goensch Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 Hi, I was unsuspended, thanks! However, I think my load is still quite high....ย ย The strange thing is, my code should be as it was the last months....ย ย Everyone says this ๐ ย Can you give me an indication or can I see which script causes the load?ย ย Execution times seem as before....ย ย Maybe I forget as something... And CPU load seems to fluctuate a lot... ย ย Thanks a lot, Jochenย
KazVee Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 This support request is being escalated to our root admins to see if the can offer more insight on what script might have caused the higher load.ย
wolstech Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 Load is coming from systemd. Krydos will need to research what is causing this as it's not normal. We didn't have a single CPU suspension for 4 months, then suddenly had several yesterday all for load from systemd. One suggestion mentioned in a staff channel was that it might be caused by SFTP connections being left open for long periods. Are you using SFTP heavily? If so, does your client disconnect the session after transferring files?ย ย
goensch Posted December 25, 2025 Author Posted December 25, 2025 Thanks. No, only http requests....ย And HTTPS.
goensch Posted December 25, 2025 Author Posted December 25, 2025 To be precise, a PHP and py make the calls.
goensch Posted December 25, 2025 Author Posted December 25, 2025 I am Not Sure about cron, but is called scheduled in plesk.
goensch Posted December 25, 2025 Author Posted December 25, 2025 Thanks. The number , frequency and runtime of the Tasks is as before.ย
Krydos Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 Try reducing the frequency of the scheduled tasks.
goensch Posted December 25, 2025 Author Posted December 25, 2025 Sure.....ย ย But there is of course a reason....ย ย How to find out what is different to last week? Do you have any ideas? ย Strange thing each Task still runs about 35 seconds as before. So should be same CPU?. I try to investigate when my son is asleep.
Krydos Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 It's probably related to the reboot. Prior to the power outage the server hadn't been rebooted for a year or so.
goensch Posted December 26, 2025 Author Posted December 26, 2025 Thanks again. I now reduced the load. And will try further in the days to come. ย Kind regards Jochenย
Krydos Posted December 26, 2025 Posted December 26, 2025 No problem. Let us know if you need help with anything else. We used to only allow 2 cron runs per day, and you're running about 1200 per day so I don't consider this an issue that your load is right around 8k per day. 1200 cron runs per day is pretty generous for a free service.
