  1. If you could open a new topic over in customer service so this can be tracked as its own issue, it would be appreciated. I already mentioned it to him in our staff channel, but the separate issue will help us keep everything together. I could also try splitting the GD discussion off of here instead if you prefer. For what it's worth, this issue likely affects me as well, because I also have a 5.6 app that uses GD for text on images on my tommy account. Don't know if its broken yet though as mine hasn't moved, but I expect the same issue...

  2. Those settings should be correct (SFTP/tommy.heliohost.org/1373), but they don't work for me either. I've asked about it in a staff channel.

  3. Thanks you, now it works. Only a couple of fixes needed: Requests module is missing for python 3.12 SFTP access: which ip/dns port should I use? Connection info available in https://tommy.heliohost.org:8443/smb/web/view/79/connection-info lacks port while ip listed is not "networkly" reachable. I already tried new tommy.heliohost.org and 1373 port pointed here https://wiki.helionet.org/management/uploading-files

  4. I also use an external DNS (Cloudflare). I think you should also mention in the e-mail the need to update the MX and SPF records, if applicable.

  5. I see this php error message: PHP Warning: Version warning: Imagick was compiled against Image Magick version 1692 but version 1693 is loaded. Imagick will run but may behave surprisingly in Unknown on line 0 Can you reproduce this error with any php file?

  6. This is why the email you received after being moved has a giant Login button at the bottom, and explains at great length that logging in via any url other than https://heliohost.org/ or https://heliohost.org/login/ is a bad idea.

  7. Hello, file is still in the same path, I didn't delete it. Plus the other pre-existing py files give the same error too. I login with "pyknite" user on this url https://tommy2.heliohost.org:8443/smb/file-manager/list

  8. Your account was transferred from cPanel. Those old transfer accounts have all sorts of strange bugs. Since we have so few transfer accounts left, and there are no new transfer accounts being created I no longer waste my time trying to fix them. As long as people don't have any issues with these ancient accounts we just leave them alone, but as soon as they start to have bugs the first thing we recommend is a reset. If you can't get it to work on your own the only remaining option is to do a reset. This process deletes all your current content and recreates your account with all the default settings which fixes all the strange cPanel transfer issues because the account is created directly on Plesk. If you want to switch your main domain back to the old Tommy to get the website working again immediately we can do that, and then we can allow you to have 2 accounts at once, one on the old Tommy and one on the new Tommy. Then once you get everything working on the new Tommy we can move your main domain to the new account as well.

  9. I don't even see a test.py file. Did you delete it already? How are you logging in to your account?

  10. Oh ok, thanks for fixing the website

  11. @Palpale Your site has been fixed. Softaculous had replaced your .htaccess with its own file, which is incompatible with your website. I've restored the backup copy and the site now works. It looks like Softaculous created a .bk file (backup htaccess) when this happened, I just renamed that back to .htaccess and the site works again. I would recommend not using the WP management tools in Softaculous with your site as a result. Use the Plesk WP toolkit instead.

  12. Those subfolders don't exist on your account, so a 404 error is expected. If those are supposed to be virtual folders handled via mod_rewrite, you need to fix your .htaccess file or WP installation. The account itself is working properly. This page should show phpinfo(): https://plj.my.id/hh_test.php

  13. The fonts are stored under /blitzortung/fonts/ . Does this help you to diagnose the error?

  14. Hello, my python scripts don't worky anymore, I always got http 404 not found error. I put down a sample script as suggested in the tutorial and it doesn't work too https://pyknite.helioho.st/cgi-bin/test.py Permissions are 755 for ,py files, i changed the shebang go 3.9 (I tried 3.12 too), cgi-bin has 750 permissions. I waited 9 hours before trying.

  16. The Johnny backups should be ready to go. If you created your account before 2024-03-08, and you were on the Johnny server you should be able to go to https://heliohost.org/backup/ to download the best backup we could recover for you. Like we mentioned in a previous news post, anyone who created their account after 2024-03-08 will have to use whatever personal backups you created yourself. Please let us know if anything is missing from your backup, because the server is still powered on so we may be able to find something more for you.

  18. Our forums and our main website will be down for a bit for scheduled maintenance. We expect the downtime to only last 30-60 minutes. During the maintenance you won't be able to access heliohost.org or helionet.org. Websites on Johnny or Tommy plans won't be affected. If you need to login during the downtime you can do so directly at johnny.heliohost.org or tommy2.heliohost.org depending on which server you are on.

  19. Since Johnny has been rebuilt and seems to be working fairly well, we will be opening free signups once again beginning at midnight UTC tonight, which is roughly 8 hours from now. Sorry again for the long downtime, and be assured we have taken steps to prevent something like this from happening again. Thanks for your patience during this unexpected rebuild.

  21. If you have a Johnny account head over to https://heliohost.org/status/ to get yourself set up on the new, freshly rebuilt server. To recap the recent news, about a month ago we noticed quite a bit of input/output errors on Johnny's filesystem. This was surprising because we have redundant raid arrays, and checks in place to alert us if we need to replace a bad hard drive. Apparently the checks had failed, and the raid array was already pretty much destroyed. After failing to rebuild the array using the July 15th data multiple times we tried rebuilding the raid from a drive that was kicked from the array on March 8th. All of the data from March 8th to July 15th was already gone, but we managed to get people backups from the older data. Any changes or new accounts from March 8th until July 15th will need to be restored from your personal backups that you made yourself. Since Morty was approaching completion we quickly finished that server, and then cloned him to make a new Johnny. Setting up a new Plesk server with all of our customizations and settings is very time consuming, but using the cloning technique we managed to shorten the process to only a few days. All of the Johnny accounts that had backups available have been set into the archived state, so if you want to start using your account all you need to do is go to the https://heliohost.org/status/ and it will guide you through the renewal process. If your account was created after March 8th, there is no backup for you, but you can go to the same https://heliohost.org/status/ page and it will give you the option to recreate your account with the same plan and same storage space as you had before. The account will be as empty as a brand new account always is, and then you can restore whatever personal backups you made. If you're having any issues with getting your account working again, let us know, and we can fix it. We have made a lot of changes already to prevent something like this from happening again in the future. Sorry for the downtime, and thank you for your patience.

  22. Thanks a lot for this information. I will wait patiently for updates about server status. ?

  23. The server is still broken and has not been rebuilt yet. We just recovered the data and made it available in backup form. The server will likely take several additional weeks to rebuild. Once that’s done, the plan is to replace that message when logging in with the option to either restore your backup into an account, or reinvite yourself without waiting for open signups if there is no backup available for you.

  24. Accounts created created after 2024-03-08 have to use personal backups. But in my case after login I only view this message: Website Error It looks like something went wrong. If you try again later it might start working on its own, or you can contact support to let us know that it's broken. Thanks. I cannot upload any file or restore my settings.

  27. Do we have any information how long it will take for Johnny server to be rebuilt ?
    1 point
  28. Johnny's Apache is broken due to the disk issues as mentioned in a previous News post. Plesk is sort of working on Johnny, but any accounts on Johnny that do still exist will not work properly. Any changes you make on a Johnny account at this point will be deleted as part of the Johnny server rebuild in a few days. For the time being, your only option for a working account is to move to Tommy or buy a VPS.

  29. I am apparently able to log into my account and upload all the news files on Heliohost via FTP. But when I go on my web site (dahuhunter.heliohost.org), the error 502 still appears.

  30. There are also 16 accounts with an exception to the March 8 date due to manual backups being created by staff during routine support and maintenance tasks. That list is here: https://helionet.org/index/topic/61405-johnny-rollback-to-march/?do=findComment&comment=274060 If your account appears on that list, a backup newer than March 8 is available for your Johnny account from https://heliohost.org/backup/
