HelioHost Posted May 2, 2025 Posted May 2, 2025 Username: giuliodinatale, Server: Tommy, Main domain: giuliodinatale.itI noticed that the uptime of my Tommy hosting plan is really low, very often offline, I'm tempted to switch to the Morty Prepaid plan for 19 dollars, I would like to know with 19 dollars how long it lasts me and if it's enough for at least 1 year and a half considering that I have a stupid web page, with a php form and an email address, and I would like to know if the uptime was really 100% because I'm interested in the uptime
wolstech Posted May 2, 2025 Posted May 2, 2025 The minimum charge is $1/month, so assuming you have no overages due to excessive load (which it sounds like you won't with a basic webpage), you're looking at about 2 years of service for that $19 after the bonus we give for prepaying. Morty really is that much faster, and it has an actual 100% uptime over the last 7 days, in contrast to Tommy's 99.8% and Johnny's 97%. We do offer refunds too (https://heliohost.org/refunds/), you can always cancel it and request a refund of the unused balance, minus the bonus and a $0.50 fee (because Paypal charges us to process a refund), if you're unhappy with it.
HelioHost Posted May 2, 2025 Author Posted May 2, 2025 Okay thank you very much, now I have a question regarding the integration of email with outlook, I would like to connect the email without using the webmail service, but when I enter the access parameters provided by plesk i.e. giuliodinatale.it both for incoming and outgoing servers and the corresponding ports and using my email as username i.e. me@giuliodinatale.it and using my password in outlook after a long loading it gives me a generic error, instead thunderbird with the automatic configuration (correct as it is identical to the data that plesk returns to connect to the mail server), gives me an error related to the password after a long wait on "Checking Password" obviously using IMAP as recommended by plesk and after about 3/4 minutes of waiting it gives me "Unable to authenticate on the server. The configuration, username or password may be incorrect" Da: HelioHost Support Data: venerd?, 2 maggio 2025 alle ore 21:45 A: giuliodinatale2006@icloud.com Oggetto: Re: [HH#596106] Migrate from Tommy to Morty Prepay The minimum charge is $1/month, so assuming you have no overages due to excessive load (which it sounds like you won't with a basic webpage), you're looking at about 2 years of service for that $19 after the bonus we give for prepaying. Krydos Posted May 2, 2025 Posted May 2, 2025 Try using tommy.heliohost.org as your SMTP host and IMAP host.
HelioHost Posted May 2, 2025 Author Posted May 2, 2025 It works like a charm, if I may ask why it works when I point to your servers and not mine? Krydos Posted May 2, 2025 Posted May 2, 2025 Because you're using Cloudflare and Cloudflare doesn't proxy port 465, 993, or 995. If you want to use your own domain as your IMAP, POP3, or SMTP host you would need to change your NS records to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org
HelioHost Posted May 2, 2025 Author Posted May 2, 2025 Thank you so much for your kindness, clarity and speed of your answers, I am updating my plan especially for your support, keep it up! Krydos Posted May 2, 2025 Posted May 2, 2025 Thanks for the $19 Morty purchase. Let us know if you notice any speed increases after your account is fully moved.
HelioHost Posted May 2, 2025 Author Posted May 2, 2025 Sure, I trust you guys! Quick question: won't the server ip change after the transfer is complete? Krydos Posted May 2, 2025 Posted May 2, 2025 Correct. You should have already one email explaining the move process. In a bit you will receive a second email with the new IP addresses to use. Since you're using Cloudflare you'll need to update your A and AAAA records as explained in the second email. Domains that use our nameservers have their DNS records updated automatically.
HelioHost Posted May 2, 2025 Author Posted May 2, 2025 Yes then I finally read the email that arrived about 2 minutes after I asked you guys, sorry about that and sorry for my English because I'm Italian Da: HelioHost Support Data: venerd?, 2 maggio 2025 alle ore 22:17 A: giuliodinatale2006@icloud.com Oggetto: Re: [HH#596106] Migrate from Tommy to Morty Prepay Correct.
