  1. Download your Stevie backup at https://heliohost.org/backup/ The Heliohost admins can now confirm that the reason Stevie crashed and the reason he won't boot up anymore is because his hard drive has failed. Since Stevie won't boot on his own we had to devise a way to access his failing hardware with the goal of backing up as much user data as we could. A custom backup script was written that scoured Stevie's broken partitions as quickly as possible to save as much data as we could. This script transferred the data off Stevie and compressed it to save space, and you can access your archive with the above link. As always we recommend all of our users take frequent backups of their sites in the rare case that something like this could happen, but we have done everything we can to salvage as much user data as possible. If your file is missing something it is most likely because the hard drive is too corrupted, but if you would like to request an admin try to manually backup some specific data please open a support ticket by posting at http://www.helionet.org/index/forum/45-customer-service/ We recommend using your backup to create a new account on Johnny or Tommy. The Stevie backups will only be available for a limited time as we don't have an infinite amount of space to host them all. We will be replacing Stevie's hard drive and rebuilding him the next time an admin visits California. If you need help with anything just let us know. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this very unexpected hardware failure.

  2. Yeah, that's why. If you requested your Stevie account to be deleted then the backup script probably isn't going to work until we get that fixed. Thanks for helping to test it. Does it work now with the original Stevie info that you used?

  3. I'm not sure how that script works, so I can't be sure, but I'll bet it's got something to do with the email address being changed to include a -old before the @ when you asked to reuse your information...the username also has a 2 on the end now.

  5. The username manuarte, and the domain firemachine.nl.eu.org are now available for you to create a new account. I hear you. I started out as a user just like you years ago. When I created my Stevie account I had to stay up until 2am, and then the first night they filled up already by 2:08 or so when I remembered. The next night I was on top of it and managed to create an account at 2:01. (Un)fortunately we're very popular. Few paid hosts can even offer all that we do, and we give it away for free. We've been gradually increasing the number of Johnny signups we offer each night, and we'll soon offer free signups on Tommy too. For now though we have to make sure our servers don't get overloaded so we have to limit the number of new accounts each day.
