vote the first vote, just disallow the point accumulation as for current actions. And see the response. If the spam insists, just remove the relevant topics and forum games as well.
  14. Well... I didn't do much research on that. But from what I know, 2 years ago, IE can display most website than FF. But then I still stick to FF instead of IE. (actually, I uninstall IE from my machine) Until now, honestly, I know more about FF, but not IE. *For your information, I've got some torrents site from China, that only IE can open the link but not FF. It's sorta like a FTP link, but weirdly, FF cant link to that.
  15. Well.... did I said that producing anti-matter is the future energy source? I didn't, I just saying that antimatter could be our future energy source theoritically, but not just from the artificial production of it, but from all way round that we could collect it, including from the Van Allen belt of the Earth or from the belt of Jupiter, or maybe from supernova explosion if we could. Yea, what I mean theoritical is the net energy gain from antimatter. It's a very reliable energy source to be said IF we could find a way to collect it without much financial cost, and AVOID unnecessary destruction caused by antimatter. That's what I mean by theoritically. If we really could find a way to solve the current obstacle, it indeed could be an energy source. (djbob: I knew you would say this is impractical, but please, I'm saying this on the basis of possibility, it's possible, but yet, not really proven practical.)
  16. Ok... so the argument never stops... and there'll be no end for it. IF we human really can develop such technology to utilize the energy of anti-matter, we wouldn't know, because that might be million years later, or maybe we couldn't make that happen before we extinct. BUT I do believe that anti-matter could be the future energy source, because based on theoritical reasons, it's possible to make that, just it might not necessary be practical.
  17. I believed that Java applets wasn't so popular though. I once tried to use some noob Java applet in my web, and my friends don't even want to install Java applets on their browser, in the end, they see nothing in my web.
  18. I know beta-decay is rare, but is it extremely rare?? If you see the stability belt of the elements, heavier atom tends to undergo alpha decay, while atom with lower proton number tends to go beta decay (where it's rare), usually they undergo collision to form a bigger and stabler atom. But can you say it's extremely rare? One thing I agreed is, beta+ decay is extremely rare. But if you see, beta- decay also produce antineutrino, which also is antimatter. The question is just how we're going to contain the antimatter produced before it gets annihilated. Let the great scientist solve this.

djbob mentioned this quite a number of times, that will be a transfer. Just request for the transfer, and everything will be done with no worries. ;-)
  20. Fine.... In my definition, anti-matter includes antiprotons, positrons. If we use antiprotons collide with protons, we still get an amount of energy, is that right?
  21. OK. That's fine for me. Perhaps my title is confusing in the computing terms. Then I shall use "What programming language is best for web design?" So, what say you?
  22. If I really like it, I guess I would have pay real cash for it. Helions is just for those who match the standard I want, but if I decided to take one that I really like, I'll pay real cash so that what I get is really professional.
  23. Dear, look at this equation from wiki Beta+ decay We get positron by when a particle undergoes beta+ decay, giving out positron, neutrino and neutron. There's not a need to have a antiproton to undergo beta+ decay to get positron. There're still a lot of examples of radioactive decay that produces anti-matter(positron, antiproton, etc), but I don't have time to search for that.
  24. What you mean by that? PHP ASP is the most competitive languages of all, while JSP is a slightly non-popular type (in my opinion) They're all deeply related to browsers as the browser read them and display to us.
  25. Joe, Well, if someone really shows up and offer this cool template, I don't mind spending 10,000 Helions for that too. But the problem is, Helions doesn't represent any values in the realistic world. And the template you meant, is gonna cost a lot out there. Maybe..... maybe some generous kind designer would do it FoC for you.
