Debian isn't a common OS that users order for a VPS so we don't really add a new release unless necessary (such as an OS going EOL). Ubuntu is recommend because it's more user friendly and easier to use than Debian, also with Ubuntu it will install itself unlike Debian which requires a manual build. Yes, you will be able to upgrade by clicking the upgrade button of your VPS account on the heliohost.org page. 6. The VPS would try to renew on the due date. if it fails, we'll let it retry for 5 days then on the 6th day, we'll email you and ask if you would like to setup a new subscription. if the email is ignored, then the VPS will be shut down and we'll hold onto the data for 36 days in case you would like to come back. if you ever need more time to make a payment, we would be more than welcome to give you an extension until you are able to do so.
  3. Good day, I am considering to purchase a vps plan but I still have some queries in mind that I would like to ask. I'll just list them down below. Would purchasing a vps will separate from the current Tommy plan? and can I go back to Tommy, if ever? Why there no option for Debian 13 (doesn't matter much to me tho, just curious)? and why ubuntu is the recommended (any perks included?)? Is it allowed to change os if ever? Would it be good if I also use it as email server for personal emails, even when I only purchased the 1gb mem 2cpu with 50gb storage? Is it easy to upgrade the memory, cpu, and storage if I needed more? What will happen if for some reason the user didn't pay the monthly payment? would all stuffs in the vps get deleted? Thank you.

  6. Thanks! I’ve pointed ngonike.dev and www.ngonike.dev to the IPs shown in Plesk via A/AAAA records on my Squarespace DNS. Both domains should now serve the same site.
  7. You can bypass the upload size by manually uploading the file through the plesk file manager. Are you trying to upload a Wordpress plugin?

  13. Alias added. Be sure to configure DNS for the domain at the registrar (either use our name servers ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org, or use A and AAAA records pointed to the IPs Plesk shows for ngo.helioho.st). The domain can take up to 2 hours to function.

  17. Your DNS records are wrong. You received this email 7 hours ago which you ignored You're welcome to use external DNS, but if you do we can't change the A and AAAA records for you. If you use ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org we can update your DNS records for you when you move between servers which results in zero downtime, but since you're using external DNS you have to manually update the DNS records as the email instructed you to. Failure to change the DNS records results in a 503 from Tommy for a few hours, and then a queued page after that.

  21. Krydos will need to look at this. The sites and subscription aren’t suspended in Plesk and it’s been more than 2 hours now, so I’m not sure what is causing the 503.

  23. Hi, i have a domain in my user account: 'developer1', which i'd like to add a custom domain for the current site: 'ngo.helioho.st' on the account. Please park ngonike.dev (and www.ngonike.dev) on my account so it serves the same site as ngo.helioho.st. Thanks.

  25. Hello HelioHost Team, I am experiencing a serious issue with my hosting account. All of my domains and subdomains are currently showing a 504 Gateway Time-out (nginx) error. None of my hosted pages are loading from any device or network. Details: - Username: [texu] The problem started today and continues even after clearing cache, trying different networks, and checking from multiple devices. It looks like a server-side or gateway issue affecting my entire account, not just a single domain. I request the team to please check my hosting instance, backend services, gateway connection, or any resource-related issues that may be causing this downtime.   26. I'm not seeing any problems with your account, but all your pages do show a 503 error. Are you able to login to Plesk and check the logs page? An administrator will be able to look into this in the morning.
