Username: daskunk, Server: Johnny, Main domain: daskunk.heliohost.org

Hello

My SSL Certificate expired today and I just renewed it and uploaded a new

one to my heliohost web site. After I was all finished, I attempted to

access my site and I'm still getting the "insecure" message. Do I

explicitly need to do anything to make the new certificate take effect?

The Let's Encrypt site mentioned something about uploading the certificate

then restarting the web server but I think that step is beyond my control.

Thank you so much for your excellent service.

Since you picked the Johnny server it can take up to 12 hours for the new certificate to start working. Has it been 12 hours since you updated it?

Thank you very much. I had just uploaded it 15 minutes prior to sending

the email as I couldn't recall if I needed to do anything further on my

end. It hasn't even been an hour yet. But as long as I know that I don't

need to do anything further, thank you again.

The only thing that might need to be done after the 12 hours is up is clearing your cache. SSL certs shouldn’t be impacted by it, but you’d be surprised at the weird things we’ve seen stale cache cause...

Hello

I just checked my web site and I'm still getting the insecure message. I

cleared my browser cache and even tried a completely different browser and

a completely different device. It's been almost 14 hours since I uploaded

the new certificate. I really need the site working today. Can someone

look into it please.

My domain is

domainname: https://www.daskunk.heliohost.org

Primary Domain: daskunk.heliohost.org

Home Directory: /home/daskunk

Thank you very much

Yeah, I've been fiddling with this ssl on your account all day and it just doesn't want to work. Johnny is too overloaded to do ssl well. Ricky and Tommy actually have something called autossl where they install an ssl certificate on all of your domains for you, and then even update it when it gets close to expiring. So that said, my recommendations are:

1) Forget about https and just use http for your site on Johnny.

2) You can delete your Johnny account and move to Ricky.

3) You can delete your Johnny account and move to Tommy (but you'll have to wait nearly 24 hours to create the new account since he's full for the day already.)

4) I can move your account to Ricky for free.

5) I can move your account to Tommy for a donation even though the server is full for the day.

Option 4 is probably best unless you're interested in donating and being on our best, fastest, and highest uptime server.

Hello

I've been checking throughout the day I still can't get to my web site due

to the new SSL certificate not being used. It was renewed and uploaded over

20 hours ago. I know you said it could take up to 12 hours so I waited

throughout the day. I'm not sure what else to do on my side. The

Certificates on Server panel shows the new certificate with the March 2018

expiration date. When I go into the Manage SSL Hosts and select my domain

and click on Browse Certificates, it shows up as selected.

I've tried several different web browsers and client devices and they are

all seeing the site not properly secured screen.

Is there anything else I need to do to enable the new certificate?

Thank you so much for your time.
