HelioHost Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Username: hippo, Server: Tommy, Main domain: hippo.heliohost.org Great idea...but I don't have Windows Are there any plans for a Linux version of HelioMine?
Krydos Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Hey, thanks for replying. We've had quite a few people ask about linux already. We assumed statistically that since most people in the world run windows it would be best to release that first. We've already begun plans on releasing instructions on how to mine for linux. Keep an eye on our news posts on facebook, twitter, and our forums. We'll announce when we have the linux mining set up.

Good to know you're working on Linux too—I'll be waiting for that Which linux distro do you use? My distro is Ubuntu (actually Xubuntu, but I guess it comes to the same thing?). Krydos Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 These scripts should work on Xubuntu http://assets.raxsoft.com/bin/rgs/assignment/linux/ I wrote and tested them on Ubuntu 17.10. Let us know how it goes.

badrihippo Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 I see several scripts in that directory (hh_aeon.sh, hh_aeon_ht.sh, hh_etn.sh and hh_etn_ht.sh). Which one am I supposed to use?
wolstech Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 It depends on what your computer has for a processor and what coin you want to mine. The _ht ones are for hyper threading CPUs. ETN or Aeon are the two coins we mine. You can pick either. Most of our miners are on ETN at the moment, though some with older hardware were switched to Aeon so they got a hash rate above 0. 1

Sorry for such a late reply! I used the hh_etn script and it seems to be working fine now. Thanks for all the support
